This gym is absolutely brilliant and really measures up to the various gyms (local or chain) I've visited across the country. It's spacious, well-equipped, and has a fantastic spa area. Like any gym, it's important to lead by example and clean your equipment and re-rack your weights. I've noticed that most folks here are diligent about keeping things tidy and considerate with the equipment. Tremendous value for what you get here!
Rachel Lewis (6/6/25, 2:30 AM):
The gym is brand new and fully equipped, and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They even have a full basketball court, which is essential for my functional training needs. I was nearly ready to give them a 5-star rating, until I found out about their questionable use of the basketball court.
24 Hour Fitness rents out the basketball court every Tuesday and Thursday night to an external volleyball club, cutting off access to members completely. It's simply not on.
I can understand if the gym reserves certain times for its own classes, but closing the court during peak hours to make extra money from a volleyball club at the expense of its loyal members seems pretty unfair.
If they must rent out the court, they should do it during quieter times when members are less likely to be affected. But it appears that 24 Hour Fitness prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction, which is just not right.
This situation has certainly given me pause about joining this gym, as it seems they are willing to prioritize revenue over member experience within weeks of opening. Who knows what else might be in store down the line?
Joshua Ramirez (6/1/25, 1:35 PM):
Regrettably, this gym's standard has significantly declined in the past year and a half. The men's changing room is shockingly messy. They took away paper towels and all cleaning supplies from the gym about a year ago. That might have been fine if they actually cleaned the gym regularly, but they don't. They removed the paper towels supposedly because teenagers were causing blockages in the toilets with them. So, instead of preventing those teenagers from entering the club or ensuring they were accompanied by their parents, the general manager, in their wisdom, simply removed anything that could be used to wipe surfaces. You can't even use the benches because they have sneaker imprints and other substances that management neglects to clean up. Suddenly, the gym now closes at 9:00 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This change was made without warning. Allegedly, they sent out an email, but it seems that I and several others did not receive it. Another member informed me that it was hidden at the bottom of a newsletter sent out a few weeks ago. You would have expected them to put up signs on the front doors. Apparently, they did so the day before enacting this change. They show no concern for the members because they are a very busy gym and can afford to lose members. Oh, and the changing room is incredibly hot as well. Management has taken no action to address the temperature issue. The gym is great in terms of its equipment and the people who work out there. However, the facilities do not make up for these shortcomings.
Joe Price (5/31/25, 12:23 PM):
I popped into this gym a couple of times in October with a trail pass. It wasn't crowded and the gear was top-notch. I've relocated to Littleton since then, but I got a ring from Dylan, the sales guru at that spot, regarding potential memberships. He was super helpful and answered all my queries thoroughly.
Willie Jordan (5/31/25, 8:28 AM):
I visited this gym a couple of times as a guest, and it could be a decent spot, but it's absolutely filthy. I've never witnessed anyone cleaning anything. The machines are covered in grime and there's a constant unpleasant odor.
On top of that, they charge $10 for "towel service." You receive two small washcloths to dry off your hair and body, and they guard them like they're precious gems. Thanks a lot, 24 Hour Fitness. I think I'll take a pass.
Michelle Ramirez (5/28/25, 11:42 PM):
I've been a member at 24 Hour for about a year now. I travel a lot for work, so I often find myself visiting different 24 Hour Fitness locations. However, I visit the Arvada location most frequently as it's closest to work and home.
During my visits, I've encountered several instances of staff being very rude and unprofessional. It's quite bothersome to see staff sitting on their phones or engaging in conversations with each other without greeting guests. Not to mention, this particular club is often quite dirty. During evening visits, as closing time nears, staff are quite insistent on reminding members that the gym will soon be closing. However, as it approaches 9 o'clock, the night staff can become quite impolite, insisting that members leave promptly when the clock strikes 9. I've even had experiences where staff scolded me, which I find to be highly unprofessional and inappropriate. On one occasion, a young lady yelled into the men's locker room at 8:58 pm, "If you're a man in the men's locker room, GET OUT NOW!" Then, as guests were heading towards the exit, she remarked, "Thanks, can we hurry up? I'd like to go home."
I did not sign up for a platinum monthly membership to be treated or spoken to in such a manner. It's completely unwarranted.
The company chose to alter its business hours, not the members (despite the club's name). While I understand the need to clear out the gym at closing time, there are certainly more appropriate and professional ways to handle this.
Considering this issue, along with concerns about cleanliness and overall customer service, I've been contemplating canceling my membership and potentially joining another gym where my patronage will be valued.
Gloria Fisher (5/28/25, 9:02 AM):
Cheerio! This gym is quite smashing, top-notch equipment and a jolly friendly staff. I must say, I'm quite the enthusiast of 24-hour fitness clubs in general. However, this particular establishment seems to attract a fair share of adolescents who frequent the premises daily. They tend to loiter around the equipment, engaging in idle chatter, which can be a tad bothersome for those of us keen on getting a proper workout. Additionally, the gym tends to get rather warm, and it becomes exceedingly busy post-4 pm until around 9 pm. Cheers!
Virginia Kim (5/27/25, 12:13 PM):
I must say, I wasn't particularly keen on their setup and gear. It was all a bit too flashy for my taste. The staff didn't bother to give me a proper tour either; they just pointed me in the right direction and said, "Go have a look around." The sauna left a lot to be desired as well. In the end, I opted to become a member at a different gym that's conveniently located nearby.
Justin Ortiz (5/26/25, 3:50 PM):
I frequented this establishment from January 2023 to September 2023. The lavatories were consistently unkempt, with a persistent stench emanating from the urinals. I was inundated with review requests multiple times, yet my complaints fell on deaf ears.
If you fancy contending with high schoolers monopolizing the equipment, this is the spot for you. It serves as their "hangout", as their parents prefer to drop them off here rather than supervise them.
The area housing the free weights and bench press was perennially overcrowded.
I have since relocated to a different state where the 24-hour gyms are much superior.
Seek alternatives elsewhere.
Robert Nguyen (5/22/25, 11:49 PM):
I've been frequenting this gym for a year now because of its convenient location, and I must say I am utterly appalled by the lack of cleanliness on their machines - ALL of them. I have no idea what their custodian actually cleans, but it certainly isn't the machines, and it's quite repulsive to see. I can only imagine how grimy the green turf must be. Additionally, this gym has transformed into a high school clubhouse, with machines often crowded by groups of 3-5 teenagers using them as hangout spots rather than for exercise, which is another issue that concerns me.
John Ward (5/22/25, 12:11 AM):
Every time I walk into this gym, the men's restroom is a disaster and reeks of urine. You could visit on a Monday and the identical mess would still be present on Friday. The very puddle of urine you notice on Monday remains untouched by Friday. I would inquire, why have cleaning personnel not been employed? Who is in charge of managing this establishment? How can you run a gym in such a manner with all the potential health risks floating around?
Kathleen Clark (5/21/25, 5:55 PM):
These kind of gym joints ain't for everyone, I reckon. They offer much more than what I myself make use of. I ain't into classes, or fitness trainers, or the basketball court. What I do fancy are them free weights, the cable machines, and the swimming pool. And they do all of these things right proper. A lot of folks gripe about the cost but how do you put a value on your own Fitness, eh? The team is always cordial no matter what time of day I swing by, and they don't try to push me into buying any extras. This spot also provides fresh towels for use.
Madison James (5/21/25, 6:19 AM):
24 Hour Fitness is a handy gym choice with versatile hours, a range of gear, and group sessions to fit various fitness levels. Many spots are roomy, featuring sections for cardio, strength training, and functional exercises. Extras like pools, saunas, and individual coaching provide added value. Nevertheless, certain establishments could enhance cleanliness and equipment upkeep, as a few locations may seem past their prime. Busy periods could lead to crowded areas, hence planning your visit is crucial. In general, it's a dependable option for individuals on the lookout for a flexible and convenient gym, particularly for members who appreciate 24/7 availability.
Sean Baker (5/18/25, 3:35 PM):
This gym has a wide range of equipment, but since the pandemic hit, the cleanliness of this place has gone downhill. The bathroom and locker room floors look like they haven't been cleaned in ages. The toilets are in desperate need of a hazmat team. If you use one of their floor mats, you'll need to bring your own cleaning solution. The equipment is relatively clean because members usually wipe it down after use. However, if you glance at the floor nearby, you'll notice a significant amount of dust, dirt, and sweat stains. On the bright side, they seem to have an abundance of towels and cleaning supplies available. It's disappointing because I've been a member here since they first opened. But if I were to walk in today, I wouldn't consider joining. It's clear that they no longer take pride in maintaining this facility.
Jerry Lewis (5/16/25, 4:24 AM):
It's a proper massive gym, mate. It's got all the gear you could ask for and then some. There are some right impressive folks who train here. The staff is always polite. The place gets real packed during peak hours, so it's no surprise the cleanliness might not be top-notch round the clock. Them reviews moaning about cleanliness ain't taking that into account. If you've got an issue, why not pitch in and help keep the gym clean yourself?
Jordan Reynolds (5/15/25, 11:43 AM):
Update: I'm not quite sure why it's a sweltering 80 degrees at 4:00am every summer morning. During those scorching 100-degree days, it feels like I'm toiling away in a sauna during my workout sessions. Even the staff, who aren't exercising, are drenched in sweat due to the intense heat. This establishment is in dire need of some serious assistance. If folks in this vicinity had another choice for a gym, I'm confident this place would shut down.
I suspect that someone suffered a heat stroke at your facility this morning because of the oppressive heat. The conditions are appalling. All we receive are feeble assurances from the management claiming they strive to maintain cleanliness. However, I don't witness any actual striving taking place. In the summer, temperatures inside reach 80-90 degrees, and during the winter, they're too stingy to arrange for snow removal services. Hopefully, a new gym will emerge in this area and put this place out of its misery.
I used to be quite fond of this gym. I began visiting around 3:30 in the morning to avoid the throngs of high schoolers who flooded in after school, making it nearly impossible to secure a machine. They've somewhat addressed this issue now. However, they want to raise membership fees while also altering the hours. About a month ago, I received an email stating that the gym wouldn't open until 5am on weekdays. This schedule doesn't suit someone like me who needs to be at work by 7:00am. When I inquired at the front desk, I was assured that the gym would be open 24 hours Monday through Friday. Yet, I arrived on a Monday at 4am only to find a solitary sign declaring the delayed opening time of 5am. How can you expect to open at 5am on a Monday, the start of the workweek for most people? If you're adjusting the hours, why aren't there signs posted throughout the entire building, on every door, in every locker room, on every mirror, and at check-in? Furthermore, all the gyms near my workplace have also shuttered their doors.
Logan Taylor (5/12/25, 11:50 PM):
A splendid fitness club, truly one of the finest in the vicinity. Impeccably clean, impeccably maintained, boasting the latest and greatest in fitness equipment. The ambiance within the club is truly invigorating and motivational. I especially appreciate its emphasis on catering to adults and maintaining a serious approach. Dear friends, this is no place for teenage antics. The only drawback is the presence of members who fail to shower before enjoying the wet facilities, such as the pool, saunas, and whirlpool.
Chloe Nelson (5/10/25, 11:29 AM):
I've been frequenting this establishment for about 5 years now. Always have fantastic workout experiences here. I hit the gym 5 days a week. I'm accustomed to the gym being quite crowded after the new year. However, we're almost in March now and it doesn't matter what time of day I come in between 7am and 7pm, it is incredibly packed! And dirty! It's nearly impossible to navigate around the mirrors to access the free weights or the machine weights for that matter. I'm wondering what's going on, did another nearby gym close down? Does anyone have any recommendations for a different gym in Arvada that isn't as crowded and dirty?
Having said that, I adore the vast size of this gym, the high ceilings, and the abundance of equipment they offer. I'm really disappointed and on the lookout for a new gym.
Heather Thompson (5/8/25, 10:24 PM):
Deceptive advertising seems to be a recurrent issue here, mate. Having skimmed through the other Google reviews, it's quite apparent that I'm not the first nor the second customer to have been led astray. While I can't speak for their other branches, this one in Arvada appears to be somewhat out of sync with their advertised promises. A supposedly free 3-day pass that was offered online (through their specific location) was not honored here. I even received an email with a confirmation code for the pass. However, upon our arrival, eager to give the gym a go and break a sweat, we were informed that "we don't do the free passes anymore"... This, my friends, is known as "Deceptive Trade Practices." After looking forward to rejoining a gym next door post-COVID, I find myself let down by the lack of customer service skills and dishonest practices on display here. There were no apologies or attempts to rectify the situation, nor any interest shown in attracting me as a client. It did NOT give off a welcoming vibe, let me tell ya.
Sara Gonzalez (5/7/25, 1:28 AM):
The gear is alright, but it does get proper packed during peak hours and some of the cardio machines are a bit dodgy. The main reason for the low rating is the decision to suspend the towel service, which was a massive convenience for me and a major factor in my choice of this gym. If they were straight up about it and said it was to save cash, fair play...but they put on this pretense about cutting down on water usage and then expect us to bring our own towels.
