I absolutely adore the fact that they open at 5 a.m. so I can get my workout in before heading to the office. Marcus is consistently there to welcome me bright and early each morning. Whenever I visit, I start off with some stretching and then get into training with Moriah - she's absolutely fantastic!! The facility is always spotless, the music is top-notch, and the staff are just exceptional!

Ah, Youfit is absolutely dreadful, mate. They have you jumping through hoops just to cancel your membership. They'll hit you with past due charges even though you're on auto-pay. I still haven't managed to cancel my membership, can you believe it?
Angela Gonzales (5/30/25, 5:13 AM):
I had a few hiccups with the billing and membership details, but the manager, Larry, was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to assist me. The gym itself is top-notch, with a clean and well-maintained facility. The personal trainers are highly knowledgeable and have a good sense of how to push you just enough without pushing you too far.

Outrageous...I popped in to terminate my gym membership. Having relocated an hour's trek away, it made sense to wrap up the membership. Nevertheless, they slapped me with a ten-dollar fee for canceling. It's not so much about the money, but the principle of having to fork out cash just to end the membership. To top it off, I had to make a return trip because the person at the front desk was so scatterbrained that they ended up canceling another member's membership instead of mine. The previous occasions I visited the gym, some equipment was out of order, and the cleanliness level had noticeably declined since I first joined. After today's fiasco, I'm definitely relieved I pulled the plug on my membership.

I've been a member of this gym for 4 years and I have to say, it's brilliant!
The pricing, the opening hours, the staff, the equipment, and the upkeep - all top-notch!
I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to work out.
Daniel Barnes (5/24/25, 7:39 PM):
I must say, this gym really knows how to cater to early birds like myself. There's this lovely lass named Alicia who always gives a warm welcome to everyone bright and early. She's constantly on the go, ensuring everything is in order and making sure the gym is well-stocked. A real gem to have around in the mornings. And let's not forget about the pristine cleanliness and hassle-free environment – top-notch!
Zoey Sanchez (5/23/25, 10:47 AM):
Absolutely love this gym. The staff are super friendly, the place is always spotless, and even at busy times, there's never a shortage of machines and it's never too crowded. There's a fantastic mix of beginners, intermediates, and advanced members. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to work out without feeling intimidated.
Billy Kim (5/23/25, 9:16 AM):
In brief, my advice would be to steer clear of this establishment as well as any other Retro Fitness locations.
I must say, if it were possible, I would assign zero stars to this place. Let me elaborate. Earlier this year, I relocated and duly informed Retro Fitness of this change in circumstances with the intention of canceling my membership. To my dismay, I was informed that in order to terminate my membership, I had to either physically visit the gym where I initially signed up or send a written notice (a rather inconvenient policy, if you ask me). I chose the latter option and sent a letter. In the interim, I ceased to frequent the gym, only to discover that I was still being billed for services I wasn't utilizing. Upon contacting Retro Fitness, they claimed to have never received my cancellation request. Frustrated by this ordeal, I inquired whether I could cancel my membership over the phone, only to be met with another negative response. Unwilling to engage further with an establishment that seemed to have mishandled my situation, I sought the intervention of my bank to prevent any additional charges (considering I had already paid for months in which I hadn't visited the gym due to my relocation).
Following this, I began to receive incessant calls regarding my account, almost on a daily basis, accompanied by various notifications. Despite explaining my situation to them and emphasizing my prior attempts at cancellation, Retro Fitness persisted in their efforts to collect payments. Hoping for a resolution, I reached out to Retro Fitness corporate, only to be met with rudeness and unhelpfulness. Their dismissive attitude left much to be desired, as they simply redirected me back to their cancellation protocol, which I had already followed. As a last resort, I turned to social media to voice my grievances, only to find myself swiftly blocked from interacting with Retro Fitness online. This entire experience has left me utterly dissatisfied. It is regrettable because, objectively speaking, the gym itself offers decent facilities for workouts. However, the company's operational policies, lackluster customer service, and overall negative experience have tainted my perception. A little assistance and understanding on their part could have completely altered the course of this review.

Absolutely lovin' the gym, top-notch equipment. The staff are amazing, they really get me pumped to hit the gym every day. The folks here are just brilliant, super motivated and always lift each other up to keep pushin' on!
Riley Allen (5/20/25, 11:54 AM):
Convenient parking, spotless and contemporary facilities. Affordable rates. There's a juice bar nearby for a refreshing post-workout drink. Alicia is consistently welcoming and supportive. The background music is just right - not too loud, allowing for easy conversations. Spencer has been guiding me towards better health and muscle definition. He's attentive to my previous injuries and adjusts workouts accordingly to ensure progress without aggravating them.
Lawrence Walker (5/16/25, 8:35 PM):
I absolutely adore this gym! The staff is incredibly friendly, and I've had the pleasure of meeting some truly fantastic individuals. It's wonderful how they make an effort to remember their regulars and address you by name. The coaches at YouFit are simply outstanding; they really push you and keep you motivated to perform at your peak. And let me tell you, I am head over heels for the Zumba instructor on Mondays and Wednesdays. If, for any reason, she's unavailable on one of those days, I just can't bring myself to do Zumba and instead opt to concentrate on the machines.
Elizabeth Ortiz (5/12/25, 11:16 AM):
"Absolutely love this gym - it's always clean and well-maintained. Definitely my new favorite spot to work out!"
Harper Kelly (5/11/25, 7:32 PM):
What a marvelous gym! I wholeheartedly recommend it, and let me tell you, Alicia is simply the best. I sincerely hope the company keeps her for a long time. This gym has all the essentials for an effective workout.
Dennis Cruz (5/11/25, 3:03 PM):
Absolutely love this gym! Originally, I was frequenting the Youfit in Mesquite and it just didn't quite cut it for me. However, after making the switch to the Richardson location, I must say it's like night and day. The gym is immaculately clean, boasts a fantastic array of equipment, the staff are exceptionally friendly, and the overall vibe is just spot on. I can't speak highly enough of Youfit, particularly the Richardson branch. Thoroughly recommend it!
Chloe Russell (5/10/25, 11:08 PM):
Absolutely loving youfit! The gym is spotless and top-notch. The staff is so attentive and wonderfully friendly. Larry has been incredibly helpful and patient with all my inquiries. All in all, youfit is definitely the go-to gym!
Ruth Reyes (5/10/25, 3:12 PM):
You Fit Richardson is a phenomenal gym. The equipment is top-notch, with almost every machine and weight available whenever I visit. The staff is fantastic, friendly, and always ready to help. Christian, Armel, and Hollie are great, and my trainer Mariah is exceptional! I highly recommend this place. As someone new to gyms, I have noticed a diverse range of people using You Fit. The monthly memberships are very reasonable.
Mark Kim (5/10/25, 10:57 AM):
Oh dear, let me tell you about this place down the road, what a laughable situation I've found myself in since moving here in March. Consistent issues, I tell you. We had some sessions from our previous gym that they agreed to honor, which I managed to sort out swiftly. However, my wife had a right headache dealing with Holly, the store manager. Promises of returning phone calls were broken, and she had to ring multiple times, and even then, I had to step in and give a gentle nudge.
Come September, I asked for a freeze on my sessions due to financial woes. Lo and behold, within days my trainer was let go without any word to his clients. Imagine my surprise when I turned up for a session and he was gone. I mean, the man worked hard and was always the epitome of professionalism.
Upon discovering this, I asked for my freeze to be changed to a cancellation as I intended to continue training with my trainer elsewhere. Holly kept mentioning their policies, to which I patiently explained that I understood but hoped for an exception given the circumstances. He assured me he'd contact upper management and get back to me by the evening, the next day (Friday), or at the latest, Monday. 1, 3, 5, 7 days passed without a peep. So I called, only to be told I hadn't given him enough time. Excuse me, but he set the timeline! After a good 2.5 weeks of back and forth, we finally got things sorted, and my sessions were "cancelled". Yet alas, I was still charged on 10/10 despite that cancellation.
Back on the phone with Holly, he promised to check into it and ring me straight back. Guess who had to make the call later that day as he was too swamped to come to the phone? Yup, that's right. Called again the next day, and he mentioned the refund was in progress and could take up to 30 days, though hopefully not that long. Now, if we were talking about $20 or $30, that'd be one thing. But no, we're chatting about $160 that I couldn't exactly spare (remember my freeze request due to finances?). So, there you have it. Thanks a bunch, YouFit, for this "splendid" adventure. I'll be canceling my membership and won't be darkening your doors again.
And if anyone out there is told that Holly will be in touch with you, save yourself the wait. Give him a ring yourself and stay on top of things.
Sharon Stewart (5/9/25, 9:00 PM):
This gym community is absolutely fantastic - no waiting around, and they even offer discounts for folks who can't pay the full amount upfront. The boss and the staff are truly fantastic, making this gym stand out above the rest.
Nathan Ortiz (5/9/25, 10:15 AM):
I've been a member here for over 3 years and I couldn't be happier with the place. The gym is equipped with all the latest gear, the bathroom and locker room are always immaculate, and the entire facility is kept sparkling clean thanks to Frank. Javier and Austin at the front desk are always so warm and friendly, asking me how my day is going and offering words of encouragement to get me ready for my workout. And let me tell you about the variety of classes they offer - all free for Lime members, which only costs $20 a month and includes the perk of bringing in a free guest if you don't feel like going solo. I've tried other gyms before, but this one is truly perfect for me. It might just be the perfect fit for you too.
Leonard Brown (5/8/25, 8:49 PM):
After the deception at the Dallas branch, I didn't lose faith in YouFit. It was an issue with the staff. As a consumer, I dislike feeling like someone was being untruthful to me just to make a sale. That's not how business should be done!
I visited this branch and my concerns were addressed. A lovely, tidy gym. The front desk staff were pleasant and explained everything clearly. I'm glad I chose to visit another branch instead of giving up on the franchise completely! Delighted to be a new member :). Deceptive practices are a definite no-go for me. Visit Youfit but explore other branches instead of the one in Dallas for a better experience.
