I 'ad a complimentary personal trainin' session wiv one of the Master Trainers, Vincent. 'E was real professional and attentive. I truly appreciate that Vincent was focused on me goals and explained the rationale behind muscle movements and techniques. As for the facility, the location is spot on, the equipment is modern, and the staff 'ave been very accommodating.

Absolutely dreadful. The gallery place location has been shut down, and now there are twice the number of people in essentially the same size space. Only 4 squat racks for 200 people at once. It's madness to expect $150 a month for this.

Awful cancellation policies. I believed I had committed to a one-year membership, but it turns out it also continued month-to-month after that, so I had to come in and terminate it due to my relocation. When I requested the cancellation, they guaranteed me that I would only be charged for the following month. However, I ended up being charged for two additional months even though I had inquired well before the 30-day deadline and was reassured by the staff member at the counter that it would be okay. On top of that, they tack on a $25 cancellation fee which is just ridiculous. If you have to put customers through so much hassle just to cancel, perhaps it's time to reconsider whether the product you're offering is a worthwhile investment.

After a wee bit of waiting, the new expansion has truly shown its worth. Let me be clear, the refurbishments are not yet fully finished and there's still some work ongoing, so it's not flawless, especially in the locker room sector (but it's getting there). The extended weight floor now boasts two fully equipped cable systems, free weight areas with turf, ample cardio machines, and squat racks. Once more, not flawless, but a significant improvement.
I've been a member since 2008, initially at Gallery Place. I never imagined I would stick around as City Vista seemed rather lacking to me, but this has completely changed my mind. Would highly recommend.

This is the situation at my $200 per month luxury gym. 90% of the lockers are not functional, electrical components are exposed on the wall in the sauna, and the toilet paper rolls are scattered across both stalls in the men's locker room. Pull yourselves together. The staff is all very friendly and skilled, and the recent renovations are a significant improvement, but that doesn't justify neglecting the regular maintenance needed to make a "luxury" gym value for money when there are other alternatives available on the market.

I've been a member for 'bout four months now, and I've been right chuffed with me experience. I mostly go to the classes, and I reckon the instructors are top-notch, with a right wide range o' classes to choose from. I usually pop in in the mornin' or at lunchtime, and I never find the classes too packed. Sometimes it's just me in there, so it's like me own personal trainin' session, innit? They've recently started addin' early classes, like 6:45am on Fridays and 9am on Sundays, which I quite fancy. I got a few trainin' sessions included in me membership fee, but I didn't quite vibe with the trainer - she was a bit pushy sellin' them packages, but I reckon that's par for the course. I 'eard they're fixin' to open a new section and do some renovations soon. Overall, I reckon it's bang for yer buck. I used to pay more than double what I shell out now at F45, but Vida offers a lot more variety and flexibility, so it's well worth it, ain't it?

Equipment is fine, but the atmosphere is off. I popped in on a guest pass to scope it out. It was crowded during peak hours and the vibe was not great—lots of attitude from the folks there. The employees seemed to have no enthusiasm at all. There was a strange energy in the steam room, kind of like thirsty trolls lurking about. The showers were lukewarm at best. And why does the moisturizer in the men's room smell like an old lady's purse? Parking is a nightmare, the merchandise is uninspiring, and at $130 a month... I think I'll save my pennies and go splurge at Barry's instead.

I've just recently terminated my membership at this gym. The equipment seems to be frequently out of order, the promised "upgrade" is way behind schedule, and the facility manager doesn't seem to take accountability for the state of the gym. Equinox may come with a higher price tag, but it truly delivers a premium experience unlike Vida. If Equinox is a bit too pricey for you, there are other gyms out there that can offer a similar experience at a more affordable rate. Cheers!

I concur with the sentiments expressed by other reviewers regarding my desire to appreciate this gym. It boasts a fantastic location and seemingly good equipment. Nevertheless, even before the refurbishment, it grappled with considerable overcrowding and malfunctioning equipment. The primary drawback is the sense of not receiving adequate value for the amount paid. With my wife and I shelling out nearly a combined $300 monthly for membership, one does not avail oneself of a gym that is in top working condition or any accompanying perks commensurate with that price level. Members are allocated a meager 2 guest passes for their entire membership duration (context: they do not renew annually), and even a basic body weight scan (a simple task requiring standing on a machine) will set you back $45 per scan. Never have I encountered such amenities as guest passes and body scans being considered luxurious at any previous gyms I patronized, even those at a significantly lower price range. Member input appears to be disregarded, and were I a potential member, I would explore alternative gyms, even if they lack the convenience offered by Vida City Vista.

This gym falls short in meeting your fitness objectives. There's a lack of equipment variety and quantity, and it's always too crowded. When I raised concerns to the staff regarding the lack of maintenance on the equipment and the absence of clean towels, one staff member actually had the audacity to label me as rude for complaining and even threatened to cancel my membership if I persisted. The customer service at this establishment is completely neglectful and desperately requires a complete overhaul. Moreover, the steam room for men has been out of order for at least half a year. Despite notifying an employee about it, they adamantly claimed that the steam room was functioning perfectly fine.

Update. The loo stall locks are still buggered - for over a year now. The steam room has been out of service for months on end. The showers are proper freezing, and a few bits of kit like the spin bikes have been knackered for ages. And there's been naff all upgrades despite what the manager said. When St James opens up in DC, Vida members will leg it in droves. I'll chuck in some snaps next time I pop into the gym.

I absolutely adore this gym! It's spotless, has a great selection of equipment, and the locker rooms are simply delightful.
Is it pricey, you ask? Well, that's a tough nut to crack. If you're just focusing on pumping iron, then yes. However, when you make full use of all the benefits included in the membership, I firmly believe it's worth every penny.
1. The membership fee covers the majority of classes, and you have access to all VIDA locations. Each VIDA gym I've visited is immaculate, and some even boast endless pools.
2. The sauna, steam room, and luxurious lockers are top-notch. Perfect for unwinding after a workout or a hectic day.
3. The gyms are always striving for improvement. New equipment, new perks—always something to look forward to.
I would wholeheartedly recommend VIDA to anyone dedicated to their fitness routine and eager to make the most of all the amenities available.

The individuals manning the front desk exhibit a consistent rudeness, devoid of any smiles, and sorely lacking in basic customer service skills. Frequently, they appear preoccupied with other duties or conversations with fellow staff members, highlighting the evident absence of proper training protocols. Despite the brand's overarching message of inclusivity and diversity, this specific location and its team fall short of embodying such values, unless you happen to be of caucasian descent.
