TaeKwonDo, Champ Martial Arts is a family-run establishment that truly stands out. My granddaughter has been attending classes here for several years now; she's six years old and absolutely adores it. Champ's has had a tremendous impact on her life. Champ's Martial Arts offers more than just martial arts training; they instill discipline, humility, cultural awareness, fitness, and health, while also emphasizing community involvement on multiple levels with the family at the core.
Lauren Ortiz (5/31/25, 6:30 AM):
I've been training at champ martial arts for nearly four years now, and I must say, the instructors are absolutely brilliant. It's like a second family to me, and the progress I've made under their guidance is truly remarkable.
Daniel Brooks (5/30/25, 6:00 AM):
I've visited a few gyms and dojos, and I've obtained a blue belt in jiu-jitsu. I started training here because my previous gym closed due to Covid. They have a solid system in place. The instructors push me to improve both my physical conditioning and self-discipline. Even though I'm still a white belt, the fundamentals taught here also align with those of jiu-jitsu, and practicing them has practical applications in real fights. As you progress and become more skilled, the fear that often leads to unnecessary conflicts diminishes. Master Yu is strict, but I believe the challenging nature of his program helps me in other aspects of my life. While I haven't gotten to know everyone here well yet, I find that training here is a valuable use of my time. I just wish the adult classes were longer; I always feel a bit melancholic when class comes to an end. Is this the best martial arts gym in Anchorage? I can't say for sure, but I do know that I've made significant progress since joining.
Kevin Phillips (5/29/25, 2:35 PM):
My missus and I were keen on shedding some pounds and getting fit. I proposed martial arts, having had a brief but positive stint in college. Together, we settled on Champ Martial Arts, mainly for its flexible schedule that suited our hectic routines. It's been just what we needed. We've seen a significant drop in weight, we're more active in our daily lives, and our confidence has received an unexpected boost. As grown-up learners, we've felt welcomed and appreciated, almost like kin. Champ Martial Arts has been a fantastic addition to our lives, one that I'd recommend to any adult seeking a new pastime, weight loss, or enjoyable way to get in shape.
Elizabeth Williams (5/27/25, 5:17 PM):
My 5-year-old daughter absolutely adores it! They instill discipline, respect, self-defense skills, and utilize martial arts to make a positive impact on individuals.
Wayne Myers (5/27/25, 2:30 AM):
Champ Martial Arts has really helped me boost my self-confidence and self-esteem, as well as providing a great outlet to release the stress accumulated after a hard day's work. Absolutely love it here! Besides getting in top physical shape, it also works wonders for your mental well-being.
