Trainer-Kirkland Smith Jr, "KJ," has been coaching me for the past three months and the progress we've made has exceeded my expectations. My personal trainer, Owen Browne, Jr., recently transferred from the DuPont branch to the newly opened Metro Center location. The amenities are identical, and the quality is just as exceptional as DuPont. I'd gladly follow Owen to any UP branch, and I'm confident that the trainers at this new spot will be just as fantastic as those at DuPont.

My trainer, Ann, embodies the perfect blend of personal trainer, educator, and motivational speaker reminiscent of a female Tony Robbins (or perhaps Tony is a male Ann?). She motivates and challenges you simultaneously, keeping your goals in clear view even when you may forget them. While you primarily work with one trainer, the entire U.P. team provides support. As athletes themselves, U.P.'s trainers often share best practices for personal goals, be it running a marathon, bodybuilding, or simply improving general health. Despite their dedication to individual goals, the trainers maintain a sense of humor and work cohesively as a team. If all gym environments were like this, I would have joined much sooner.
FACILITIES: Impeccably clean with state-of-the-art equipment. The locker rooms feature showers, some toiletries, and are well-maintained.
BE PREPARED TO PUT IN THE WORK: Expect to be challenged with different exercises, weights, and repetitions. You might sweat profusely, ponder the meaning of life and question why you thought signing up was a good idea, but when you see your progress chart, it will all be worth it.
RESULTS: As a busy individual, I value efficiency and effectiveness. Working with Ann over the past five months has made me the healthiest and strongest I've been in 15 years. My good sir, my spouse and I have been engaged with UP Metro for quite some time now - extending beyond our initial metamorphosis - as it has evolved into an integral, significant, and invaluable facet of our existence. I grappled with juggling work, striving to maintain fitness and well-being, and other duties for an extended period - UP has aided me in prioritizing myself, concentrating on my physical health, and instigating enduring alterations not only to my outward appearance, but to my inner well-being, ability to handle life’s pressures, quality of rest, nutritional habits, and physical prowess. Just recently, we accomplished my inaugural half Ironman competition - a feat I formerly believed unattainable, and it was solely due to UP. Our coach, Zach, accompanied us every step of the journey, refining our workouts inside and outside the gym, customizing our dietary intake, upholding our commitment even during travels, including conducting remote sessions with us. This is what distinguishes UP - it is individualized. If you are committed to effecting a transformation and investing in yourself, you will not encounter any place that can offer support akin to UP.

Allow me to make it crystal clear: ye won't discover a finer trainer at a grander spot than Owen P. Browne Jr. at U.P. Metro Center. I trailed him here from the Dupont U.P. and have been toiling with him for nigh on 2 years. Over that stretch, I've shed off more than 26 percent of body fat to below 15 percent. I've dropped weight and have piled on 10 lbs of pure muscle. And more significantly than any of this, I possess a healthier bond with victuals and fitness: I don't solely fixate on the scale, I don't castigate myself when I overindulge, I don't link all my triumphs to physical advancements or what I can hoist. I've grasped how to establish aims, how to heed my corpus, and look after my psyche. Owen is essentially a life guide; he is sagacious well beyond his years, is an exceptional auditor, and continuously furnishes constructive criticism. Ye genuinely cannot fare better than enlisting at U.P and securing a slot on his agenda.

I enrolled in 36 sessions at the DC Metro location - I was new to personal training and had not been consistent with my gym routine for several years - I cannot recommend this experience enough. From the very beginning, the trainers were supportive and patient, never pushing too hard and offering guidance and responsibility. In particular, Owen has been fantastic, offering motivation and creating a customized plan tailored to my objectives. After completing my initial sessions, I have chosen to sign up for another 24. Overall, a fantastic experience.
