The University of North Dakota (UND) Wellness Center, located in Grand Forks, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to promote health and well-being among students and the surrounding community. This center stands out not only for its impressive array of amenities but also for its commitment to accessibility.

Accessibility Features

One of the most notable aspects of the Wellness Center is its dedication to accessibility. The facility boasts a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park, ensuring that all members of the campus community can enjoy the wide range of services offered. This inclusive approach reflects UND's commitment to providing a welcoming environment for everyone.

Facilities and Amenities

The Wellness Center is often hailed as one of the best places at UND. It features an extensive array of facilities, including: - A rock climbing wall - A covered running track - A well-equipped gym - Large basketball courts While the membership price might be considered steep for some, it's essential to note that for UND students, access to this facility is included in their fees, making it a fantastic resource for maintaining fitness and wellness.

Quality of Services

Visitors have consistently praised the cleanliness and maintenance of the Wellness Center. Highlighting unique areas like the Zen Room for relaxation, the center offers various programs ranging from group exercise classes to wellness education and cooking demonstrations. However, feedback indicates that some equipment could be improved, particularly in the weight room, as some users wish for more standard weight machines and less reliance on free weights.

The Wellness Center operates with varying hours throughout the year. During the spring semester, the facility is open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm on weekdays, which provides ample opportunities for students to engage in various activities. However, some users have expressed the desire for extended weekend hours, especially to accommodate those who cannot visit during regular school hours.

Community and Staff Interaction

The staff at the Wellness Center are frequently described as friendly and helpful, contributing positively to the overall atmosphere. Although some comments pointed out occasional management issues, the general consensus emphasizes the supportive environment for students.

Perfect for a quick check-in on your well-being, but may not be the ideal solution for more complex health concerns.

Lovely atmosphere for a spot of exercise.
Abigail Lopez (5/29/25, 5:10 AM):
The chaps who work there are tip-top, the establishment is smashing. The school does a bang-up job of maintaining the Wellness Center as a student's domain and not a massive, public establishment. However, the management is rather rude, tardy in their responses, and leaves much to be desired. Cheers!
Brittany Campbell (5/27/25, 7:29 AM):

Grace Perez (5/26/25, 11:15 PM):
Lovely establishment. In the winter, you have the option to borrow cross country skis at no cost from the reception.
Terry James (5/25/25, 7:02 PM):
Great experience here! The staff is super friendly and helpful. During peak hours, it can be a bit challenging to find a space to work out, just like any other gym. The location is fantastic, especially for students and locals. Make sure to try out the rock wall - it's a must! You might even spot me doing back levers on the rings.
Brenda Cook (5/20/25, 7:48 PM):
Lovely spot for engaging with students and faculty members
Patrick Ortiz (5/20/25, 6:02 PM):
Rockwall is absolutely fantastic, isn't it?
Nancy Smith (5/15/25, 8:11 AM):
First-rate establishment. It would be splendid if one of the chambers were transformed into a boxing studio. Cheers!
Evelyn Long (5/13/25, 5:32 PM):
The facilities are absolutely marvelous. There are plenty of machines, all well-kept and quite new. You'll find various areas for activities like basketball, inline hockey, and rock climbing. If you fancy it, there's a lovely indoor track, as well as a good selection of cardio equipment. And to top it off, there's even a kitchen space for demonstrating healthy cooking.

One of the best spots at UND! Plenty of room with great amenities like rock climbing, a running track, a gym, a large basketball court, and more. The membership fee may be pricey, but for UND students, it's complimentary as it's included in their fees (I believe!).
