Our paths crossed during a training session in Austin, TX, and despite the distance between us, one of the bright sides of the pandemic has been the chance to participate in classes led by amazing teachers from all over the country. I recently partook in one of Yoga Grace’s "gentle online yoga classes” held on a Tuesday evening from 6 to 7. Upon signing up for the class, you receive a Zoom link to access the meeting at the designated time. Zoom is a user-friendly platform utilized for online gatherings, simplifying the process for all participants. My flatmate and I created our “yoga sanctuary” using items we had at home: yoga mats, books (or yoga blocks), and blankets. As beginners in yoga, we were a bit nervous yet thrilled to embark on this new pastime! Jen's teaching style is soothing, easy to grasp, and adaptable to the home setting. Despite not being in a physical studio, I could sense Jen's guidance and seamlessly follow her instructions while making minor adjustments to suit my body's requirements. Jen excels in imparting knowledge through the online realm, and post-session, she shares a recording for future practice. I eagerly anticipate next Tuesday's class! In summary, I am thoroughly impressed and content with my new pursuit, all thanks to Jen :)
