This fitness center has the loveliest staff! Group workouts are a blast and the trainers are so inspiring! No criticism, only support! Even those new to working out can step onto the gym floor and feel at ease!

I absolutely enjoy my gym sessions at this club. There's a wide variety of machines that suit my preferences and it's never too crowded. The staff are fantastic! Justin will make sure you're all set up and ready to go. Don't forget to mention my name when you see him! Cheers!

I just wanted to share my thoughts on the current situation at Riverpoint following the COVID shutdown. I've been hitting up Riverpoint almost every day since it reopened a few weeks back. I make use of both the cardio room and the weight machines on the main floor. Initially, I was a bit hesitant about returning, unsure of how comfortable I'd be. However, I must say, I've been impressed with the efforts Riverpoint has made to create a clean and safe workout environment.

Before entering the gym, a staff member checks everyone's temperature using a touchless thermometer. At check-in, we're provided with a spray bottle of disinfectant and a towel to wipe down the machines we use. In the cardio room, every other machine is out of order to ensure proper distancing. The crowd is usually sparse enough to maintain even more space between users. On the main floor where the weight machines are located, the number of people can vary depending on the day and time. There have been instances where I've avoided certain machines due to overcrowding, but this hasn't been a common occurrence. I can always find an alternative machine with fewer or no people nearby and return to the ones I skipped once the area clears out.

Overall, I find that the spacing at Riverpoint is sufficient and makes me feel safe. Not many people wear masks, though I personally would consider wearing one during weight workouts for added comfort, particularly when it's busier. I've only encountered one person who didn't clean the machines they used – perhaps their mom always did it for them. Everyone else seems diligent about sanitizing their equipment, and the cleaning staff is consistently disinfecting machines throughout the gym. I'm unsure what more Riverpoint could do to ensure safety and cleanliness. Their protocols have gone above and beyond my expectations, and I'm delighted to be back in my workout routine.

How can you charge the full price and still hold kids camp, while half of your amenities aren't even available? As a 20-year member, I find it completely unacceptable to pay full price for only a fraction of the services. Instead of solely focusing on profits, perhaps consider reducing the monthly fees. By charging less, more members might be encouraged to continue using the gym during this challenging period of COVID-19, instead of feeling like they are being overcharged.
Joe Gutierrez (5/2/25, 11:35 AM):
This gym is top-notch in ABQ! The folks running the place are so welcoming, and they provide a range of classes that suit any timetable. The gym is spotless with modern equipment.
Catherine Allen (5/2/25, 10:34 AM):
There are currently two pools open, and the cardio machines are top-notch! Additionally, the indoor track, basketball, and handball courts are all available for use. Personally, I find the Water Aerobics and Senior classes to be particularly enjoyable. The instructors are fantastic!
You can find us at the southeast corner of Paseo del Norte and Coors Blvd. NW.

Today on the 21st of August, I was out by the pool enjoying the sun when Susan, the manager or employee, approached me to ask for my membership credentials. It was quite a mortifying experience for me, especially with other families and children around. If my phone hadn't been in the locker, I would have had to go through the trouble of retrieving it just to prove my membership. Susan mentioned that someone should have verified my phone when I entered. I even requested towels, so naturally I was taken aback. The whole situation made me feel frustrated, as it seemed like she was singling me out. I was so upset that I ended up leaving. Her actions left me feeling like she was being discriminatory.
Randy Gray (4/29/25, 1:34 PM):
They keep the club spotless and in tiptop shape. The folks there are always so cheerful and ready to assist whenever I pop by. The gear is top-notch for a solid sweat session, and I wholeheartedly endorse this gym. Cheers!
Teresa Lopez (4/29/25, 1:17 AM):
Riverpoint is undoubtedly my top choice gym in Albuquerque! It's my preferred among all the Sports and Wellness gyms in the vicinity. The staff are unfailingly pleasant, the equipment is consistently well-kept and modern. They're dedicated to regular renovations to ensure things stay fresh. The fellow members are also a friendly lot. There aren't too many muscle-bound folks, which means the grunting is kept to a minimum!
