Welcome to Westford Regency Health Club in Westford, Massachusetts

The Westford Regency Health Club is a community hub for fitness enthusiasts in Westford, offering various amenities and services designed to cater to all members. Whether you're planning a workout, looking to swim, or relax in the sauna, this facility provides a comprehensive fitness experience.

Amenities That Cater to Everyone

One of the standout features of the Westford Regency Health Club is its extensive amenities. The club boasts a swimming pool, which is particularly appealing for families, as it offers designated family swim times. While some patrons have noted that the pool has been closed in the past, many still appreciate its presence when operational, especially with its saltwater feature that is gentler on the skin compared to traditional chlorine pools. For parents, the club is indeed good for kids, offering childcare services, which are both affordable and convenient, allowing parents to focus on their workouts without worrying about their children. However, it is essential to plan ahead since the class schedules can be more convenient when coordinated with childcare services.

Accessibility for All Members

The Westford Regency Health Club ensures that its facilities are inclusive. It features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and wheelchair-accessible car park, making it easier for all community members to access the gym. However, feedback indicates that some areas, such as locker rooms, require more attention to cleanliness and maintenance.

Sauna Experience and Cleanliness

The sauna is meant to be a relaxing retreat after a vigorous workout. Unfortunately, reviews have pointed out cleanliness issues within the sauna and steam room, affecting the overall experience. Potential members should consider this aspect when planning their visit, especially if they prioritize hygiene.

Membership Insights

While a membership is required to enjoy the various benefits of the health club, the pricing has raised some concerns among long-time members. With recent price increases, some feel that the value may not match the cost, especially considering the aging equipment and facility maintenance issues highlighted in reviews. Many members value the classes, personal training, and the overall atmosphere, so it's worth evaluating the offerings before committing.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Westford Regency Health Club offers a range of amenities and programs suited for various fitness levels and needs. While there are areas needing improvement, particularly concerning cleanliness and equipment updates, it remains a vital part of the Westford fitness community. If you're looking for a place that caters to both physical fitness and family needs, it might just be worth a visit.

Outstanding instructors of various ages. All in superb shape! Absolutely adore this establishment. Impeccably clean, staff is welcoming, and the hours are fantastic! The addition of the new saltwater pool is a huge hit! I truly believe I am receiving exceptional value for everything they provide!!!!

At the old prices of $400 per year, it was hardly worth the money. The Nautilus and free weight equipment is ancient, at least 30 years old. The locker rooms, showers, and restrooms are in dire need of more thorough cleaning and maintenance. With the new prices of $600 per year, it's not even worth considering. You can pay half that, or even less, at nearby gyms with modern equipment. On top of that, they've done away with the senior citizens discount. Absolutely disgraceful.
Frank Morris (5/10/25, 8:37 PM):
First off, the entire gym is completely outdated. There is equipment with pieces that have been taped back together, it's clear that the gym is not well-maintained. The women's locker room is awful. It's carpeted from ceiling to floor... There's a sauna, but it's dirty. A wooden panel on the floor is black with dirt and debris. Under the panel, you can see dirt and piles of hair that have been left there, showing that cleaning is not a priority. The floors near the walls have orange stains, and the sauna walls are cracked with sweat marks. The steam room has an unpleasant odor... it was just a horrifyingly unpleasant experience.
Amelia Alexander (5/7/25, 11:25 PM):
The equipment is top-notch, with treadmills that come fully loaded. The staff is incredibly friendly and well-informed, and having childcare available is a fantastic added bonus. The locker rooms are spacious and spotless.

The value for what you get is excellent, with a wide range of fitness options including swimming, various studio and spin classes, racquetball, weights, and a great selection of fitness equipment. I've been a member of several local clubs, but none of them offer the same variety of fitness options.

While the fitness center is located in the basement of the hotel, they have effectively utilized the space and have been running a successful fitness club for years. Headroom is not an issue at all.
Logan Thomas (5/7/25, 4:36 AM):
A marvelous and cozy ambiance for getting your sweat on! The membership offers a plethora of perks like gym access, racquetball, both wet and dry saunas, showers, and classes. No sneaky fees involved, and there's an optional babysitting service for just $2 per visit. My kiddo absolutely adores it. And let me tell you, the staff is absolutely top-notch! You won't be let down.
Bryan Myers (5/4/25, 12:32 AM):
We came to see the Christmas tree and gingerbread house exhibit. It was a lovely, peaceful holiday event. There were two additional families present when we visited on a Saturday evening.
Layla Price (5/1/25, 8:49 PM):
This Hotel Health Club is truly outstanding, surpassing the majority of gyms out there.
Roger Patterson (4/25/25, 8:15 PM):
Superb coaches, pristine gym, delightful members.
Ruth Graham (4/20/25, 10:42 PM):
Fabulous classes. Lovely staff.
Judy Hernandez (4/19/25, 10:54 AM):
A very affordable and pristine gym for folks in Westford. We take advantage of the family swim time, and the pool is consistently well-maintained.
Gabriel Howard (4/13/25, 12:50 PM):
The gym itself is fine. I've always enjoyed the fitness classes, but they recently hiked up their rates from $250 per year to $600, and it's just not worth it anymore. The place got taken over by these "investors," and that's when they let go of some great instructors and jacked up the prices. I've been a member for over 20 years, but it was way better back in the day. I don't really use the pool or most of the equipment, so the new price tag is a tough pill to swallow. Plus, they didn't even give us loyal members a heads up to renew at the old rate.

My son used to be a member too, but he's over 6 feet tall, and because the gym is in the hotel basement, he could only use the equipment where he could punch through the ceiling panels.

It's convenient for me, but I'm not sure if I can bring myself to pay that new price. The equipment is outdated, and they don't have my favorite instructors teaching the classes anymore. Money talks, I guess!
Hannah Cox (4/8/25, 8:19 AM):
This particular fitness center in Westford is by far one of the most poorly managed establishments I have ever come across. Despite some efforts to renovate their locker rooms, they still emit unpleasant odors and house dirty showers. Lately, the gym has been closing unexpectedly due to supposed 'leaks', leaving patrons in the dark about what's truly happening. It's a frustrating waste of time to make the trip there only to discover it's closed without any prior notification. Additionally, their pool has been out of commission for over a year, which is not just disappointing but also highlights the lack of competence and cost-saving measures being implemented by the management. I strongly advise against choosing this subpar gym. Fortunately, there are numerous alternatives available in Westford, such as Best Fitness and a multitude of other fitness centers.
Kathryn Jordan (4/5/25, 9:29 PM):
The carpeted floors, such as in the ladies' changing area and common areas, encourage individuals to walk around barefoot.
Martha Hughes (4/1/25, 1:28 AM):
$60 a month for a student discount is quite pricey, but I was willing to pay. However, the girl on the phone assisting me was really impolite. I would not recommend it.
