Sarah Turner (6/6/25, 9:02 AM):
Sunny H was quite handy and speedy in assisting me with my gym membership.
Megan Jackson (6/6/25, 12:15 AM):
I've been frequenting this gym for about two weeks now, starting on the 4th of August. I must say, the gym is well-kept and tidy. However, there is a limited amount of equipment available, with some machines being out of order. It always seems pretty crowded, almost like there are three people to every machine. The atmosphere is more like a social hangout spot, with most people chatting and lounging around on their phones rather than working out.

If you're looking to have a quick in-and-out workout session, this may not be the ideal place for you. Be prepared to wait your turn for equipment as it can get quite busy.
Brittany Martinez (6/4/25, 11:52 PM):
On the whole, a lovely gym.

The men's changing room could use more frequent tidying up, but overall it's in good condition.

The team is friendly, the amenities are delightful, and it's simply a great spot to exercise.
Frank Coleman (6/2/25, 7:33 PM):
Sunny was a great help in getting me set up with my gym membership!
Jordan Ortiz (6/2/25, 2:35 AM):
Jordan is a liar and a thief. He failed to mention that for a month-to-month plan, the second member must pay their fees in full and cannot opt for a payment plan. Additionally, he did not inform me about the extra $45 fee per person, which was not disclosed on the contract page. When I initially signed up, I had expressed my intention to only commit to 3 months. Upon completing my payments by the end of the second month and informing him of my decision to leave the gym, I was still charged at the end of the third month. It turns out that he never processed my cancellation request. I would advise against choosing this gym as they are excessively expensive and engage in dishonest practices.
Ava Garcia (6/1/25, 4:10 AM):
Some of these machines ain't hitting that heavy, mate, and some of 'em are a bit wonky, innit? Could do with some proper cleanin' stations and a good scrub down of the entire gym. If you're lookin' to work on those abs in the aerobic room, better pray there ain't a class goin' on. Them cardio machines, well, they're a bit dodgy, if ya ask me. But apart from all that, the staff are really sound and friendly. If ya ever need a hand, they'll sort ya out. The new lot aren't as cool, though.
Cynthia Martin (5/31/25, 3:03 PM):
Susie be one of the cleaning ladies at 24 Hour Fitness, she be keepin' the gym spotless and always greetin' everyone with a smile. If only there were more workers as dedicated and kind as her!
Gregory Rivera (5/29/25, 1:29 AM):
The water pressure in the showers is fantastic, but it seems like the construction company that worked on them might need to rethink their approach. The placement of the shower hook in the stall is a bit off – it's getting in the way of the water because it's right where the glass panel should be. It's frustrating because the glass panel is supposed to serve a purpose, but now it's just a spot to put your toiletries where they end up getting wet anyway.

Additionally, the soap box is positioned awkwardly right where your elbows go when you're washing your hair, which can make the spacious shower stall feel cramped. It would have been better if they had placed it across the way, like most 24hr fitness locations do.

It seems like whoever was in charge of installing things in the showers didn't take the time to consider these usability issues.
Ruth Reed (5/27/25, 11:19 AM):
Disappointing customer service experience at this gym. Initially, there's a push to sell you a membership, but once you're on board, the welcoming atmosphere quickly fades. Upon arrival in the morning, the staff member with long, curly hair either disregards your presence or appears inconvenienced by your visit. It would greatly benefit the establishment to have more front desk staff with strong interpersonal skills, rather than unhappy and impolite individuals who detract from what should be a positive engagement.
Donald Myers (5/24/25, 11:03 AM):
I remember back when this gym first opened, it was the top spot in the high desert. I've been a member since around 2003, and when they changed up how access worked for the Active location, I found myself without a nearby gym. The gym itself hasn't changed much over the years, which is a bit disappointing. Plus, having to pay more for access when I've had a membership since 2004 was a letdown due to Corporate decisions to close the only Active gym in the area. I suppose only time will tell how things will pan out. Lately, it's been pretty packed, especially before and after 9 pm, making it tough to easily hop on the machines you want. Personally, I'm not really into free weights, so the availability of benches doesn't bother me much.
Judith Powell (5/21/25, 9:22 PM):
I just had to give a massive shoutout to Sunny! She hooked me and my bestie up with an amazing membership deal. Thank you so much, girl! 🫶🏻
Joseph Nelson (5/21/25, 2:45 AM):
Great location, mate. The staff is absolutely lovely, and I must say I'm quite chuffed with the Jacuzzi, Steam Room, and Sauna amenities. Those are top-notch perks that really set 24 Hour Fitness apart from other local gyms, you know? The location is spot on, safe as houses, and it's always a relief to see the Apple Valley PD keeping an eye on the parking lot. The weights, equipment, and cardio offerings are brilliant, and the vibe and tunes are truly smashing. The telly selection ain't half bad either, love watching HGTV while getting me cardio in and catching up on the news. I reckon it'd be ace if they turned that old kids club into a Massage Spa lounge like some other gyms, with massage chairs and tanning beds. That'd be proper posh and worth upgrading your membership for, wouldn't it? Anyways, this place is a winner in my book any time of day. Folks are sound, friendly, and make you feel right at home. 24 Hour really is me favorite hour of the day, no two ways about it!
Arthur Walker (5/19/25, 2:42 PM):
I was all set to hit the gym with my 3-day pass, but when I arrived and presented it to the chap at the front desk, he promptly turned me away. He insisted that I provide an ID showing a local address, which struck me as rather peculiar because other gyms I've frequented didn't have such a requirement. All they cared about was confirming my age, end of story. While I do have a membership account, it's currently on hold since my gym visits were on hiatus during my time at school. My intention was simply to return for a weekend workout session, but alas, the customer service at your establishment left much to be desired. Not even a gesture towards alternative options or solutions was made. If that fellow behind the counter is seeking a career change, I'd be more than happy to step in and assist customers with a smile.
Nancy King (5/17/25, 2:07 PM):
Back in the day, the gym's pool used to be a fantastic spot. Any issues with class space were promptly resolved. However, lately, some individuals have been blowing their noses, spitting mucus, and cleaning themselves in the pool. Dealing with infectious waste can pose serious health risks. When I brought this up to the manager, Sahara Johnson, I was brushed off and told it was fine, and corporate couldn't intervene. It seems that now this situation falls under the jurisdiction of the health department unless they install cameras like other gyms in the area. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in standards.
Joyce Rivera (5/17/25, 2:22 AM):
I must say, I have some reservations about 24hr fitness. It could just be this particular branch, you know? Something seems off. They really should address their maintenance and cleaning procedures, pronto. The equipment always seems to be out of order, and getting it fixed takes forever, if it happens at all. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired! Everything is grimy - the equipment, floors, walls, lockers, restrooms, pool area, sauna, steam room, you name it. It's all just dreadful. I've never witnessed anyone scrubbing the locker rooms, restrooms, sauna, steam room, or pool area floors, or even doing any cleaning for that matter. It's repulsive. The moment you step inside, the stench hits you like a ton of bricks! What a letdown! It might be time to scout for a new gym. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Louis Fisher (5/16/25, 3:09 PM):
I do say, 24 Hour Fitness is quite the preferred choice among the various gyms in the vicinity. I've had the pleasure of sampling a couple others, but none quite compare. The layout, facilities, and array of equipment truly do stand out. Though, I must admit, the older model elliptical machines with handles are in need of a refresh. They seem to lack a phone holder, not all feature BP readings, and some do have a bit of a hitch in their wheels.
Vincent Hamilton (5/13/25, 9:27 AM):
Absolutely thrilled to be hitting up 24 hr fitness on the reg, mate! It's become a proper part of my daily grind now. Been sweating it out at this gym for a solid eight years, I reckon. The staff are top-notch, dead friendly bunch. Place is always spotless and kitted out with proper gear for any kind of workout, and the classes are a right good laugh too. The instructors are absolute champs! Definitely deserving of a top-notch 10-star rating, no question!
Charlotte Gray (5/1/25, 1:35 AM):
I absolutely adore the gear at this gym - it's so tidy and there are plenty of options to keep myself busy. I'll definitely be returning!
Janet Hill (4/30/25, 11:17 PM):
The gym is starting to go downhill, with a shower and locker room that are dirty. You're lucky if there's any body wash left in the shower, and it's been three days without hot water - not the first time this has happened. I used to pay more before the pandemic, but I was content with the service. Not anymore.
Jonathan Morales (4/30/25, 8:31 PM):
The cardio machines are constantly covered in dust. When something breaks, it seems to take ages for it to get fixed. And every now and then, there's a shortage of toilet paper in the restrooms. There are 4 sanitation stations, but sometimes only 2 of them have the cleaning solution stocked. To top it off, they've increased the price by 2 dollars. Fingers crossed we'll start to see some improvements soon! 🤞🏼
