My new favorite gym! Just signed up with the Labor Day special a couple of days ago. Absolutely adore how they are open 24 hours on certain days of the week! I detest feeling like I must be somewhere at a particular time. This fits perfectly into my schedule. Just left at midnight and had the best workout I've had in ages. Additionally, all the staff members are super cool and the gym is immaculate. Absolutely loved everything about it tonight!
If I could rate this place a zero, I would. Terrible customer service. I have been trying to cancel my membership due to an injury. The policy says to provide a doctor's note (which I did). They emailed me back saying I was all set, but it turns out they cancelled the wrong account and kept charging me. Then, they emailed me saying my doctor's notes are not enough to cancel my membership, even though I provided a year's worth of notes. I went in person and talked with Manager Devin. He said I would be refunded within 3-5 business days, but that never happened. Every time I go to talk with him, he supposedly is not there. I left my number various times to hear back from him or any manager, but I have never received a call back. Even if you provide evidence to get out of the contract, they will not honor that. This place is a scam.
Marvelous gym with top-notch equipment, impeccable maintenance, and cleanliness. The entire staff is truly exceptional. The only downside, which seems to be common in all gyms, is individuals hogging a machine for too long, especially when engaged in phone conversations.
Hello, I am writing to share my feedback on trainer Jon. I must say that he is a phenomenal trainer, excelling in both one-on-one sessions and group classes. Thanks to his personal training and group classes, I have achieved my goal weight and made more progress than I had hoped for. Everyone, including myself, thoroughly enjoys all of the group classes he leads, and we would be disappointed if Thursday's class were to be removed.
I would kindly request for more availability for his classes on Fridays, as they are incredibly motivating and we love participating in them. Jon's group classes are dynamic, offering a variety of workouts that keep us engaged. He is the only trainer whose classes fill up quickly, demonstrating how attentive he is and how much we all enjoy his sessions.
Splendid gym, chum! The staff are quite alright. My issue is that it's constantly jam-packed, and you find yourself waiting and waiting for equipment to become available. It's rather exasperating, I must say. Stellar work on the recruitment campaign... it may have been a bit too successful though, as there seems to be an overabundance of folks at nearly every hour.
All the gym essentials are covered here - from a wide variety of equipment to diverse class options, a cinema, sauna, and a dedicated women's workout area, to top it off with a smoothie bar.
However, what truly sets this gym apart is the attentive and well-informed staff who are always there to support you.
Edge Fitness in the Attleboro location is truly one of the finest gyms I've had the pleasure of being a member of.
The cleanliness, especially in the locker room and bathrooms, is always top-notch. The equipment is of exceptional quality! The customer service is outstanding, with every staff member being extremely welcoming and ready to assist you.
There's a wide range of classes catering to everyone's needs. The community of members is incredibly diverse, and all the gym-goers are really friendly!
The staff be fantastic, a vast array of machines, and always clean and orderly. It do get busy at times so certainly be needin' more locations!
Update: The thing is you chaps have shown a pattern of denying requests, there's another reviewer where you guys replied she did not meet the criteria (which is disclosing information publicly, unacceptable).
It's deeply concerning to witness Edge Fitness’ discriminatory practices and disregard for customer rights, particularly under laws like the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Publicly responding to a customer by disclosing that their medical documentation does not meet your “criteria” is not only inappropriate but also raises potential HIPAA violation concerns. It is unacceptable for a business to publicly address sensitive medical issues, even indirectly, in a manner that may humiliate or shame the customer. This is discriminatory and reflects a lack of understanding or respect for individuals with disabilities.
As someone who has personally experienced the unfair treatment and refusal to allow membership cancellation due to a disability, I am appalled by the pattern of behavior exhibited by this gym. Denying someone the right to cancel based on valid medical reasons or disabilities shows a blatant disregard for the law and ethical business practices. This type of conduct appears to be part of a larger systemic issue at this gym, as evidenced by other similar complaints.
The experiences described in this review also highlight alarming behavior from upper management, including retaliation, abuse of power, and a refusal to address legitimate concerns. Cancelling memberships as a form of retaliation against customers who speak out is both unprofessional and unethical. The general manager’s failure to resolve these concerns in good faith and their insistence on protecting the offending manager rather than listening to customers reflects poor leadership. To make matters worse, fabricating claims about customer requests to cancel memberships, as described here, demonstrates a complete lack of accountability and integrity.
Edge Fitness must be held accountable for these discriminatory and retaliatory practices. Discrimination against individuals with disabilities, refusal to accommodate medical situations, and retaliatory actions against members for expressing their concerns are not just bad business practices—they are violations of federal law. If others have experienced similar treatment, I would strongly encourage them to explore their legal options under the ADA and other applicable laws. A class-action lawsuit may very well be warranted if this pattern of discrimination and abuse of power continues.
To Edge Fitness management: You have an obligation to treat your members with dignity and respect, particularly those who are protected under disability and anti-discrimination laws. I urge you to review your policies, train your staff on proper accommodations under the ADA, and immediately cease practices that involve retaliation or dismissive treatment of customer complaints. Failure to take these issues seriously could have serious legal and reputational consequences.
This review should serve as a warning to others considering this gym. Until meaningful change occurs, it is clear that Edge Fitness does not prioritize its members' rights, well-being, or the law.
This gym is absolutely smashing! The folks working here are top-notch, always so friendly and welcoming. I feel right at home asking any questions I might have. The atmosphere is spotless and tidy, with a plethora of equipment for a proper workout. I've brought a few mates along, and they're chuffed with this gym too.
I've been coming here for 3 months now, and every week there's something off about this place - from the sauna being closed to workout machines being out of order. It's challenging to justify the membership price when you're not getting the full benefits half the time. Once my year is up, I'll definitely be on the lookout for a new gym. If you decide to come here between 3pm and 9pm, good luck - you'll have to compete with others for the bench presses and dumbbells. The only positive aspect of this gym is the cleaning staff.
