Planet Fitness Brighton, Colorado: A Comprehensive Overview
For those in Brighton, Colorado, planning to pursue a fitness journey, Planet Fitness offers a convenient option. This gym, known for its affordability and welcoming atmosphere, aims to cater to a diverse clientele. However, recent comments from gym-goers highlight several concerns regarding its services and facilities.
Accessibility and Amenities
One of the key strengths of Planet Fitness Brighton is its wheelchair-accessible entrance and wheelchair-accessible car park. These features ensure that all members can access the facility comfortably. Moreover, the gym boasts wheelchair-accessible toilets and showers, ensuring that everyone has the amenities necessary to enjoy their workout experience without barriers.
Cleanliness and Maintenance Issues
Despite its advantages, numerous members have expressed dissatisfaction regarding the cleanliness of the facility. Complaints about dirty restrooms, especially the women's locker room, have been common. There have been reports of unclean toilets, overflowing trash cans, and a lack of basic supplies like toilet paper and paper towels. Many users anticipate that locker and restroom cleaning should be a daily priority for management.
Furthermore, equipment maintenance poses another challenge. Reviewers frequently mention outdated machines, broken equipment, and a lack of timely repairs. For instance, members have voiced frustration over machines that have been out of service for extended periods. This highlights a pressing need for better maintenance practices if Planet Fitness intends to maintain its reputation as a reliable gym.
Staff Interaction and Customer Service
The gym's staff interaction experiences also draw mixed reviews. While some patrons describe friendly staff who provide assistance and a positive atmosphere, others report instances of unprofessional conduct. Some members recall not being greeted upon entry or experiencing rude behavior from staff, which detracts from the overall environment of the gym.
Moreover, there seems to be a prevailing issue regarding staff availability during peak hours. Complaints indicate that staff often congregate at the front desk rather than ensuring the gym remains clean and well-stocked with necessary amenities. This can leave patrons feeling neglected and dissatisfied during their visits.
The Atmosphere and Membership Requirements
When it comes to atmosphere, many enjoy the casual vibe of Planet Fitness. However, the cleanliness issues may compromise the overall experience. The gym requires a membership to access its facilities, making it crucial for potential patrons to weigh the positive aspects against the concerning feedback regarding maintenance and staff professionalism.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Planet Fitness Brighton presents a mixed bag for prospective gym-goers. While it provides essential amenities and accessibility options, the ongoing challenges related to cleanliness and equipment maintenance cannot be overlooked. Those planning to join should consider these factors while making their decision, aiming for a gym experience that meets their personal fitness needs in a clean and supportive environment.

I used to fancy this establishment for its equipment and staff. However, when the pandemic struck, their business model's shortcomings were laid bare. One month, my payment didn't go through so I couldn't exercise. Seemed fair to me - no pay, no play. Yet, the next month, I settled my dues eagerly anticipating a good workout only to discover, "you still owe us from last month." I thought, "I didn't pay, so I don't get to work out, right?" Well, nope. No workout, but you still owe us. They expect me to pay for a service I didn't receive? That makes no sense! I attempted to address these matters today, but they remained firm. As a result, I am switching to Anytime Fitness. I urge others to do the same. Their business approach lacks consideration for the average gym enthusiast.

A certain manager named Chino, I reckon, refused me entry and attempted to embarrass me over an annual fee that I was informed had been settled. I personally visited on the agreed-upon day to pay, only to be reassured that everything was sorted. Folks like Chino tend to let power go to their heads once they have a smidge of authority. I shan't be returning to this Planet Fitness branch ever again.

I quite fancy the flexibility to terminate your membership at any time. The gear appears to be in good shape, but I mainly stick to the treadmills or rowing machine. The staff are jolly friendly. I take pleasure in the massage lounges post my workout. The variety of beverages is rather pleasant. The survey whiteboards are quite nifty. As for areas of improvement, I wouldn't mind additional classes and more personnel manning the front desk. Cheers!

This gym, it's quite affordable, you know, and they've got plenty of signs all over about social distancing. They even have lots of places to clean your stuff. But, here's the thing, some of the staff do wear a mask, but then there are others who wear them under their noses, which doesn't really make sense, does it? Around a quarter of the gym members wear masks, while the rest don't bother. And they tend to crowd around the most popular equipment, like the free weights, without giving much space. Just thought I'd give you that bit of info before you decide to go. Cheers! 😄

I've been a member for quite some time now and I've never seen it become so dirty and disgusting over the past 3 months. The women's bathrooms are very messy and every time I use the bathroom, there's no toilet paper in at least three stalls. It seems like the stalls are never cleaned. I love the environment here, but I wish the staff weren't chatting and lounging all the time and were instead making sure they have this place welcoming and clean. It makes me really wonder what actually hasn't been sanitized properly.
Susan Murphy (5/24/25, 8:42 PM):
The staff at Planet Fitness in Brighton, Colorado always make our daily visits an enjoyable experience. They are consistently friendly and welcoming, greeting us by name each time we walk through the doors!
Samantha Hamilton (5/22/25, 12:31 PM):
This particular gym is disgustingly filthy. The staff didn't bother to give me a friendly greeting when I arrived or left, and the shower area resembles a pigsty from the 17th century. Tomorrow after work, I'll definitely be taking a longer drive to a gym with more enthusiastic employees.
Lisa Lee (5/21/25, 12:07 PM):
The gym is alright, but the showers have been lacking hot water consistently for months. Quite disappointing, really.
David Powell (5/21/25, 4:46 AM):
I absolutely ADORE the gym. There's no need to wait for a treadmill as there are plenty available. The machines that have a partner function are incredibly convenient. The facility is immaculately clean. The bathroom is fantastic with showers, hair dryers, and lockers. Definitely a must-try! The staff is also top-notch.
Zachary Nguyen (5/21/25, 12:10 AM):
In the morning, the staff are fantastic. However, after 5 am, it becomes crowded and individuals tend to monopolize the machines. They place a duffle bag or phone on them and use 2-3 machines at once. It's frustrating, I didn't realize one could be in two places at once. Other gym-goers also have commitments and with these delays, getting a proper workout is quite challenging.
Brandon Gomez (5/19/25, 5:03 AM):
I couldn't ask for more, mate! I popped into the gym to inquire about memberships, and the bloke assisting me was a proper gem. Currently, I don't have a membership, but soon enough thanks to his help, I will. I'm 16, and my folks usually outright REFUSE to sign off on gym waivers. Bit odd, really, 'cause I've got a car, a job, can afford it, and a driver's license, yet they're dead set against me having a gym membership for some reason. However, he helped me figure out a way around it. I'll give it a go with the 'rents, but if that falls through, I'll head over to Lakewood or get my brother in Oklahoma to lend a hand. Massive thanks to the chap who assisted me - I genuinely appreciate it! :3
Amelia James (5/18/25, 9:14 PM):
Not requiring masks is absolutely appalling given the rising number of cases we are experiencing daily. The fact that masks are only mandatory in certain areas while working out vigorously in others renders their use ineffective. I am truly disheartened by Planet Fitness's stance on this matter and will certainly be seeking an alternative gym once it is deemed safer to return. Your lack of adherence to safety guidelines is contributing to the further spread of the virus. 🦠 (I used to love this gym before the pandemic, and the staff was always friendly, but their response to a global health crisis speaks volumes.)
Charles Ramirez (5/17/25, 6:08 PM):
This gym is absolutely dreadful, mate. Don't even think about signing up! The blokes working there haven't a clue about their own contracts. I've been trying to reach Christie, who's supposed to be the "manager," for over a month now. Sent her two emails and made five phone calls, but still no response. The staff just keeps telling me she's busy and will get back to me. What a load of rubbish! I've wasted a right lot of money because the staff are useless and don't know a thing. Proper training is essential for any decent company, innit?
Jean Hayes (5/16/25, 1:01 AM):
I do fancy the gym's affordable rates and wide array of equipment. However, the state of the bathrooms is rather dreadful. It seems one could have a complete grooming session - trim hair, charge devices, and even do laundry in the showers - and no one bats an eye.
Dylan Morales (5/15/25, 8:18 PM):
No 'ot water and low water pressure in the shower, it's been this way for the 10 months I've been using that facility.
Grace Young (5/10/25, 11:53 PM):
When I strolled into the Brighton Planet Fitness to gather some intel, I was greeted with smiles and a great vibe! Eric was super helpful with all my queries and ensured I got a comprehensive tour of the facility along with an explanation of all the available options! Ever since I signed up, I continue to absorb the positive aura from the staff and eagerly anticipate my workout sessions, followed by unwinding in the hydro massage chairs to relax after a tough day!
Judy Phillips (5/10/25, 3:18 AM):
I doth enjoy frequenting this gym, but alas, I did sign up with the belief that upon the lifting of the Covid restrictions, I would have access to a 24-hour gym. Alas, all other locations have indeed returned to their 24-hour operations, yet this particular establishment hath not followed suit.
Fear not, for this gym is conveniently situated but a mere couple of blocks from mine abode. Alas, should I wish to engage in nocturnal workouts, I must make the trek to Thornton, where a 24-hour location doth await.
As a humble night worker, the current operating hours dost severely limit the times at which I may partake in my exercise routine. Alas, such limitations dost weigh heavily upon my heart. :(
Judy Ortiz (5/7/25, 1:29 PM):
Absolutely smashing new gym in Brighton, I must say! Simply adore the fact that it's open 24 hours and boasts such an expansive facility. The team in the evening is top-notch. Linda and Ashley are absolute gems as managers, doing a splendid job! With my background in customer service from a company renowned for its exceptional service, I can confidently say that Linda and Ashley are keepers! Fantastic work all around! :)
Andrew Jones (5/5/25, 3:48 PM):
Compared to other Planet locations in the city, this one is not that great. The machines are outdated, there are no new machines as advertised for this year, and the restrooms are dirty more often than not.
Lawrence Sullivan (5/1/25, 4:19 AM):
The staff is practically non-existent. I inform all my mates in Brighton that this gym is free since no one is ever manning the front desk. Today, I waited for 15 minutes for a barbell pad for my missus and there wasn't a soul in sight. I've taken to bringing my own wipes, as whenever the elderly chap is on duty, there are never any towels at the cleaning stations. Planet Fitness, as a whole, has a poor reputation in the weightlifting community, so they really can't afford any slip-ups.
