If you're looking to get in shape with strength training, this is the spot for you. The trainers here are top-notch and they offer a range of class times to fit your schedule. Plus, they have plenty of space for working out while maintaining social distancing.

To Andrea and Ted, I understand that work is necessary for a living, but it seems like so much more than that. It's about contributing to a greater good! A place where individuals can strive to be their best selves. You two are familiar with all your clients, their strengths, weaknesses, highs, and lows, and you are there from the moment they step through the gym doors until Ronnie finally heads home. Your passion for what you do and the individuals you do it for is truly inspiring and something I haven't encountered before. I am excited to grow and improve myself as we continue this journey together 😊 @levelheadeddoc @diablobarbell

I stumbled upon Diablo Barbell while in search of lifting buddies. The owner, Ted, has a profound belief in aiding anyone that walks through the door to attain self-mastery, by discovering themselves in the iron paradise. Truly, it's a remarkable establishment. Each person receives personalized attention, following a tailored path towards their unique objectives.

To put it simply, this gym is far from your typical fitness center. It serves as a hub for acquiring both physical and mental well-being. I am thrilled that they have opened their doors to the general public, allowing regular folks like myself to reap the benefits of their extensive expertise. There is a wealth of knowledge to absorb, and all you need to do is show up!

Mary Barnes (5/3/25, 4:30 PM):
The best kept secret, I tell ya! Honestly, I was a bit hesitant about sharin' about 'em because they're just so bloomin' great!

Initially, I popped by to support a mate, but what I've gotten out of it is somethin' more. I'm one of those yo-yo diet and workout enthusiasts. I'm either goin' all in or loungin' on the sofa. I've tried me fair share of workout classes, HIIT, crossfit, runnin' 25-30 miles a week, and even liftin' weights on me own (six days a week, four hours at a pop). But I have to admit, I'm probably in the best shape of me life without havin' to exhaust meself at the gym. And when I say exhaust, I mean wastin' a load of time on me fitness routine. I swing by 'ere thrice a week for 'bout an hour and a half each time. Totally doable!

Let me start by sayin', I ain't a mornin' person. At the start, I was a bit reserved, which ain't really me style, but when you're risin' at 4:30 am to get to the gym by 5:30 am, chances are you ain't overly thrilled to be awake, let alone headin' to work out. Nonetheless, the folks in the class with me were right there with their support and encouragement. I felt like I was miles behind 'em, but they were cheerin' me on, somethin' I ain't too good at doin' for meself. The sense of community is top-notch! They inspire and push you to work harder, but you gotta be willin' to open up to the idea of community.

In all me years of trainin', there ain't been a place where you can find as much one-on-one trainin' and support. They're keepin' an eye on ya, makin' sure your form's spot on, givin' corrections, and ensurin' you're focused and in the zone.

They'll change your life, not just physically but mentally too. You just gotta be open to the idea of becomin' your best self!

Cheers to Jenn, Ted, and Andrea - I ain't too sure where me end game is, but you lot definitely keep me pushin' for more.
Helen King (4/27/25, 1:36 PM):
They 'elped me sort out my back pain.
Diane Perry (4/13/25, 8:20 AM):
I initially found my way to Diablo Barbell because I was struggling to walk without a cane. Upon consultation with Dr. Vitz, she recommended that I participate in a rehab class at Diablo. It took me 3 months to no longer need the cane, and an additional 3 months to completely wean off the pain medication I had been relying on. I am now embarking on a strength class and following a new food program. I am determined to become the best version of myself with the guidance of Coach Ted, Dr. Vitz, and the supportive Diablo community.
Christine Flores (4/5/25, 3:40 AM):
I absolutely adore this establishment. I shall never exercise at any other fitness center.
Ruth Ramirez (4/4/25, 8:45 PM):
This gym is absolutely brilliant. Their back class is incredibly beneficial, and my one-on-one session with Dr. Andrea was just what I required. I admire Ted and Andrea's dedication to overall mind and body wellness, and I feel blessed to have the chance to collaborate with them.
Brian Martinez (4/4/25, 6:13 PM):
I came here in the hopes of finding relief for the discomfort in my lower back resulting from work-related injuries. Over the past decade, I've been lifting weights intermittently at various gyms such as 24 Hour Fitness, Crunch, CrossFit, and Fitness 19, making decent progress in my fitness journey. However, it wasn't until I started training with Ted, Andrea, Jenn, and Jeff that I truly began to see remarkable improvements. Within a span of 6-8 weeks, I was able to make a significant leap from struggling to squat 225 lbs to achieving a personal record of 305 lbs. What's even better is that I learned how to lift properly, with correct form, all without experiencing any pain. I also picked up the right technique for bench pressing and found myself effortlessly handling weights that had previously been challenging for me. Their exceptional program incorporates powerlifting and intense conditioning to help you achieve optimal overall fitness. I am extremely grateful for this gym, and they have definitely gained a lifelong member in me! If you're curious, come by and experience it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
Donna Morris (4/4/25, 12:41 PM):
I was referred to Diablo Barbell by Dr. Andrea Vitz, whose chiropractic office is next door. After Andrea relieved my pain, she recommended this place for rehabilitation and strength training, to prevent future discomfort. Six months later, I am feeling stronger and healthier than ever before. Whether you aim to build strength, shed weight, address back problems, or simply enhance your overall well-being, this is the spot where they will attentively hear you out and assist you in reaching your objectives, and more...
Joan Clark (3/23/25, 7:02 AM):
What a smashing fitness and lifestyle experience! The coaches and ownership here are absolutely top-notch and ever so helpful. I usually feel a bit intimidated by gyms and can sometimes feel a tad insecure, but this place is like no other I've encountered in the various states I've resided in. Right from day one, the coaches and fellow patrons were incredibly friendly and welcoming. In my first two months, I've seen a bloomin' tremendous amount of progress. They even take the time to sit down with you one on one to chat about your goals, and then tailor your workouts and routines to suit you. I'd recommend Diablo to anyone, no matter their fitness level. I probably started off in the lower half myself, and I'm still seeing jolly good results. It's a splendid community all around! Cheers!
