Accessibility Features
The wheelchair-accessible entrance makes this location welcoming for members with mobility challenges. Additionally, the wheelchair-accessible car park ensures easy access to the gym, allowing all members to enjoy their fitness journey without barriers.
Service Options and On-Site Services
Members at Planet Fitness enjoy various service options. The gym offers basic workout facilities perfect for cardio and strength training. However, some users have highlighted that the equipment often experiences maintenance issues. Many treadmills are inaccurate, leading to frustration during workouts.
Despite equipment challenges, on-site services include hydro massage chairs and tanning beds for Black Card members. Showers are available, but cleanliness has been a concern. Reports indicate issues such as a lack of hot water and insufficient cleaning supplies at shower stations.
The Atmosphere
The overall atmosphere of the Denver Planet Fitness can enhance the workout experience. While many members appreciate the friendly staff and clean environment, others have pointed out overcrowding during peak hours, particularly from late afternoon to evening. This can lead to long waits for equipment, diminishing the workout experience.
Membership Experience
A membership required to access the gym, which can be frustrating for some potential users. The cancellation process has received multiple complaints about its complexity, which raises concerns about customer service. However, many members still find value in the affordable pricing and access to numerous amenities.
Final Thoughts
While there are notable concerns regarding equipment maintenance and customer service, the Planet Fitness in Denver provides an inclusive and accessible option for fitness seekers. With ongoing improvements and attention to member feedback, this facility has the potential to elevate the fitness experience for everyone.

The staff at PF on 48th & Chambers is absolutely top-notch, I must say! However, it seems that the ownership is rather lacking, if you catch my drift. The staff really goes above and beyond to make do with what they've got, and believe me, that ain't much when you've got broken or out-of-service equipment. But when it comes to ownership, well, let's just say they seem to take their sweet time when it comes to fixing things like equipment, toilets, and even hot water problems. Quite the pickle, indeed!

NO SOAP allowed in the showers!!!
The hydro massage recliners were both out of order.

The main reason why I joined this gym was because it was 24/7. However, over time, the hours have changed and it keeps getting worse. Today was the final straw for me. I arrived at 6:00 am (opening time) only to find the doors were closed. I waited for almost an hour and no one ever showed up. Additionally, equipment takes forever to get fixed. #fellowpaisanmakingprogress

The gym itself is all right. I've noticed that the gym has periods when there are hardly any members, then suddenly it gets swarmed with people. During these busy times, you have to be flexible with your workout because there aren't enough machines available, and some people aren't very considerate about sharing equipment. Often, I've encountered individuals who hog a machine for over 20 minutes without actually working out and refuse to move, even in areas where it's clearly stated that you should share.
Planet Fitness has also tacked on a bunch of extra fees for me personally. It's not just the $10 a month hassle-free deal. I had to pay an additional fee when signing up, then a few months later, I was hit with another $35 charge. When I canceled my membership, I was still charged for an extra month that they wouldn't refund or make any exceptions for, even though it wasn't part of the contract. Despite being charged for that extra month, I wasn't allowed to use the gym during that time. It seems like they're not too bothered about sticking to their own rules because, even if someone complains, no one is likely to take legal action over less than $100. (This is the third Planet Fitness branch I've been a member of, and I didn't encounter this issue with the others, so I'm not sure if it's a new policy or just specific to this location.)
I thought this gym would be convenient due to its proximity to Highway 70, but it ended up causing me more traffic headaches because of its closeness to the airport.
Save yourself the trouble and search for a community center-style gym nearby. The cost should be around $10 a month, and you won't have to deal with all the hassle that comes with gyms like this.

I typically do not leave negative reviews, however, my experience on Monday night/Tuesday morning was less than satisfactory. The gym was quite warm and muggy, and despite my request to a male staff member to adjust the temperature, he informed me that he was unable to do so. The equipment appeared worn out and the facility was in need of a thorough cleaning.
Johnny Perez (6/2/25, 10:55 AM):
The initial feedback regarding operating hours likely occurred during the club's launch phase as it had recently opened its doors. To clarify any confusion, this establishment operates 24/7. The staff are welcoming, and the equipment is diligently maintained. There is an abundance of cardio and weight machines available. While the free weights area may be somewhat limited, it is present. I would categorize this gym as a maintenance facility. If your goal is to sustain a good physique, this gym is for you. Alternatively, if you seek amenities like cross-fit, swimming pool, or various courts such as basketball, tennis, or racquetball, you may wish to explore other options. Think of it as a basic recreation center minus the children, pool, or set closing times. At $10 per month, I am not left feeling dissatisfied. It fulfills its purpose admirably.

Sara Rivera (5/31/25, 1:49 PM):
Best of luck finding a piece of weightlifting gear available from 4pm to 10pm because this spot is buzzing! Loads of cliques of youngsters holding onto equipment for ages, several just chilling out instead of working out.
The remaining bunch comprises of gym enthusiasts and Instagram influencers flaunting very little clothing.
The gym employees were amicable and the gym was fairly tidy given the volume of people using it all day long.
Samantha Gomez (5/29/25, 1:04 AM):
A star for the staff, top-notch they are. Nevertheless, the selection of free weights is rather scarce. The setup lacks the charm found in other PF locations. The odor inside is quite peculiar. Also, the parking area can be rather unnerving. I've been approached by at least three individuals requesting money as I entered.
Edward Morris (5/28/25, 4:52 PM):
Denver CO Planet Fitness is absolutely brilliant! Leslie was so helpful. Thank you Leslie ☺ Everything is in tip-top shape and super tidy. The staff is incredibly friendly.
Joe Miller (5/26/25, 10:53 AM):
I've got meself the black card membership since I'm always gallivanting all around Denver, so I can avail of any of their sites.
I signed up for the hydro massage loungers, there be two of each of three different types. I be feeling a lot of stress right now, and the massage tables completely sort me out. Ye have to make a reservation on site for a massage lounger, and then the staff tells ye where ye be assigned. I can verily say I've never had to wait in line for a massage. I have me two favorite sites, which be the one on Colorado Boulevard and the one in Loveland because their massage loungers be in an area with really cool music that helps ye relax.
I also use the shower facilities, and they be grand. I've never had to wait in line for a shower neither. In fact, there be rarely another person or two in the shower area, but sometimes there be.
They have power drinks, water, etc. for sale at each site, and some be intentionally kept at a low price for us members.
I got me teenage daughters memberships before they flew the nest. We had a grand time.
I can actually bring a guest with me black card membership. They can use any of the facility except for the massage. I like bringing a mate every now and then, it's a laugh. Pretty sure that includes tanning, they can tan if they fancy.
Jack Taylor (5/25/25, 7:20 PM):
I've been frequenting this place for some time now. The manager is absolutely lovely and treats everyone with respect. The staff is top-notch professional. I don't have to deal with any blaring sirens or strange odors like at other gyms. I visit the gym on a weekly basis and I am thoroughly pleased with the value for my money.
Sandra Jordan (5/25/25, 5:07 PM):
The Planet Fitness located on Chambers is absolutely smashing; the chaps on staff are quite friendly, and the gym is always spick and span. They've got a jolly good selection of machines available for use as well. Cheers!
Sharon Morris (5/25/25, 12:13 PM):
Tidy and peaceful. My hubby and I visit in the evening.
Martha Robinson (5/23/25, 1:29 PM):
I rang up and Kimberly really went the extra mile to assist me! So thankful for this spot!
Sophia Hughes (5/20/25, 11:01 AM):
This is the first time I've ever been disappointed in a PF. They have a great selection of equipment, but as others have pointed out, some of it is quite worn out. The men's room was a mess at 5 pm on a Wednesday. There were no benches and only one hook in the changing stalls, so your belongings end up on the floor. Disgusting. The shower I used didn't have the parts to hold the shower head on the wall, making it awkward, and water leaked onto the floor. Also disgusting. The showers had rust and soap scum, indicating a lack of equipment maintenance. Management needs to step up their game and improve the situation. Time to hit the stairmaster and elevate your standards!
Catherine Brown (5/19/25, 9:44 PM):
All is always tidy and the machines are always in proper working order. Thank you!
Jack Jordan (5/18/25, 11:56 PM):
A bloody fantastic spot for a workout, I must say! The equipment is always maintained well and the gym is regularly spick and span. The chaps running the place are ever so pleasant, friendly, and willing to lend a hand!
Carol Ward (5/17/25, 4:38 PM):
I go to the gym early in the mornings. Everyone is cool, I just workout pumped up on pre-workout and do my thing.
