Gus makes sure the gym is spick and span, and the equipment is regularly looked after and swapped out if necessary. The team is super friendly and polite. With the wide selection and array of equipment on hand, I can always switch up my routine and keep my body on its toes.

I absolutely adore the chaps, the folks, and the connections I've forged during my time at Retro Fitness. In my humble opinion, it's the premier Fitness Center in the region. Everyone is greeted warmly, and there's no hint of judgment; from the newbies to the pros to the heavy lifters, everyone is pursuing their personal goals and striving to reach them while enjoying a jolly good time. Retro is a place where we seek refuge from the outside world; it has become a second abode and a sanctuary for many. If you haven't popped in yet, you owe it to yourself to give it a whirl. You won't regret it, and you'll be thrilled with the results.

The gym be a right tidy place, with a load of top-notch gear and staff that be friendly and on the ball.
Diana Graham (4/1/25, 8:26 AM):
Absolutely smashing gym, top-notch vibes all around, loads of equipment, protein shakes galore, and the staff, particularly Rich, are pure gems, always going the extra mile to ensure you're feeling right as rain. Cheers to a cracking gym experience!

I initially put a freeze on my membership due to health reasons. However, they kept charging me, and charging me, and... charging me. So, I went ahead and fully canceled with proper paperwork. Yet, they still managed to charge my card (somehow even after I had my credit card company block them, and I'm now getting a new card). Hope they enjoyed that last $32 in retro. Was it really worth losing a customer of several years? I have a feeling they won't last long running their establishment like that. Here's to the latest chargeback from my credit card company and retro essentially taking back my $32 in a desperate move. I guess they must really need it, but I highly doubt it's going towards fixing the AC since it's over 80 degrees in there. Wishing them the best. Peace out. ✌️

The reason for my 1 star review is that the representative who purportedly cancelled my gym membership did not properly terminate my agreement. Despite signing a cancellation agreement in person and explicitly asking if there was anything else I needed to do, I was assured that no further action was required and that I would no longer be charged. However, upon reviewing my bank statement, I discovered that I was still being billed. The manager informed me that the representative failed to close out my membership as required. As a result, there was no record of my cancellation and I was unable to get reimbursed for the charge due to poor service. While my membership has now been cancelled, the negligence of the representative remains a major issue.

I was in the gym the other day and I overheard the owner refer to the kind front desk lady as a w***e. This is totally unacceptable behavior at work or in general, he ought to be truly ashamed of himself! I would never suggest this gym to anyone, ever!
Jose Barnes (3/30/25, 10:59 PM):
I absolutely adore this gym! It's my top spot for working out, I always feel totally at ease and it has such a fantastic atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly, the shakes are the best compared to other gyms. It's larger than I anticipated once I had a good look around. It boasts the finest equipment, making it a breeze for first-time users. I absolutely LOVE EHT RETRO!!
Angela Clark (3/29/25, 6:18 PM):
The staff were jolly good and the gym is in decent shape. The loos and locker rooms were well-kept. Overall, the facility is quite alright.
The reason for the two-star rating was the poor interaction from management. My tale revolves around finances. I moved to the area in September, planning to stay for one school year, and already had a membership with Retro Fitness. Since Retro's renewal period aligns with the new year, I decided to cancel my membership in December as I would be relocating out of the area in May and wouldn't require the membership at my next destination. Jumping ahead to April, I received a letter from collections stating that I owed three months' worth of fees to Retro Fitness. Confused, I phoned Retro Fitness to try and resolve the issue. When speaking with the manager, he was quite dismissive. There was no back-and-forth conversation, and I felt I was treated unfairly.
I resolved the matter by paying collections and ensuring that my membership was indeed cancelled this time. It's a shame that a company I've been a member of on and off since 2009 wouldn't listen to its members' concerns, especially when the issue stemmed from a simple staff error.

Retro gym always makes everyone who walks through the doors feel right at home. I'm thrilled to be a member of my go-to spot.
Alice Perez (3/29/25, 11:42 AM):
Absolutely adore this place.. When I first signed up, I weighed 387 lbs, shot up to 399 lbs, and now I'm at 258 lbs, and the staff were just as supportive throughout. Such a warm, family-focused establishment. They're so positive and passionate. They'll guide you on how to use the equipment and introduce you to new gear that suits you. The owners are approachable and down-to-earth, working alongside the staff. The atmosphere is top-notch, even if you're significantly overweight. This gym surpasses any others.. And for the price (19.99, 21.43 with tax) it's an unbeatable deal! 😂😂 #RetroFitness
Henry King (3/29/25, 7:10 AM):
Not merely one of the finest retro gyms I've visited, but I dare say, one of the finest in general. The plethora and exceptional quality of equipment truly set it apart from other gyms. The staff is incredibly welcoming. The equipment is routinely maintained, and any issues are promptly addressed. The gym is impeccably clean. I wholeheartedly endorse this gym to locals and even those willing to venture a bit further for an outstanding workout experience!
David Henderson (3/29/25, 12:53 AM):
This gym 'as been the most dreadful gym I 'ave ever encountered. Countless times they 'ave charged me double each month and still claim that I 'aven't settled me balance, even after I showed evidence that I did. They seem to conjure up all these additional fees out of thin air. When you believe you're payin' 20 dollars a month for membership, it turns out to be 60 plus all these extra fees that can add up to 80 dollars. The most wretched gym in EHT, and I highly suggest seekin' other options.
Jordan Coleman (3/28/25, 5:54 PM):
If I could bestow upon this establishment zero stars, I surely would. It's quite maddening that while all the other Retro Fitness locations honor Silver Sneakers, this one does not. A rather unjust situation, if you ask me! I'll be heading over to Planet Fitness henceforth! 😡😡😡 ...
Danielle Perry (3/28/25, 3:16 AM):
They've got gear to work every muscle in your body, mate. And to top it off, they've got extra rooms - a dim room, a private room for the ladies, a private room for the gents, and spotless loo every time I pop in. The equipment's mint clean and they even boast a Smoothie Bar. I'd highly recommend anyone to give Retro Fitness a go. Cheers!
Jonathan Lee (3/28/25, 2:57 AM):
Retro fitness in EHT be a jolly good gym, mate! The staff be top-notch and the equipment be spot on. I've been frequenting this spot since it first opened, and even though I've ventured off elsewhere, I still make me way back when I'm in the area for a proper workout. Cheers to Retro fitness for keepin' me in shipshape form!
Michelle Hayes (3/27/25, 8:24 AM):
Brilliant gym, brilliant prices, brilliant staff make you feel welcome every time never feel intimidated everything about this gym outshines every other gym around you provide all the essentials you require
Bobby Fisher (3/27/25, 3:14 AM):
Gus is the best, I tell ya! Fantastic prices and a family-friendly atmosphere, you can't go wrong.
Aaron Williams (3/26/25, 10:05 PM):
This gym 'as been the worst gym I 'ave ever experienced, multiple times they 'ave charged me double each month and still say that I 'aven't paid my balance after I showed proof that I did. They pull all of these extra fees out of 'at, when you think you are paying 20 dollars a month for a memebership, it is really 60 plus all of these fees that can be up to 80 dollars. The worst gym 'ere in EHT and I strongly recommend finding other options.
Alan Evans (3/26/25, 4:52 PM):
Retro has a brilliant vibe, no matter your fitness aims. Whether it's bulking up, shedding pounds, CrossFit, athletic conditioning, or any of the fantastic classes on offer, you'll encounter Gus at the front desk and the personal trainers to be extremely amiable and ever eager to assist.
