The gym itself is top of the line, always impeccably clean, well-maintained, and equipped with superb gear. The members are generally courteous and mindful of gym etiquette, despite looking quite intimidating as some of the most jacked individuals on the planet. But fear not, they are actually friendly!

My mate and I grabbed a day pass and checked out both the Alexandria and Rockville spots. We were well impressed with the gear selection. The folks in charge are really making a statement by stocking up on top-notch equipment that just makes sense. At DMV Iron, you won't find rows of low-grade gear that doesn't fit right and is just off. Every little thing to up the experience was thought through. Everyone I bumped into from one of my old gyms says they should've hopped on board ages ago. If you enjoy going hard and want to use top-tier weight training equipment with like-minded folks in a "conducive" environment, this gym is your spot. If fitness classes, a row of seated ab twists, and a juice bar are more your speed, this might not be the place for you. Not signing up wasn't even an option for us, and we joined after our day pass expired. I ditched my other gym membership and have been crushing it ever since. Rockville is my go-to spot, plenty of free parking and roomy. Signing up is a breeze and there aren't hordes of salespeople trying to sway you. Can't recommend this gym enough. They truly have everything you need to do it right!

This gym is absolutely spot on if you're even slightly serious about fitness. The range of equipment is mind-blowing and everything is kept in top condition. The staff do a great job at keeping the workout areas tidy and clean. The regulars are mostly respectful and friendly towards each other. The membership may be a bit pricey for some, but in my opinion, it's worth every cent when compared to a budget commercial gym!

This gym is absolutely amazing, easily one of the best in Maryland alongside Exile in Baltimore (Rosedale) and a top Gym in the U.S. overall. Not only does it boast top-of-the-line new Atlantis/Prime equipment, but it also houses a collection of extremely rare pieces that are difficult to come by, even on the second-hand market. The MedX Avenger Leg Press is often hailed as the best Quad machine ever created, and the Flex Leverage Flat/Incline Presses are widely regarded as the best chest presses ever designed and manufactured. All of these pieces are in pristine condition, which is truly impressive.
Furthermore, they have the Flex-Seated Hamstring Curl, which, in my experience, is by far the best I have ever used, surpassing even the offerings from Atlantis and Prime, who have had 30 years to perfect their designs. Additionally, the gym features a range of standard hardcore equipment from brands like Cybex, Nautilus, and Hammer Strength, among others. The fusion of new and classic pieces in the gym's layout is executed elegantly.
The cleanliness and maintenance of the gym are exceptional, with multiple contractors onsite for upkeep and upgrades just a day after Thanksgiving during my brief visit. The staff at the front desk were polite and professional, and the members were clearly experienced gym-goers.
My partner and I were fortunate enough to work out here together, and if we lived in the area, we would join without hesitation. It's disappointing that more gyms in the U.S. don't strive to cater to the needs of fitness enthusiasts like DMV Iron (and Exile) does. A solid 10/10 rating from me.
