Having glanced through some other feedback, it dawned on me that I was not the only one with a similar encounter involving Warren. On just my second day of being a member, following a workout session, I opted to try out the steam room for the first time. While relaxing there, the manager, Warren, abruptly swung open the door and instructed everyone to "knock it off." Perplexed, I promptly inquired about the issue at hand. He gazed directly at me, pointed, and remarked, "You know what I'm talking about." The entire exchange left me feeling incredibly uneasy.
I wish to clarify that I am heterosexual and fully appreciate and applaud the management for addressing inappropriate conduct in the gym. However, the manner in which Warren handled the situation was lacking. Roughly five minutes later, I located Warren in the locker room and confronted him, questioning why he felt the need to 1) disrupt the steam room and raise his voice, and 2) wrongfully accuse me of something I did not do. His apology was hardly convincing, yet he extended a handshake nonetheless.
My suggestion to Warren is to utilize a more composed approach when dealing with such matters. Instead of hurling accusations and ultimatums, he should opt for a more serene method that respects the individuals who genuinely intend to utilize the amenities they are paying for. This incident was certainly not the type of experience I envisioned for a $50 monthly gym membership. I would dissuade others from enrolling here unless they are content with insincere pleasantries from Warren, at best.

I'm in town for a month. The gym is tidy and not overly crowded, but at $50 a month, it's just not cutting it.
Edward Nelson (6/12/25, 10:56 AM):
This gym is top-notch for getting in a great workout. The facilities are always spotless, although it would be even better if visitors could remember to toss their q-tip swabs after taking care of their ears! Let's maintain those classy vibes, folks.
Kimberly Davis (6/10/25, 4:33 AM):
I absolutely adore the team and the amenities at this gym, but I must say, the manager can be quite a handful.
Doris Jordan (6/5/25, 11:12 AM):
I absolutely adore the gym, and the team there is just amazing. However, I do find it a tad frustrating at times. Given that I can only make it in late at night, it's a bit annoying to see the sauna and/or steam room closed off 30 minutes to an hour before the official closing time. Just the other week, they had run out of towels by 10 pm when the gym doesn't shut till 11. I get that it's nearing closing time, but for those of us who can only squeeze in a workout from 9 onwards, it can be a bit of a letdown. All I want is to make full use of the facilities I'm paying for, especially if it's within the hours posted online.
Joshua Collins (6/4/25, 5:43 AM):
I used to be a regular at this gym, but I had to take a break due to mental health issues. I recently decided to start going regularly again and was actually looking forward to it!
However, there have been some staff changes since I last visited a couple of years ago, and my recent experience was extremely uncomfortable...
The guy at the front desk wouldn't really talk to me when I asked about the towel service or if there were any changes in the rules. He just looked at me silently, and when I inquired about which kiosk to scan at, he simply gestured and rolled his eyes. He seemed too busy folding towels and doing other tasks to give me any attention.
Then, a bigger, more muscular guy who seemed like a regular walked in behind me, and suddenly the man behind the counter became all friendly, loudly welcoming him to the gym.
I'm petite, and that's just how I am. But whether it was intentional or not, making me feel like I didn't belong really hit my self-esteem hard. It made me so uncomfortable that I haven't been back since because I don't feel welcomed.
Even after the awkward encounter at the check-in counter, he kept giving me dirty looks as he passed by. And when I went to the locker room to change, he followed me in for no apparent reason. I ended up not changing, grabbed my stuff, and left. Usually, I'd shower before leaving to avoid sweating in my car, but I didn't want to ask him for a towel and face that discomfort again.
As I was leaving, I heard him wish a good day to four people who walked out before me. But when I left, he just stared at me and gave me a once-over.
It felt like I was back in middle school gym class. Now, I don't even want to consider trying another gym after spending years building my body confidence again.
I'd give it 2 stars. Despite the above situation, the gym itself is always impeccably clean, smells sanitary, and the machines are always in good condition. They truly excel in maintaining cleanliness, which is why I usually love this location.
In conclusion,
I'd suggest going to the Quarry location where at least the people won't make you feel inferior.

I would like to inform the manager of a persisting issue regarding the buildup of bubble gum in one of the showers, which has been ongoing for three weeks. Upon showing him a photo as evidence, rather than expressing gratitude for bringing this matter to his attention, he chose to engage in a debate about the duration the gum had been there (completely missing the main point) and appeared confrontational. There was a moment where I even entertained the thought that the GM might become physically aggressive? Quite astounding! As he dared me to share the picture I presented, I will oblige him with that request! #unpleasantencounter
I am puzzled by the numerous 4-5 star reviews this gym has received. Could it be that some reviewers have not visited updated gyms in various locations or cities? I extend an invitation to any of those awarding a 5-star rating to meet me one evening for a walkthrough together! Perhaps you may have overlooked the hole near the rear dumbbells that has been marked with orange tape for an indeterminate period? The gym equipment is outdated, the locker rooms are poorly maintained by the staff, and the overall condition is quite rundown. The spin bikes are in poor condition! When inquiring about their maintenance or replacement, I was informed that the general maintenance personnel would "look into it", implying no action will be taken. I seek a superior experience for the value of my money, but sadly, this establishment may be the best option available.
Justin Jordan (6/1/25, 7:25 PM):
One of the top gym experiences in the city, all for just under $60 a month. The gym is always sparkling clean and fully equipped. Occasionally, they fall short on the towel service (they might consider hiring some extra laundry staff), but generally speaking, it's a pretty decent experience. The variety of more affordable alternatives in the area also helps in keeping the crowds under control. The indoor pool is well-maintained as well.
Jack Sanchez (5/29/25, 12:05 AM):
If you're looking to hire a personal trainer, this is the place to be. They're highly knowledgeable and constantly striving to improve. Felice, one of the managers, is incredibly helpful. Even if you're not in the market for a personal trainer, the gym is consistently spotless. I feel secure when working out here. The classes they offer are enjoyable and diverse. I've been a member for more than a year and have no intentions of leaving!
Matthew Wilson (5/28/25, 2:44 PM):
This gym is quite unique in offering an open pool for water aerobics. The camaraderie among the class members is truly remarkable, fostering the development of many friendships. Our instructors demonstrate a genuine concern for our well-being, not only in guiding our movements but also in their personal care for us as individuals.
Michelle Carter (5/28/25, 2:30 PM):
I've been frequenting this gym for approximately 6 months now. Upon signing up, I was informed that towel service was part of the membership package. My membership is directly linked to my Medicare insurance. However, during my recent visit, I was advised that I would need to shell out an extra $10 per month for access to towels. The manager, Warren, handled the situation in a very unprofessional manner and even seemed confrontational. This experience has left me quite disappointed with the customer service provided at this establishment.
Steven Ortiz (5/23/25, 11:14 AM):
Overall, everything was top-notch, but I must say that the pool water was dreadfully chilly — practically unusable! It seemed a tad extreme and certainly put a damper on the overall experience.
Hannah Cooper (5/22/25, 8:19 AM):
I must say, this gym has really won me over again! I used to be a regular here a few years ago, but had to stop due to some inappropriate behavior by other members in the locker room, sauna, and steam room. However, they have really stepped up their game in cracking down on these issues, and I am extremely grateful for it! It was a tough situation when I used to bring my son, who was a minor at the time, and had to explain to him why he couldn't be in the locker rooms alone because of the inappropriate behavior occurring there. The amenities like the sauna and steam room are fantastic, but it was difficult to enjoy them when some individuals couldn't behave properly.
I believe everyone is entitled to their own preferences and attractions, but that should not infringe upon the comfort and safety of others, especially minors. The fact that the management is taking action against such indecent behavior speaks volumes, and I truly commend them for it. It's evident that they are dedicated to creating a safe and respectful environment for all members.
As for the constant editing of posts on this platform, it does raise some questions about the authenticity and integrity of the content. It seems like there may be some underlying issues that need to be addressed. However, I must give credit where it's due, and if the manager is indeed addressing the long-standing issue of inappropriate behavior, then he certainly deserves recognition and support from the higher-ups.
Mr. Warren, kudos to you for doing what is right and standing up against indecency. Keep up the good work!
Ella Jenkins (5/20/25, 10:58 AM):
I absolutely adore this place! I've been attending for nearly 6 months now, and while I occasionally yearn for a bit more variety in the equipment, the staff create such a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. I have yet to enter without being met with a smile or some encouraging words! I am truly delighted to have discovered this gem of a gym!
Carl Martin (5/19/25, 6:55 PM):
You'd be hard-pressed to find a more competitive offer than the one at our gym, boasting a 4-lane pool open for lap swimming a whopping 16 hours on weekdays. Warren truly shines in his role as General Manager, delivering top-notch service.
Gregory Bailey (5/17/25, 7:13 AM):
This gym is absolutely marvelous. The facilities are top-notch and there's a fantastic array of amenities available. I must say, the variety of machines here is simply splendid. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I must mention that the quad machine in this establishment is particularly delightful and happens to be one of my preferred choices. It's quite rare to stumble upon one of these beauties - I've only encountered two in my lifetime, and this gem happens to be one of them.
Evelyn Taylor (5/16/25, 3:46 PM):
I really enjoy my visits to the gym. Warren, the general manager, is incredibly welcoming and always willing to address any concerns or issues I may have. Recently, I came across a post suggesting that he may be discriminatory or biased against gay individuals, but I can confidently say that this couldn't be further from the truth. Warren is not that kind of person. I feel compelled to set the record straight after seeing that review.
I have never witnessed Warren treating anyone differently based on their sexual orientation. While there have been some incidents of inappropriate behavior in the locker rooms, if Warren addressed it, it was undoubtedly justified. He is passionate about his job and dedicated to creating a comfortable environment at the gym for everyone.
I firmly believe that Warren does not discriminate against anyone. If someone was called out, it was because they were breaking the rules and making others uncomfortable. Warren's priority is to ensure that all members feel at ease and welcome in the gym. In my opinion, he is a fantastic guy.
I sincerely hope that the higher-ups in management recognize Warren for the exceptional job he does and the valuable asset he is to the company. As long as Warren is in charge, this gym will remain my go-to place, and many other members share the same sentiment.
Frank Rivera (5/13/25, 1:47 PM):
I've visited 3 gyms so far, and even though this one is the smallest, the staff here are the friendliest and most welcoming. Plus, they offer the best selection of energy drinks to keep you going!
Beverly Collins (5/12/25, 5:21 AM):
As a former 415-pounder who used to feel extremely self-conscious, I must say that I never once felt judged during my time at this gym. The staff has been incredibly kind, helpful, and always with a great attitude. Being my first gym experience, I am truly delighted and don't even mind the 30-mile journey to get here. If you're seeking a great place to kickstart your fitness journey, I can't recommend this gym enough!
Barbara Reed (5/10/25, 12:23 PM):
Folks who are leaving them negative reviews seem to be all worked up about the payment process, but speaking from personal experience, I was given a thorough explanation by the GM during my orientation. Cancelling your membership requires a bit of forethought - you need to notify them before the 25th of the month preceding the one you wish to end your membership in (for instance, if I want to cancel by the end of March, I must notify them by Feb 25th for a timely cancellation).
This gym is top-notch. It's got a full spread of machines and weights catering to all types of workouts. I was considering Planet Fitness before, but they lack free weights. Here, you'll find EVERYTHING, plus a sauna! Even during peak hours, I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to access the equipment needed for specific muscle groups.
Furthermore, the gym provides complimentary towels, lockers (just bring your own lock, as is standard), showers, and even free razors!
I reckon those dissatisfied reviewers might have skipped over some important contract details, setting unrealistic expectations.
For the price you pay, this gym is an absolute steal. I wholeheartedly endorse it!
