GB South Boise is a brilliant spot to pick up jiu jitsu! My youngsters and I have initiated our jiu jitsu voyage there. From me at 37 to my 6-year-old, we have all experienced significant growth since embarking on this journey. Mike, Jason, and Eric are exceptional instructors and infuse enthusiasm into jiu jitsu for all. It has positively impacted various facets of our lives, and I have shed around 45 pounds since commencing.

I am a brown belt visiting from out of town, I've been to many BJJ gyms over the years. This was one of the most welcoming environments I've experienced. A warm welcome and a focus on everyone's safety. The classes are well organized with a strong curriculum. I will definitely be returning.

This dojo is absolutely brilliant for the little ones. The BJJ instructors are top-notch and ensure there's just enough discipline so they're learning, but also keeping it really enjoyable. It's a fantastic social and confidence-building experience for them. This program not only helps to toughen them up, but also ensures they understand control. The instructors are completely on point at all times, providing each child with individual attention and creating a wonderful environment for them to learn and develop. Their Muay Thai classes are also excellent, and the instructor is fantastic with kids.
I wholeheartedly recommend this place, and we'll definitely be members here for life. We commute to get here, but it's absolutely worth every mile.

Gracie Barra South has been absolutely fantastic for my lad. He's a bit shy and tends to be a bit hesitant when trying new things, so I was quite surprised when he expressed interest in starting Jiu-Jitsu. We decided to give it a go with the trial, and both the staff and the other students made him feel right at home. The coaches are brilliant with the young ones and really take the time to not only nurture his Jiu-Jitsu skills on the mat, but also instill important life skills like problem-solving, conflict resolution, respect, leadership, determination, resilience, and confidence. I can see my boy starting to believe in himself more, and it's truly heartwarming. Coach Mike is truly dedicated to ensuring my son has a positive experience and grows both personally and in his practice. Mike even reached out to me to have a chat about how he could better support my son because he genuinely cares. I was deeply touched by that gesture, but that's just the norm at Gracie Barra South. Mike also sought feedback on how they could improve our experience, listened attentively, and actually implemented the suggestions. It's truly exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend giving them a look!
