I can't emphasize enough how fantastic The Pound is. My daughter has been a member for 4 years now, and she absolutely adores learning karate. What sets this place apart is that it's about much more than simply mastering karate techniques. The owners and staff are committed to the overall growth of children. The benefits are countless - increased self-confidence, integrity, focus, kindness, and responsibility, just to name a few. There's so much to appreciate about this place, it's truly a gem and definitely worth the investment.

My wee lad, who is 4 years old, has greatly enjoyed his time at this martial arts school. The classes are well-structured and enjoyable. In our first 6 weeks, he was given a bit of "homework" - to tidy his room, and he was never more thrilled about it!
Kyle Cooper (5/1/25, 10:16 PM):

Victoria Sanders (4/30/25, 5:52 PM):
My grandson attended that martial arts school and I must say, they are top-notch! Pat and Krystine are exceptional instructors. The team is absolutely fantastic, winning more trophies than they can even carry. Keep up the great work, team!
Jack Sanchez (4/30/25, 3:44 AM):
James has been a member of the Pound family for a few years now and recently completed his journey to Junior black belt! But this doesn't mean his journey is over, as Krystine and Pat keep pushing him to learn and grow. Every day, I hear how polite and self-assured my son is, and how he's on track to become a great leader as he comes into his own. I can say with certainty that Pound has played a crucial role in helping him cultivate these skills.
Steven Phillips (4/29/25, 12:56 AM):
My dear daughter's confidence has truly blossomed over the past year. She has flourished tremendously during her time at the Pound! They have provided her with a sense of pride and helped her overcome her fears of new challenges. She adores achieving her stripes and eagerly anticipates belt testing. I am fond of the staff and the sense of family we experience there. They genuinely prioritize the well-being of the entire family, not just the student. Gratitude!
Deborah Kelly (4/23/25, 8:59 PM):
My young ones absolutely love the camaraderie and picking up self-defense skills. In particular, my son really appreciates their teaching method.
Sean Alexander (4/23/25, 8:40 PM):
This establishment is far beyond being just a martial arts gym. The manner in which they impart life skills to the youngsters was truly remarkable.

The coaching is friendly, not the typical yelling and shouting, but rather children acquiring tangible skills and enjoying themselves.

I wholeheartedly endorse it.
Logan James (4/23/25, 10:31 AM):
My lad 'as been trainin' at The Pound fer 9 months now, an' the confidence I see in 'im every day makes me grateful I enrolled 'im in karate. The apprentice instructors take their time with the young ones to 'elp 'em grasp the techniques so they can carry on gettin' better. Pat and Kystine are top-notch at teachin' both karate skills and life lessons. Thank ya kindly.
