I must say, this quaint little studio located opposite the Co-op is simply marvelous. It is operated by a delightful mother-daughter duo who are well-versed in their field and conduct enjoyable yet challenging classes. I have attended several sessions myself, and my wife has now become a regular attendee. The hour seems to fly by as we engage in functional movement exercises using a variety of weighted equipment (not your typical weightlifting/spinning/aerobics routine, if that's what you seek). Classes are offered every morning and evening, with a new yoga class available one night per week. I highly recommend giving it a try - it's truly worth your while!
The Personal trainers at MAD Fitness are absolutely brilliant, I must say. They possess an incredible amount of skills and knowledge, and their enthusiasm and encouragement are truly infectious! Exercising has become a joy with their guidance, as they offer invaluable feedback and cater to each individual's needs, especially in cases of injuries or limitations. It's evident that they genuinely care about our well-being.
The cozy atmosphere of this small gym fosters a sense of community that is unparalleled. Unlike larger gyms, here you truly feel connected to both the trainers and your fellow exercise companions. Even during these challenging times of the pandemic, with classes being conducted over Zoom, the camaraderie remains strong as we can all see each other on the screen and receive personalized feedback from the trainers.
I made a commitment to attend at least two classes per week around seven months ago, and more often than not, I find myself attending three. Just recently, as I swapped out my seasonal clothing, I was pleasantly surprised to find that clothes which were once too tight now fit perfectly. This newfound achievement has never happened to me before; typically, I've only seen my clothing sizes increase gradually, which could be quite disheartening. Now, not only have I shed some inches, but certain garments are actually too loose on me, prompting me to rename my storage box to "too big pants"!
This remarkable transformation is a testament to the positive impact that MAD Fitness classes have had on me. I've not only become physically stronger but also developed a newfound confidence in my appearance. Prior to this, I had steered clear of strength training exercises, feeling intimidated by weight machines and bored by free weights. However, with the guidance of Eve and Sue, I now incorporate these exercises into my routine comfortably. Despite the current limitations due to the pandemic, they have even provided dumbbells and cables for us to use at home.
Overall, I am delighted with the progress I've made and the newfound confidence I feel in my own skin. MAD Fitness has truly transformed not just my body but my mindset as well.
Well, when it comes to personal training, it's all about that 1-on-1 experience, you know? It's about really focusing on your goals and developing a sustainable approach to fitness and lifestyle that works for you. It's about tailoring your journey to fit your unique needs and desires.
I must say, MadFitness comes highly recommended. To begin with, Eve and Sue take the time to understand your fitness level, any injuries, goals, concerns, and more. Secondly, the classes are intimate and tailored for you to achieve what you put into them, with a bit of encouragement if necessary. And because Eve and Sue are familiar with your capabilities, they know just how far to push you. Thirdly, the workouts are diverse enough to prevent monotony. Lastly, the fellow class attendees are always pleasant and enjoyable to be around.
MadFitness has truly transformed my perspective on exercise. It's not solely about being the strongest person in the room. It's about functional strength and sustaining a healthy lifestyle amidst a hectic schedule. I can't recommend it enough!
Dr. Evil always leaves me feeling the burn. (The good kind that comes from a killer workout.)
This gym is absolutely brilliant, mate! Top-notch coaches and a wide range of classes on offer. None of those fancy-pantsy machines you might find at posh gyms, but all the real gear you need to smash your workout. If you're considering getting a personal trainer, this is the spot to be. They've got group sessions and one-on-one coaching available. I can't recommend it enough! Cheers!
I've always been a huge fan of MAD Fitness - Sue and Eve have built a fantastic community that empowers individuals to train at their own pace, and Mary Duke keeps pushing us with her innovative online sessions. I must mention some of their recent class inclusions. The early morning sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6am led by Kasia in the studio never fail to push me to my limits (in the best possible way). And for a change of pace, the Monday evening belly dance class with Rhia is an absolute hoot (no prior experience needed - I'm a testament to that :).
Not only are they a charming mother-daughter duo running a local business, but they're also highly proficient trainers. Their workouts are diverse and well-rounded, plus they offer great value for money.
I'm eagerly anticipating the return of the 6pm class – it's a highlight of my day!
Absolutely smashing workout, mate! These classes are a right good time and have you working up a proper sweat. The instructors really know their stuff and can tailor the workout to suit your needs. Would definitely recommend giving it a go! Cheers!
Reasonably priced sessions and incredibly helpful team.
Great atmosphere with experienced and approachable instructors. Definitely worth the investment.
A mate and I have been popping in for some personal training sessions for a good bit now. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! Eve has been smashing it with us and our creaky old joints. She really knows her stuff, and thanks to her help, we're starting to feel heaps fitter and more energized. Do yourself a solid and splurge on this investment for your future self.
I've been hitting up MAD Fitness for about 3-4 years now, taking classes led by different instructors and getting personal training sessions with the one and only Eve. Let me tell you, mate, I'm quite the athletic type and I demand a proper intense workout. However, I've had a few old injuries that can flare up unexpectedly during a session, but no worries - Eve and the other trainers are always quick on their feet to offer up alternative exercises so I can keep pushing through, even when the unexpected strikes in the middle of a class packed with other folks.
What really sets MAD Fitness apart, besides the top-notch trainers, is the amazing clients who show up. It's a real friendly bunch, no judgment here at all. The classes draw in a mix of ages and fitness levels, and we all walk away feeling like we've had a proper sweat sesh. I'm consistently blown away by how the instructors manage to create workouts that challenge everyone in the room, no matter where they're at on their fitness journey. There's a real sense of community at MAD Fitness, and I'm just chuffed that I stumbled upon it!
An excellent spot for personal training and guided strength and fitness sessions. No phony "let's go people" type of training, just genuine supportive motivation and encouragement, always prioritizing safety.
I've been attending MAD for a couple of years now. Initially, when I had a part-time job, I used to go three times a week: one personal training session and two group classes. It was truly transformative. Now that I'm working full time again, I only make it to one personal training session per week. But let me tell you, those sessions with Eve are a game-changer.
The group classes are intense and can be adapted to any fitness level. The personal training is always customized to your specific goals. Equally valuable to me is the sense of community and connection that I consistently experience there. You guys are awesome.
