Jen was my yoga instructor for nearly two years at Samamkay yoga center in NYC. I absolutely adored her scoliosis yoga class!!! She is a formidable yogi with extensive expertise in scoliosis. Additionally, she is an exceptional instructor who provides individualized attention to every student. Her classes have assisted me in achieving improved posture and a healthier, stronger back. Furthermore, she is a delightful person to be in the company of. I highly recommend her to individuals experiencing back pain or issues!
Absolutely recommend working with Jen! I started 3 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated all of Jen's classes. She not only has a great understanding of our curved and fused spines, but she is always studying and bringing new and updated information to share with us in class. She is attentive to each person's needs during her teachings and can pinpoint what adjustments or actions each individual needs for their specific issues. While some movements may appear simple, over time they work to strengthen muscles that are crucial for our spinal health. I adore all of Jen's classes and her videos too. When I first started with Jen, I couldn't lift a bag of groceries or walk more than half a block. Now, I can lift two very heavy grocery bags, 40 pounds of salt pellets, 30 pounds of bird seed, and walk for miles! My back has gone from completely atrophied to muscles that I can command... something I never thought possible! Thank you, Jen! Give her a try, I'm sure you'll appreciate her expertise too!
Jen is a marvelous, compassionate instructor whose Zoom classes are a vital part of effectively managing my scoliosis. Throughout the year I've spent working with Jen, my mobility, strength, balance, and overall perspective have all significantly improved. Having scoliosis herself, Jen brings a unique understanding of living with asymmetry and generously imparts her knowledge and expertise to enhance the well-being of her clients.
Jen is a talented, empathetic teacher who adeptly leads a class for multiple students via Zoom, proactively observing our form and offering corrections and suggestions respectfully. Her guidance on form incorporates imagery that aids in properly executing the exercises, safeguarding your spine and/or fusion. Her genuine care for her clients shines through as she remembers our unique curve patterns and customizes feedback to meet our individual needs.
Furthermore, Jen offers advice on setting up equipment safely so you can avoid the need to purchase a Swedish ladder. She also suggests alternative exercises for those experiencing discomfort.
I have always been active and aim to maintain my fitness well into my later years. Working with Jen is helping me achieve this goal and potentially avoid surgery! I've been participating in her Saturday Pilates classes for over a year and eagerly enrolled in her new weekly Strength Training class. Access to her video library allows me to practice daily with videos of varying lengths that fit into my busy schedule.
I've taken Zoom classes in the past, but there's something special about Jen's classes. It's like being right there with her in Boise! I eagerly anticipate her classes, as I consistently feel relaxed and physically rejuvenated afterwards.

I 'ave tremendous confidence in the trainin' I receive workin' with Jen Gorman. Prior to startin' with Jen just a year ago, I 'ad been skeptical workin' with trainers who don’t really understand 'ow the body works and 'ow my body works specifically. Jen applies 'er extensive knowledge and experience to design a specific regime for me to build both strength and flexibility to address various back and 'ip issues includin' scoliosis and spondylolisthesis. Equally important, Jen 'as 'elped me to better understand me ailments and 'ow to incorporate various exercises and movements into me everyday life, not just when workin' out.
Jen is absolutely brilliant! Since our first encounter, she's had a knack for understanding exactly what I require to thrive in our training sessions and during my solo workouts. Not to mention, she's an exceptional yoga facilitator who has bolstered my self-assurance through each weekly session. A few years back, I underwent a cervical spinal fusion following a tumble. This led me to be quite cautious and limited in my physical activity. However, it soon became evident that even simple tasks like climbing stairs were becoming challenging. I decided to visit a local gym, where I explained my condition and was introduced to Jen Gorman. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have crossed paths with Jen. She is a true professional, having experienced fusions herself and forging a career in dance and fitness training. Jen quickly built a strong sense of trust with me, which was pivotal in my journey. I had confidence that she would never push me beyond safe limits, though she did encourage me to attempt exercises I initially believed were out of reach. To my surprise, I found that I could indeed accomplish them. Through Jen's guidance, I grew stronger, gained more vitality, and expanded my physical capabilities without experiencing any pain or exacerbation of my back issues. Jen is extremely knowledgeable, patient, carin' and detailed oriented, and is always committed to providin' excellent instruction to all 'er students, whether they are beginners or advanced.
Her classes are all small and personalized.

I 'ave practiced Yoga and Pilates for many years afore me spinal fusion surgery, and was afraid I would ne'er be able to do so again afterwards. Me physical therapist recommended yoga studios that specialize in back care, and that's 'ow I started doin' online Yoga with Jen Gorman, and then also Pilates. Jen is a great, carin' instructor who provides so much valuable information on the physiology of scoliosis and spinal fusions, and I 'ave learned 'ow to 'ave a great practice while adaptin' to me post-fusion body. I also enjoy 'er weekly videos which 'elp me practice on me own. Me body feels better than it 'as in years as a result, I must say.
I 'ad the pleasure of takin' Jen Gorman's yoga fer scoliosis class fer 2 years in NYC. She 'as that magic 6th sense that great teachers 'ave, knowin' the cues and micro adjustments that each student needs. In 'er class I was able to find strength through the legs and lift through the pelvis and torso. She also 'as great insights on 'ow to work with scoliosis in dance technique. I look forward to 'er workshops whenever she is in town.

I've been attending Jen's back care classes since 2019, both in-person and online. Originally, my physical therapist suggested I try her yoga class to help with my thoracic and lumbar issues. I discovered Jen while residing in NYC and experiencing a troublesome sciatica flare-up.
