I was 1 minute past the late mark and they would not let me join the next class without paying again. I understand it’s not okay to be late but these classes and fees are absurdly expensive, and i drove 45 minutes to attend this location just to be turned away.
The customer service werena't up to par, I popped in feeling a bit muddled and unaware that one had to sign up for a class online to secure a spot. I had to turn to the solidcore members for guidance on that matter. The instructor hurried me along after an hour of waiting to join the next session, neglecting to share the necessary registration details. Given the cost of the class, I had higher expectations for customer service. It could be beneficial to invest in some customer service training to maintain client loyalty.
This place is absolutely fabulous and a delightful spot to get your workout in! It provides quite the challenge for beginners, but I am definitely planning on returning.
The Pilates class is truly fantastic, but I wouldn't suggest trying Solid Core. It's incredibly hard to reach them by phone, and if you need to cancel your membership for health reasons or any other valid cause, they demand a detailed explanation instead of simply allowing you to cancel. Dealing with this company can make cancelling your membership a very, very, very, very challenging task, which is why I can't recommend it. In terms of workouts though, they are top-notch, 10/10.
Solidcore is simply one of the finest workout classes around. Each visit leaves my obliques and abs aching for days, to the extent that I struggle to rise from my bed for work. The instructors at this establishment are a delightful blend of inspiring and amusing, fostering a sense of teamwork throughout the workout session right up until the final repetition. Although this particular studio may be somewhat more compact than others, it does not diminish the intensity of the workout in the slightest.
Quite a disappointing experience, I must say. The atmosphere lacked warmth and didn't quite meet my expectations.
The changing rooms are quite filthy, absolutely revolting!
I recently attended my inaugural session at solidcore with Christina K (who stepped in for another instructor) and it was absolutely fabulous. Having practiced reformer Pilates for over 16 years, this new experience was quite intriguing. The tempo had a distinctive flair, and their exclusive reformer "sweatlana" presented a refreshingly diverse challenge. I am eagerly anticipating my next visit.
First time visiting the West End. The Pilates studio is charming with lovely natural light streaming through the front window. Coach Jess leads a fantastic class, focusing on building a strong core for a consistently effective workout.
The staff is absolutely splendid and the workout is simply remarkable.
I do wish I 'ad read the google reviews before poppin' by Solidcore West End. The absolute WORST customer service I 'ave ever experienced. When I escalated me complaint to Meg (the manager) 'er customer service was more appalling than the coach I originally wrote to complain about. Needless to say, I would urge other Pilates goers to attend Fuse Pilates, FlyBarre, or any other class in the D.C. area!
I attended three separate classes, each with a different instructor, and I must say, they were rather underwhelming. The class structure left much to be desired, and I found the overall workout experience to be lacking compared to the cost. If you're looking for top-notch instructors, I recommend heading over to FlyWheel instead. Solidcore just didn't quite make me break a sweat.
I do want to like Solidcore because it provides me with a great workout, but alas, I struggle to comprehend what the trainers are saying throughout the entirety of the class at this particular West End locale. The microphone in use is subpar, and the music blares too loudly to overcome the shortcomings of said microphone. I am quite certain that I am not alone in this sentiment, as I have attended three classes at this establishment, each led by different instructors, and the entire class seems disoriented and unsure of what comes next for the duration. I am convinced that there is an issue with the microphone and/or the entire sound system. I find myself wondering if this issue persists in other Solidcore locations. I have not ventured elsewhere thus far, but following this experience, I am uncertain if I would deem it worthwhile. I used to adore traditional reformer pilates but have been unable to locate a suitable, convenient, and affordable studio in close proximity. Hence, I have turned to this alternative.
Absolutely adore Solidcore West End!
I absolutely adore Solidcore at all their locations, but oh my, parking at this particular one is an absolute nightmare. Street parking costs $4 at a meter per hour, but the lot behind the Solidcore entrance is a whopping $17 (!). I'm also slightly petrified of getting a ticket or towed in this area due to the ambiguous DC parking signs. It's not a fault of Solidcore itself, but it might be wiser to opt for public transportation instead of driving to this location.
I am ever so grateful for this amazing team, as they really bring a lot of positivity and motivation to my day. I have been attending the studio for the past year and it has been an absolutely delightful experience. I highly recommend giving it a go, especially if you are in search of a challenging and fulfilling reformer Pilates/strength workout.
Top workout for those dealing with injuries due to its low-impact nature! Incredible strength-building routine where you receive support throughout the entire class to push your muscles to their limits.
The Pilates studio is absolutely brilliant. I am 57 and have been attending regularly for over a year now. It's been a positive experience all the way. Everyone is welcome here, and the coaches are not just knowledgeable about the program but also excel in motivation and inclusivity. A special mention to Coach Sydney for her incredible drive and presence – she's a true inspiration. Community Manager and Coach Christine is wonderfully welcoming and optimistic. This studio is where you can truly become the best version of yourself. No nonsense, just a fantastic community and workout. Each class is an opportunity to improve yourself.
