Brilliant new studio, I must say!
Top-notch workout on H Street! Absolutely adore fitting in this 50-minute session either pre- or post-work. Incredibly inviting environment for both gents and ladies, pristine facilities, and the option to participate in classes with or without masks (including ones where masks are compulsory). I've tried conventional gyms and fitness classes, but SC on H truly takes the wellness experience to the next level. I wholeheartedly suggest giving it a go!
H Street is without a doubt my preferred [solidcore] studio!
For those just starting out, I highly recommend trying Mekia's classes. She's incredibly patient and offers excellent hands-on guidance. She exudes warmth, makes you feel welcome, and maintains a calming presence. It was under her instruction that I truly began to appreciate the "shakes"!
Another standout instructor is Kristina. Get ready to be challenged to excel! The music sets the perfect tone for an energetic session!
Last but not least, Almarie's class is a must for me every week. She chuckles at my dance moves during the routine, but the music and the time spent in her class are simply amazing!
Thanks to these incredible women, I am in the best shape of my life!!
Oh dear, it sounds like your first experience at the Pilates studio was rather disappointing, old chap. Arriving 15 minutes ahead as instructed, only to find the instructor commencing late must have been quite irksome. It's a pity they didn't take the time to properly acquaint you with the contraption before plunging into the workout sans any guidance. It seems they were rather remiss in their duty to assist you throughout the 50-minute session, leaving you feeling rather adrift, eh? Peeking at your fellow participants for form cues is all well and good, but without proper instructor support, one can never be quite sure of correctness, what? All in all, it seems rather unlikely that you'll be jaunting back to this particular instructor in the future. Perhaps giving another instructor a whirl could be an option, although this initial experience has understandably dampened your enthusiasm a tad. The entire 50-minute ordeal certainly sounds like a bit of a wasted opportunity in terms of a proper workout, wouldn't you say?
I recently began attending solid core classes at the end of September as a guest of a friend, and oh my! What an incredible workout. I have been returning almost daily ever since. The instructors are all fantastic and each has their own special touch. The classes are 50 minutes long (except for the super solids) and are based on muscle failure. I have already signed up for a monthly membership. Be prepared to feel sore, and for your core to be thoroughly challenged! I am usually not a morning person, but these classes can transform your morning or lunchtime routine! I highly recommend them!
This class is without a doubt the most challenging workout I have ever experienced, and I must say, I am completely captivated. The instructors are incredibly welcoming and approachable. The ambiance is dimly lit and simplistic, accompanied by a vibrant playlist that enables me to fully immerse myself in the exercises without overthinking.
I ABSOLUTELY adore this place! The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. They inspire you to reach your full potential while ensuring you feel at ease. They cheer on your advancements and inject such fun into the classes. The workout itself is truly outstanding - I eagerly anticipate the shakes in every session.
Visited this studio for the first time yesterday! It’s a fantastic all-round workout and has a great atmosphere. I attended a class with Khayla, who was incredibly welcoming and provided helpful modifications. I highly recommend it if you're seeking a thorough full-body workout in a lively setting.
I didn’t know what to expect at Solidcore, particularly as I was getting back into fitness postpartum and after a pandemic break. I'd never tried a Pilates or reformer class before and was pleasantly surprised by how challenging it was as a full-body workout! I've been going pretty regularly since then - the trainers are very knowledgeable and positive, and they've helped me a lot with my form and modifications now that I'm pregnant again. I haven’t had trouble finding an open class at the H St. studio that fits my schedule.
Be ready to sweat (bring a towel!) and push yourself. It’s a great workout and I started noticing much more strength and stability after just a few classes!
The coaches at the Pilates studio provide personalized feedback while offering words of encouragement. Sometimes the classes can get quite busy. I personally find the solidcore classes to be very beneficial, as I am able to see improvements from one class to the next.
I 'ave been comin' 'ere for a few years now, as this be me absolute favorite workout. I've tried a lot of other classes and nothin' compares. It's an amazin' workout and every class be challengin' even years later. The coaches are amazin' and motivatin' as well. They be friendly while 'elpin' to push you each time. It's given me a sense of community 'ere and 'as truly been me self care.
I absolutely adore this establishment! I have a joint condition and struggle to discover exercises that I can safely engage in, which truly push me and help me build muscle. Solidcore accomplishes just that! The trainers are phenomenal and offer various modifications and intensifications, making it suitable for individuals of all levels. I highly suggest it!
I absolutely recommend this place, 10 out of 10. I've been a client for around two years now, and as a fitness instructor myself, H really fosters a strong fitness community. The instructors make an effort to really connect with you and challenge you. If you're new to the studio or a beginner, make sure to arrive early and attend the foundations class. It might take a couple of sessions to get the hang of it, but once you do, you'll be addicted.
Jessika Banks is absolutely smashing as a coach! I was terribly nervous for my initial class, but she was ever so patient and supportive. She even rallied the group to give me a round of applause at the conclusion of the class.
What a fantastic and captivating workout! I've never felt my muscles work so intensely. By slowing down the movements, you can really delve deeper into your muscles, uncover those trembles, and cultivate discipline! The coaches at H street are all incredibly welcoming, especially the head coach, Laur! There's no need to feel intimidated; every new endeavor is challenging but ultimately rewarding once you grasp it. However, if you're still feeling apprehensive about being a newbie, I highly suggest starting with a foundations class as your initial session.
So, my flatmate was a solidcore enthusiast, and I thought I'd give it a go by joining her for my first class in July. And let me tell you, it was love at first sight. Right away, I committed to a two-week trial to test the waters and see if it could slot into my budget. Well, it didn't take long for me to realize that I absolutely couldn't do without it. The team there truly goes the extra mile, and thanks to them, I've blossomed into the best version of myself. Life throws its curveballs, but when I step into a solidcore session, no matter what challenges I'm up against, my day always gets a whole lot brighter. While I might have a soft spot for the H street location, I've visited other studios, and this one takes the cake, hands down. Laura has done an outstanding job creating a sense of community, and the instructors (a big shoutout to Nolen, Tara, and Alyse) not only push me to my limits but also celebrate my achievements. It's funny, wherever I am, the topic of solidcore somehow crops up, and I can't wait to share stories about this incredible family!
Great class but peculiar location. H street is not quite the ideal spot, I must say.
I’ve been frequenting the studio for around 5 months now, and I was completely captivated after experiencing the 2-week unlimited offer! I've had the pleasure of being led by various instructors, and not one has failed to impress – they consistently encourage and inspire you to give your all throughout the full 50 (or 65) minutes. I’m starting to notice a significant change in my body, strength, and stamina, which is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend trying out the studio/solidcore to anyone, though I would add a word of caution that it's not for the faint-hearted!
