The playground is satisfactory, but if you're looking for other activities for young children, this place falls short. The outdoor pool only has one slide that is not suitable for little ones. The indoor pool seems to be primarily for average swim lessons and not much else. The staff, both the younger members and the more experienced ones, comes across as impolite. Some may even disregard you when you're right there trying to inquire about the facility. I have no plans to come back here.
Roy Cruz (5/13/25, 8:26 PM):
The lifeguards were quite unpleasant during our visit. We traveled for over an hour to reach the recreation center, but ended up leaving after just an hour of swimming due to their rude behavior towards the children. It would be beneficial for them to hire new lifeguards! It's not worth your time or money, which is probably why fewer people are going there. Lifeguards constantly yelling at you and your kids is not a good use of money. The center should be an enjoyable experience, but they managed to suck all the fun out of it. It's only a matter of time before that place shuts down.
Kenneth Hamilton (5/12/25, 3:44 AM):
Finest spot for the little ones, totally secure, and you'll encounter some absolutely lovely folks while you're there.
Harold Cruz (5/11/25, 10:33 PM):
"An absolutely splendid deal for the recreation center, with a wide array of equipment and classes on offer."
Amelia Jenkins (5/11/25, 12:57 AM):
My missus and I, we're present members residing a mere 3 miles away from the centre. We shan't be renewing our membership next year, as the price is set to be close to $1,100 for the pair of us. A GRAND!!!
Mark Morales (5/10/25, 8:43 PM):
Lovely dog park! Loads of space for a good run and really well maintained!
Peter Phillips (5/10/25, 4:47 AM):
This place is fantastic, my son absolutely adores playing basketball here! They've even got a pool on-site, making it a really fun spot for the whole family.
Christina Kim (5/10/25, 3:31 AM):
A jolly good spot for a dip, they've got top-notch weight rooms, walking tracks, and a variety of enjoyable activities.
Grace Foster (5/8/25, 11:41 PM):
This recreation center has got a bit of everything you could want from a gym: weights, cardio machines, 2 pools, classes, basketball and tennis courts, and so on. While none of these are top-notch, it's never overly packed and definitely worth the cost for the decent quality. It may not be as fancy as the YMCA, but it's just the right spot for folks like me who prefer to steer clear of all that.
Andrea Martin (5/6/25, 7:59 PM):
Honestly, the Recreation Center is superb if you have little ones or if you're planning to play tennis, go for a swim, or shoot some hoops. However, what really catches my attention are the gyms - there's a free weights gym and a functional training gym. The free weights gym definitely needs a complete refresh with new equipment, but everything else is top-notch. Also, they have a charming little playground for the kiddos. The operating hours can be a bit of a inconvenience, but if you're seeking a family-friendly active hub, this is the spot for you. On the other hand, if you're in the market for a gym that's open at all hours, then fitness is the place to be.
Willie Jackson (5/6/25, 3:50 PM):
So, I'm giving this place 3 stars because I've only used the pool facilities recently. I hadn't visited in a couple of years due to some negative reviews, but it seems like they've made improvements since then. The hours are better now, and the lifeguards are really friendly. I'm glad to be back this summer. They have both an indoor and outdoor pool, as well as various classes and programs. Personally, I mainly swim in the outdoor pool, which is gorgeous with a sand pit for extra fun. Overall, there's plenty to do outdoors.
Sara Barnes (5/4/25, 7:43 PM):
I 'ave been comin' 'ere for years when I visit town, until this visit it was 5 stars gym even though it is small. But the make lifeguard and a women named Kitty (?) in the pool area makes it uncomfortable now. Next time in town, I will find a new gym as I never want to see him or Kitty again!

I do love the new equipment!
Robert Rodriguez (5/4/25, 2:09 PM):
The pool outside has too many rules..the life guards are rude and act like they're guarding a prison..the cost for non-members is 5$ and with all the rules it's just overpriced.
Samantha Myers (5/4/25, 10:23 AM):
I absolutely adore the rec center. The staff is super friendly and always ready to assist you. The patrons are also really friendly and there's a positive atmosphere that doesn't involve any body shaming.
Joseph Howard (5/3/25, 11:25 PM):
This spot is a jolly good place to sweat it out on the exercise contraptions, join in some classes, or get stuck into some team sports. They've got a splendid weight room and a space with stationary bikes too. It's also where you'll find the city's swimming pool, complete with a lap pool indoors. For the little ones, there's a lovely playground, and some delightful walking trails for a stroll. Cheers!
Scott Mitchell (5/3/25, 2:44 PM):
My wee lassie just adores this spot, and the fresh updates to the play area are absolutely brilliant! Kiddos have given it their seal of approval, no doubt about that!
Riley Evans (5/2/25, 12:31 PM):
This establishment is a bit of a laugh. My old man was given a hard time by one of the lifeguards, he stood his ground and was then told he couldn't come back for the rest of the day. The supervisor said he could return the next day, but when we went back later in the summer he was suddenly banned for the whole season. When I asked for a refund at the front desk, they accused us of fibbing and taking money from the place. We decided to cut our losses and leave, but did manage to get our money back.

A year goes by and a new pool season begins. My husband goes to shoot some hoops and has no problems for four hours. We go back about a week later, only to be told out of the blue that he is now banned indefinitely and if he doesn't leave, the bobbies will be called. They claim they sent a letter in the post, but we never received it. I got my refund and won't be going back, as I'm worried that next time I show up, I'll be the one getting the boot and the police called on me.
Victoria Henderson (5/2/25, 7:03 AM):
Quite a sterile environment, I must say. Nonetheless, the staff are always cordial and there is a plethora of activities to partake in.
Jessica Taylor (5/1/25, 1:31 AM):
I say, quite disappointed I was indeed, took my wee niece and nephew for a spot of swimming today at the Recreation center, I did. Thought it would be a jolly good time, you see.

Let my nephew frolic and splash about in the grand pool, I did, while my son and niece were to play in the kiddie pool. At 34 weeks pregnant, I couldn't manage to keep an eye on both in the big pool, you see. My son, bless him, at 14 months old, couldn't quite stand or amuse himself in the kiddie pool on his own. And with not many other children around, I sat down with him to help him get accustomed to the water and have a bit of playtime.

But what do you know, I was promptly told that I couldn't sit in the pool! I wasn't causing a ruckus, mind you. It wasn't even crowded! I could have understood if they were busy or if my little one could manage in the water without my assistance.

Alas, we were practically forced to vacate. It was dreadfully warm to just sit with me feet in the water. So yes, rather disheartened I am to have spent $5 for a mere sun-soaking session, I must say.
Catherine White (4/30/25, 7:03 PM):
We were at the recreation center with a 4 year old. She absolutely adored it. The facilities were wonderfully maintained and immaculate. Kids of various age ranges were having a blast, and there were ample seating areas for grown-ups to relax and supervise their little ones.
