It's strange that the HITT room is exclusively for active duty members "per policy," while retirees and dependents are restricted from accessing this specific area. However, they are allowed to utilize other areas of the facility.
Gabriel Williams (5/14/25, 5:57 PM):
Lovely spot. Peaceful ambiance. Abundance of equipment. Not overly packed. Highly reliable establishment.
Ronald Thompson (5/13/25, 2:03 PM):
I absolutely adore the gym. The staff is so welcoming and cordial. However, I am bewildered as to why the High Intensity Training room is exclusively accessible to Active Duty Members. In other MWR facilities, this policy does not apply. I am keen to understand the regulation that specifies this benefit solely for Active Duty personnel, while excluding their families or retired personnel who are eligible to use any MWR facilities.

Brilliant gym, top-notch facilities!
Emma Diaz (5/9/25, 11:48 PM):
All they needed was a 'ot tub and an indoor swimmin' pool open all year round and to the young ones until about 6.....I don't know, just a suggestion from a lonely old consumer.

Where MARINES train. The finest gym I've ever visited. Boasts all the equipment you could wish for. There's a cardio room, weight room, machine weight room, HITT workout area (available only to Active Duty), basketball court, and martial arts training room. Now, concerning the negative feedback regarding the HITT program being limited to active duty personnel... The remainder of the gym is top-notch; you can pursue HITT training elsewhere. Saunas are accessible in the locker rooms. The team is typically welcoming. It's quite tidy, save for a few lockers. However, aside from that, the cleaning crew is constantly sweeping and sanitizing areas. Wonderful ambiance. I work in DC, and I make the extra effort to come here for a workout before work.

"Without a doubt the finest gym in Arlington. The gym enthusiasts are professional and considerate. Ample space and top-notch equipment. It's a shame one cannot gain entry unless they possess base access or are acquainted with someone who does."
Frank Parker (5/4/25, 11:32 AM):
I absolutely adore this gym, and I absolutely ADORE having a spot reserved solely for active duty members. It's just splendid! I must say, I am quite weary of those who simply want to reap the benefits without putting in the work. If you've retired, kindly take your pension and find another place to frequent; nobody is obligated to cater to you. Cheers!
George Harris (5/2/25, 5:08 PM):
Feeling thankful for the gym access.
It's great that the active duty peeps have their own space.
Denise King (5/1/25, 2:54 PM):
Fabulous gym, operated by the Marine Corps. A military ID is required for access. Offers free weights, machines, functional fitness, and more.
Gregory White (5/1/25, 1:02 PM):
Decent selection of gear, but the hours are quite dreadful.
Jordan Torres (4/30/25, 11:14 AM):
Fabulous equipment. It would be splendid if they were to consider opening the door from the HIIT room to the main gym area. Cheers!
Daniel Cook (4/25/25, 4:38 PM):
Lovely gym. Just try not to bother the staff with anything that distracts them from web surfing, yeah? Blimey, what dreadful attitudes.
Bradley Sanchez (4/24/25, 5:28 PM):
Fantastic spot for a fitness session!
Matthew Hughes (4/23/25, 12:30 AM):
One of my favorite gyms due to the presence of the basketball court.
Austin Kim (4/20/25, 9:01 PM):
This gym is absolutely brilliant. They've got loads of brand new equipment, basketball and racquetball courts, a top-notch HIIT facility, and saunas. It's a fantastic spot for a workout!
Amy Nelson (4/20/25, 7:28 PM):
A very roomy layout with brand spanking new equipment. It can get a bit packed, but if you're patient, you'll manage to get through your workout routine. The place is consistently spotless and the staff are decent. If you can swing it, I suggest swinging by this spot for a workout. They've got a couple of vending machines and a micro mart (an express mini self-checkout). Plus, there's a spacious gym for other activities like basketball and a crossfit room.
Steven Henderson (4/19/25, 10:06 PM):
This military gym is by far one of the best I've visited during my 19-year career. The staff is always friendly, respectful, and helpful, especially to newcomers to the gym scene. When it comes to weightlifting, it easily outshines the gym at Ft Myer. They have a great selection of dumbbells, plenty of barbell racks, and the weight room is well-lit, clean, and most people are good about putting their weights back. My only complaints are about the cardio room and the men's locker room. The cardio room is dreary, lacking windows, and feels a bit cramped. During winter, it gets too warm due to poor ventilation, despite the big fans running at full blast. The men's locker room also lacks proper airflow and can feel stuffy, especially in the summer.
Evelyn Peterson (4/19/25, 1:19 PM):
So pristine!!! The staff are ever so pleasant! I award meself 5 ⭐ because I was the one who smashed the workout! ...
Dennis Parker (4/16/25, 2:06 PM):
This gym is absolutely top-notch!
