This gym is fantastic with a wide variety of equipment for all kinds of workouts. The staff are super friendly and always ready to help with any questions. I absolutely adore this gym and would wholeheartedly recommend it, 100%!!!
Bruce Thompson (6/5/25, 2:05 PM):
Absolutely fantastic equipment! It may be a tad pricier than other gyms, but I reckon it's well worth the extra dosh. It's starting to get more crowded now that folks are realizing it's the top-notch gym in the area, no question about it!
Ralph Hamilton (6/3/25, 10:45 AM):
You can spot a proper gym right away, mate. There are some real committed athletes and competitors here, all friendly-like. Clean, well-kept, LET'S GO!!
Ryan Reed (6/1/25, 5:23 PM):
I've been a member for almost 2 years. It's a fantastic place with amazing equipment. I've visited gyms in nearby states and none of them have the same quality of equipment. They even have a posing room with great lighting and group posing sessions. The selection of coaches is outstanding. GARRET is the best💯 highly recommended for bodybuilding or powerlifting. If you have any questions, Zac is the go-to guy. He keeps the place top-notch.
Gary Hall (6/1/25, 5:13 PM):
I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed the gym equipment and the well-stocked locker rooms with all the lovely amenities, however, the lack of support in this gym is quite noticeable. Having frequented various gyms for several years now, I have never experienced the sense of not fitting in as I did here at the mecca. A strong gym community where individuals support one another is vital. I comprehend that this is a powerlifting/bodybuilding gym, yet there could be a better equilibrium between taking pride in one's progress and uplifting others. The staff here isn't particularly welcoming, and the atmosphere feels rather exclusive. While I understand it caters to seasoned gym enthusiasts, it wouldn't hurt to foster a more inclusive environment. So, while the facilities are top-notch, claiming to be the most supportive gym in Meridian may be a bit of a stretch.
Sarah Butler (6/1/25, 12:42 AM):
I was a bit scared to give this gym a go, but I've been going for nearly 2 months now and I'm absolutely loving it! The team and other members are so friendly and supportive. Contrary to what I'd heard, it's not all about posing and taking selfies - quite the opposite, actually. Everyone here is focused on their goals, and that's really inspiring and keeps me motivated.
Timothy Mitchell (5/31/25, 11:48 AM):
I heartily endorse Mecca. The folks, ambiance, and equipment are unparalleled! One of the first faces you'll encounter is Adri! Adri is a shining example of what a gym staff member should be, with a personality and manner that truly stand out. Her positive outlook and commitment to fostering a friendly atmosphere make her an essential part of the gym crew. What truly distinguishes her, however, is the familial vibe she brings along with her cute little daughter, who brightens up the place with her presence. This distinctive touch creates a cozy, community-oriented ambiance unlike any other gym in the valley, dispelling entirely the typical stereotype of aggressive, steroid-fueled gym enthusiasts. Thanks to Adri, the gym feels like a place where everyone is welcome, free from any negative connotations. The rest of the team is equally exceptional, and words cannot fully capture the level of excellence they provide or the remarkable talent that the Mecca team has assembled!
Albert Gutierrez (5/30/25, 8:19 AM):
Brilliant Gym, popped in for a quick workout for around a month while I was in the area for work. They've got a belt squat and proper deadlift jacks. Just for those, they deserve 5 stars. It's a real lifter's gym.
Leonard Kelly (5/22/25, 4:26 PM):
I've been a member at the Mecca since 2021, and I must say, the place is top-notch. In March 2023, I began training with Allegra Simms. I just completed week 4 of my program, and I couldn't be more pleased with my entire training experience. I started at 7 months postpartum, feeling a bit lost and unsure how to get back into fitness with all the challenges life throws at you. Allegra has really honed in on a nutrition and workout plan tailored specifically to me. She is extremely thorough, organized, professional, and keeps you on track.
Moreover, the gym equipment is absolutely fantastic, and I appreciate that every time I visit the gym, there's always staff cleaning, sweeping, taking out trash, and wiping down equipment. Great trainers, clean environment, amazing equipment.
10/10 would highly recommend!
Eugene Reynolds (5/22/25, 3:04 PM):
We relocated to Idaho from AZ and were in search of a home gym. We stepped into Mecca and Adri was absolutely FANTASTIC. She was incredibly welcoming and made the membership process a breeze. She was efficient yet understanding when we had our two kids in tow. We are definitely pleased with our decision to join here!
Jason Brown (5/21/25, 10:09 PM):
This gym is top-notch, catering to serious lifters with high-quality equipment. It's a fantastic spot to work out. Getting a day pass for travelers is a breeze.
Victoria Adams (5/20/25, 5:01 PM):
I absolutely adore Mecca. But let me tell you, I have a real soft spot for working alongside Coach Marlon Carson at Mecca. I was a dedicated garage gym enthusiast for more than 15 years until I eventually made the switch to a proper gym to focus on my strength and weightlifting objectives. After scouting out numerous local gyms, I settled on Mecca primarily because of Marlon and the unique qualities he brought to the table. I've been training with him for 3.5 years now. Despite the gym relocating, expanding, and undergoing various changes in terms of staff and ambiance, Marlon has remained a constant for the Strongman, Powerlifting, and Strength and Conditioning community. Thanks to his knowledge, approachable nature, and commitment to helping me achieve my goals, I've not only smashed my gym personal records but also conquered other strength and conditioning milestones like lifting stones in Iceland, scaling mountains, and thriving in backcountry hunts. Marlon has also been a true inspiration to me, motivating me to apply the lessons of perseverance, resilience, and bouncing back from setbacks that I've learned in the gym to both my personal life and business ventures.
Truthfully, Marlon's coaching is the primary reason I've stuck with Mecca all these years. He brings a level of value, expertise, outstanding credentials, and a personalized touch that are truly exceptional.
Alexander Green (5/16/25, 6:53 AM):
I endeavored to cancel my membership owing to my relocation from Idaho. I had to venture into the gym on several occasions just to elicit a response. The individual manning the counter reassured me not to fret and guaranteed a refund, even if I were to be charged for an additional month. Alas, I never received said refund and the charges persisted for a further month. As I have relocated to another state, my membership is rendered obsolete, yet the charges endure.
Sharon Wright (5/13/25, 11:06 PM):
Brodyn and Carson at the front desk are absolutely top-notch. They're the most helpful chaps I've encountered at any gym. Shoutout to Mecca for having such fine folks on the team.
Kevin Bailey (5/9/25, 7:36 PM):
Fantastic gym and fantastic folks! I've been hitting up Mecca and getting my sweat on with Eric for over 3 years now, and I've seen amazing results. I would absolutely recommend it.
Ethan Scott (5/9/25, 4:21 PM):
Great if ye have a wee one!
As a single mum of a 4 year old with 100% custody, the Mecca has been more than overly accommodating for me. I can always bring me bairn there with me knowing she has a safe place to play with other kids while I can work out.
Adri in particular has gone above and beyond for me, and our daughters get to play together there when our schedules work out. Ye also don't have to worry about trying to fit your schedule into other time restrictive Child Care hours that other gyms have. The Mecca also has great equipment, 24 hours access, and great trainers available to access as well.
This is the best gym I have used in Idaho by far. Highly recommend for parents!
Russell Ramirez (5/8/25, 8:25 PM):
The Mecca gym has the best equipment!! More Leg and Glute machines than I’ve ever seen at any gym in the 40 years I’ve been working out! Amazing equipment!! Check it out!
Julie Morris (5/7/25, 3:18 PM):
My favorite gym in town, I must say! The equipment is top-notch, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is welcoming for gym enthusiasts of all ages, shapes, and fitness objectives. The 24-hour access is simply fantastic for night owls and early risers. I can't praise this locally owned and operated establishment highly enough!
Debra Nelson (5/5/25, 2:42 PM):
Mecca Gym is without a doubt the finest gym in Idaho. With 6 bench stations and 4 squat racks, you'll never find yourself waiting to use equipment here.
Brian Price (4/30/25, 2:20 AM):
Brilliant gym, tidy, equipment in top-notch shape, and staff who are always willing to lend a hand.
I highly recommend this gym to anyone who is committed to achieving their fitness goals and enjoying themselves along the way.
