I absolutely adore this gym! The staff here are simply fantastic. You're always welcomed with a smile, and they are incredibly respectful and kind. The Gallery Place location is exceptionally clean! They are constantly checking and restocking everything. This gym has got to be my top choice at Planet Fitness.

Absolutely jam-packed. Customers have come up with a technique of snagging a cable station and performing 20 different exercises on a single cable machine. This is apparently to monopolize one station, complete an entire workout on it, and avoid waiting for another machine. Most folks there take forever to exercise because they are glued to their cellphones and can't tear their eyes away.

This is exactly how a Planet Fitness experience should be. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the gym is always super clean. My only wish is that it was open 24 hours.

I DON'T FREQUENTLY VISIT, BUT WHEN I DO, I'M NEVER DISAPPOINTED. IT'S ALWAYS CLEAN, THE STAFF IS HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. I WOULD SAY IT'S THE BEST GYM.

The spot ain't too bad, particularly when ya consider how little ya shell out. The ladies' loo is decent, but my old man reckoned the gents' was a right mess. They got a heap of gear just sittin' around that could be moved to free up more space for folks doin' a workout on the mats. There's hardly any room for a proper session if ya ain't usin' the machines...just a tiny corner (max 5 mats) and it's always jam-packed.

Could anyone kindly confirm if this place is indeed open at the moment? Google seems to have provided four different opening dates, with the latest one being August 13th, 2022. The PF website does not display the hours of operation. While there is a phone number available, it only leads to voicemail. Cheers!

Do not even consider purchasing a membership at this establishment, as the business practices here are highly questionable and they will attempt to extract your funds through deceitful means. I endured nearly a year of struggles attempting to terminate my account, only to face unauthorized charges totaling close to $400. I initially opened my account in February and subsequently contacted them a few months later to cease my membership due to plans of relocating abroad. An employee assured me that my account had been closed. However, it became evident months later that my account remained active and I was still being billed. Upon trying to cancel again, they adamantly refused, even withholding my account number when requested or furnishing incorrect details. Knowing I was now residing in another city, they insisted that I make a 4-hour trip to their location for cancellation purposes, despite being a premium member requiring only the account number for a transfer. Fed up with their antics, I severed the connection to my credit card, only to find an unauthorized charge of $179.92 levied against me shortly after. Despite disputing this charge, the amount was still deducted from my account. Subsequent attempts in January to close my account resulted in the owner demanding an additional payment under the false pretense of not having received any funds. Falling for this deception, I paid once more, only to realize that my account had been debited twice. Despite numerous calls confirming the reception of both payments by their employees, they adamantly refuse to reimburse me. The manager has displayed a complete lack of interest in assisting or rectifying the situation. The insatiable greed prevalent in this establishment is bound to be its downfall. Exercise caution in selecting where to sign up and disclose your financial information. The ordeal of dealing with this place is not worth the time, effort, or financial strain. It is absurd that they assert that accounts cannot be closed over the phone, yet miraculously managed to do so once they had extracted $400 from me.

The hours ain't great, mate. 7 am to 9 pm just doesn't cut it for me. I live nearby, but I can't be hitting the gym after my dinner or late at night. The hours should start at 5 am and go all the way till midnight, if you ask me.

The gym is spotless. I've visited at various times throughout the day and it's never overly crowded. Some Planet Fitness locations have been removing the steppers and replacing them with ellipticals, and this one is no exception. Outside, there tends to be a good number of people hanging around, so it's wise to stay cautious when alone and especially at night. The Chinatown subway station is conveniently located right outside the front entrance, which is fantastic. Despite being underground, there is free wifi available, and I have decent cell service with AT&T. Additionally, the gym is accessible by wheelchair via elevator.

There be no parkin' in one o' the most congested corners in DC. If ye ain't within walkin' distance or on the green line metro, ye best be searchin' for another spot. 'Tis not worth the headache of 7th street NW.

I popped by after the ol' work shift on Friday. Decided to join up. It set me back 40+ bucks, and they were gonna hit me up again in a few days. The queue for the smith machines was mad long. Saw some gear that was on the fritz. Couldn't even get to the strength area that I needed. Barely had room to stretch out for a warm-up. Tried to get a refund but they weren't having it. Proper gutted about the whole situation, mate.

One simply cannot overlook the entrance to this Planet Fitness in a review. There's an abundance of litter and loitering - I brought along a mate, and he didn't feel secure attempting to gain access to the gym.
Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoy my workouts here. It's generally never too crowded, but it seems like there are an excess of cardio machines and insufficient weights for the clientele that frequent this establishment. The music selection could use some improvement, or at the very least, introduce more variety so it doesn't end up being the same tunes for hours on end.
On the subject of operating hours... having a 10 pm closing time on weekends like they do on weekdays would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely worth the wait. PF did an amazing job - spotless, well-arranged, modern, welcoming, and convenient. Truly, the most pleasant PF I've visited. Pleased to consider this my new go-to gym.

This is a decent gym. Some folks are moaning about the staff, but they were always pleasant with me. One major downside about this gym is it shuts down too soon. 7pm on a Sunday? I wish they stayed open later, especially on weekends. Additionally, they lack any workout classes, which is rather disappointing. I concur with other remarks that the music is excessively loud. The location is top-notch though, just by the metro station. Overall, it's a decent gym.
