Encore Gym in Walnut Creek Shadelands is an absolutely smashing venue for a birthday bash! We jolly well marked our little bloke's fourth birthday here, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff did a stellar job keeping the kids jolly and active the entire time, moving them from one fun and engaging activity to the next. From jumping and climbing to bouncing and running around, the little ones had an absolute blast!
One of the standout features was how accommodating the staff was. They were incredibly helpful and took care of everything, which made our party planning so much easier. I also appreciated the preferential parking for the parents of the birthday child—it made dropping off decorations and food for the party room a breeze.
The energy in the gym was simply delightful, and it was such a joy to see all the kids grinning and having the time of their lives. If you're on the lookout for a spot to host a birthday bash for your little ones, Encore Gym is the ticket! This place (foam) is absolutely fantastic! Our initial visit was to East Bay Sports Academy for toddler gymnastics, and through a playdate friend, we discovered Encore. The difference for toddlers was striking! At East Bay Sports Academy, I found myself running around after my nearly 2-year-old, perspiring, and attempting to keep him away from the groups of older children practicing. There wasn't another boy, of any age, at the facility, just one male instructor collaborating with the teenage girls. His class consisted of three girls who were 1-2 years his senior, and the class was quite structured. As it was his first time, he struggled to grasp the rules and structure, full of curiosity and more interested in exploring than sitting still. The instructor was very kind, and on the whole, we had a positive experience. However, when we visited Encore, what a dramatic contrast! There were as many boys as girls, all toddlers/young kids during his scheduled session, no older children dominating the gym. My son could freely roam around, trying out the various equipment and play areas. There were safety railings, so I didn't have to constantly chase after him. The space was adorned with vibrant colors. Our instructor was Elky, and while I appreciated the other instructor at East Bay Sports Academy, Elky truly stood out. The atmosphere and energy at the two gyms were completely different--Encore is undeniably toddler-focused during his classes (they cater to all ages, even adults). Elky emphasized that their gym aimed to be fun and promote parent-child interaction and a healthy lifestyle, rather than solely focusing on competitive training like East Bay Sports Academy. Both are excellent gyms, but Encore was a perfect fit for us! I wholeheartedly recommend it! We enrolled immediately and prepaid for 2 months because he enjoyed it so much. The other families were incredibly friendly and welcoming; it felt like a playdate environment. At Sports Academy, I was the sole participating parent. Give it a try--you won't regret it!

Erik and his team at the gymnastics center were absolutely fantastic with our group of energetic kids! We had 18 children who were all pumped up and ready to have a great time, and they effortlessly kept them organized throughout the event. (Bless their hearts 😅) It was a blast, and the ladies who assisted with setting up the decorations, distributing pizza, opening juice boxes, you know, all the essential tasks, were amazing and showed great patience with the children. Overall, it was a stress-free experience for us, and we give it a perfect 10/10 rating. The parent viewing area was an added bonus, feeling like the VIP section of a club where we could enjoy our coffee and donuts. Thanks once again for putting on such a fantastic event!

This gym is the type of gym that takes your money and fails to deliver the services. Around a month ago, my family and I enrolled in private classes. The instructor, named Eugenie, taught my sister for one Friday and then proceeded to cancel on us for the following Fridays due to her "busy schedule". Several days later, without realizing we were from the same family, she reached out to us indicating she now had availability for my brother to join and start classes at the same time she had previously canceled on us. Upon mentioning that we were the same family, she promised to call back but never did.
Yesterday, almost a month after our initial registration, we visited the gym to inquire about the situation. We waited until Bernadette, an extremely impolite elderly lady who was of no help whatsoever, came to speak with us. While we were calmly explaining why we were there, she rudely interrupted us to assist someone else. This establishment showed zero respect towards its customers. I strongly suggest finding a place that values both your child and yourself.

My daughter had her first gymnastics class experience at Prewett Park when she was just 4 years old, and her coach noticed how advanced she was at such a young age. He immediately referred her to the Encore coaches. She passed all her testing scores with flying colors, so she started tumbling and flipping alongside 12-year-olds in the red group, and she absolutely loves it!

I say, they won't let me into their daft classes! I've been eagerly waiting for nearly a year to attend, but they claim I'm next to try out. Yet, I still don't make it into the class, and now I'm third on the list! That's why this place is rubbish! They don't even have air conditioning.

This establishment will surely overcharge you. I made a payment on October 26th and then again on November 26th. They canceled one class due to smoke and another due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Consequently, my daughters only attended two classes for the entire month, yet they still demand payment for the full month! This situation is truly absurd. If you fancy paying $40 per class (which lasts just one hour on a single day) and accumulating a plethora of makeup classes that you can't even utilize, then this is the perfect place for you. The management shows a distinct lack of concern for their customers.

Neat place. Ideal for hosting children's parties. We celebrated an 8th birthday here, with Kevin's friends from 4 to 15 years old. Everyone had a blast. The staff was brilliant at handling the kids, providing clear directions. The party areas are spotless and feature large windows. The staff guided the children through obstacle courses, trampolines, foam pits, and more. The kids were exhausted by the end. Definitely planning to come back for more fun!

This is truly worth the hassle of booking for a birthday bash. Eric is an absolute hoot, super organized, kind-hearted, and oh-so patient. The female coaches brought in to oversee our shindig were simply splendid - helpful, delightful, and really made this 5th birthday party one for the books! It's fantastic because you have the whole place to yourselves, your little ones navigate through 4 phases of obstacles and routines, keeping them fully involved and occupied. The parents couldn't stop raving about the party, and the kids had an absolute blast. So thankful and definitely planning more parties here in the future. Cheers!

What a lovely spot for a birthday celebration, they truly do a splendid job--I simply had to bring some cupcakes and water, and that was all! The little ones had an absolute blast, they could explore various sections of the gym and experiment with all the exciting equipment. The trampolines and foam pits were particularly popular. :) My daughter had an amazing time at her 5th birthday bash here, so we're returning for her 6th birthday party this weekend. The pricing for birthday parties is quite fair as well, especially when compared to other venues.

Encore Gym in Walnut Creek Shadelands is a jolly good spot for throwing a birthday bash, I must say! We celebrated our young chap's fourth birthday there, and I couldn't recommend it more highly. The chaps in charge did a splendid job of keeping the little ones active and entertained throughout, moving them from one enjoyable activity to the next. From leaping and climbing to bouncing and scurrying about, the kiddies had an absolute ball!
One thing that really stood out was how accommodating the staff were. They were ever so helpful and took care of everything, making our party planning a breeze. I also appreciated the special parking for the parents of the birthday boy—it made dropping off decorations and nibbles for the party room ever so easy.
The atmosphere in the gym was infectious, and it was such a delight to see all the youngsters beaming and having a whale of a time. If you're on the hunt for a venue to host a kiddie party, Encore Gym is the bee's knees! A fantastic spot for a young one to thrive. Encore truly became an extension of my family for nearly seven years. Both my daughters and even I took classes there. The coaches are supportive, engaging, and understanding. Absolutely terrific experience. We were quite bummed to bid farewell to Encore because of our move, but we will always hold a fondness for gymnastics wherever we may be!
