Awesome spot. Staff that are so accommodating. Provides a myriad of classes and activities to fill your day. Definitely worth a visit.
Mark Jordan (5/15/25, 12:00 AM):
This place is absolutely brilliant. I popped in for a spot of yoga with a pal and the vibe was top-notch. Kate, the yoga guru, is an absolute gem. She really knows how to make you feel like the class is just for you. Even though it was my maiden voyage into the world of yoga, I didn't feel an ounce of self-consciousness!
Wayne Hamilton (5/12/25, 3:05 PM):
I be only boulderin' for now. The problems 'ave been plentiful and challengin'. I’ve been enjoyin' these touchstone climbin' gyms and 'ope they consider to open another one towards Pittsburg, CA!
Virginia Ortiz (5/10/25, 11:12 PM):
Brilliant climbing gym, loads of routes to tackle. Top-notch bouldering options. Both top rope and lead climbing available for a well-rounded experience.
Anna Gutierrez (5/10/25, 2:52 PM):
Had a smashing time! The staff were ever so friendly and helpful 👌🏽😁 I shall definitely be returning. Cheers!
Andrea Gutierrez (5/9/25, 11:45 AM):
I 'ad to cancel me membership today after putting up with this gym durin' the COVID times. It's truly disappointin', as the gym 'as the potential to be great if it weren't fer the lack of maintenance and the poor staff. The equipment is decently kept up, but the gym itself is absolutely filthy. It's without a doubt the dirtiest gym in the Bay Area; and even though the fees keep goin' up, they still ain't fixin' this issue. I rarely see the same staff members from one visit to the next. Overall, the staff's knowledge about climbin', especially outdoor climbin', is lackin'. It seems like the staff is more focused on chattin' amongst themselves rather than assistin' the customers. Obviously, there ain't many choices for climbin' gyms in the Bay, but if ye 'ave the chance to choose another gym, there are several places that are clean, 'ave well-maintained equipment, and 'ave an informed and helpful staff.
Larry Morgan (5/6/25, 3:39 PM):
Top-notch gym for a range of activities, with a focus on climbing and cross fit. They also offer Yoga and spin classes. The staff is fantastic, and the community is very welcoming. Limited options for weight lifting and machine usage, though.
Chloe Alexander (5/6/25, 6:45 AM):
This gym, hands down, is one of the finest I've had the privilege to be part of! The staff and regulars are incredibly friendly and encouraging, creating a wonderful sense of community. Despite its slightly smaller size compared to other gyms, you won't find yourself getting bored here, as they regularly introduce new challenges by rotating sections of the wall.
Sophia Powell (5/5/25, 1:03 AM):
The bouldering area is top-notch, but the lack of an auto belay system is a major downside for a climbing gym.
Randy Moore (4/30/25, 11:48 AM):
Brilliant Rock gym! Popped in for a session on the boulders while passing through town. The bouldering space isn't massive, but they've got some cracking v2-v4 problems.
Diane Thomas (4/29/25, 5:30 AM):
I was rather disappointed with my experience at this rock climbing gym. The bouldering area felt cramped and tucked away in a corner, the overall facility seemed outdated, and the climbing routes appeared to have been untouched for months. The weight equipment was haphazardly placed and many of the treadmills were out of order. While I was able to complete my workout, I must admit that this was the first rock gym that left me feeling a bit down.
Julia Reyes (4/27/25, 2:30 AM):
I absolutely adore this gym, it's like a second home to me. The staff and community at Diablo are incredibly supportive and friendly!
David Cruz (4/24/25, 2:45 AM):
Lead, top rope, bouldering, weights, slackline, crossfit. Diablo offers you a plethora of training options, mate.
Harold Young (4/23/25, 4:42 AM):
Lovely gym with absolutely cracking staff and climbers. A smashing variety of routes, including both top rope and lead, that are kept up to scratch with regular updates. Cheers!
Mary Sanders (4/23/25, 2:27 AM):
I 'ad a brilliant Intro to Climbing class. My instructor, Emerson, was exceedingly helpful and knowledgeable, and 'e was real supportive throughout the class.
Lauren Watson (4/18/25, 4:25 AM):
The two blokes who answered the blower on 8/25/18 at 11:30 a.m. were unable or unwilling to answer me queries. However, they were both quick to tell me that most folks go online for info. So here I am online scribbling this review. The info given by your employees contradicted what your webpage says regarding booking Kids belay. I reckon then that they either didn't really check the availability or that your webpage is off-kilter and thus my bell was necessary. Or your employees are a bit lazy (read way too cool to dish out accurate info) and losing you a paltry amount of dosh. I understand that $40 is meaningless to your business, I also get that losing one punter isn't all that important, but what should matter a lot is excluding two young lasses from partaking in the sport that your business is so passionate about. Cheers mates.
Steven Wilson (4/16/25, 11:42 AM):
The lead area is proper steep, mate. The crack to climb on is well cool. The staff and community are proper encouraging. Have a go at their challenge list, you won't regret it.
Daniel Smith (4/15/25, 4:56 AM):
Brilliant climbing gym with a lovely bunch of folks here.
Jack Jordan (4/13/25, 9:13 AM):
The bouldering area is rather minuscule with walls that are quite short, only around 12 feet in height. There aren't many traverses to create longer, more engaging routes. The mats in the bouldering section are quite worn out and old. Essentially, bouldering seems to be an afterthought in this facility.

On the other hand, the roped climbing area appeared to be more promising. They mentioned that they can make belay partner announcements upon request. However, it's challenging to see the value of a membership here unless you have a reliable belay partner; otherwise, you'll be depending on strangers for belaying, which comes with its own risks.

In general, the gym doesn't seem to justify its price. While the $95 per month membership grants access to all Touchstone gyms, the day pass fee for this specific location ($30) seems steep. If you're solely using this gym, the membership might not be worth it. It appears that this gym requires some upgrades and refurbishments to match the standards set by other Touchstone locations. Most individuals typically frequent their nearest gym, so if you live in Concord and primarily climb here, you might be paying too much for the amenities offered compared to other Touchstone gyms like Pac Pipe, Ironworks, etc. The pricing is comparable to Movement in San Francisco, which boasts better facilities, more space, and so on.
Jean Coleman (4/13/25, 6:25 AM):
The rock walls and bouldering area here are top-notch. With a small gym on the side, this place is truly the bee's knees. My 7-year-old lad and I frequent this spot, where the folk are friendly and accommodating. It's just the ticket for learning the ropes. Do bear in mind, however, they don't offer automatic belay systems, so you'll need a chum if scaling the walls is your cup of tea. Cheers!
