I absolutely adore this joint! I've been coming here since I was a wee lad, and I still get a kick out of it! They offer a plethora of choices for climbers of all levels. I highly recommend it! Although, if you fancy reaching the summit, ensure you bring a mate along as you need a partner to partake in the fun.

What a fantastic time we had! Our party of 6-8 climbers thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Southern Stone. Jonathan, the owner, was an excellent instructor: he was knowledgeable, supportive, and patient as we learned the fundamentals. Both the facility and the staff were top-notch. We are looking forward to returning for more events in the future!

A wee, no-frills establishment with top-rope, auto-belays, and bouldering. The boulders are quite enjoyable and pleasantly challenging, but ye won't find any fancy fiberglass holds; the bouldering has a cozy, homey vibe. Definitely a good time if ye aren't expecting a big commercial gym. They have a 2017 MoonBoard at a 40° angle and some free weights upstairs, though it'll cost ye an extra $5 on top of the day pass. There's no proper fitness area or showers to speak of. When I visited, they had around 40 boulders ranging from V1-V9.
