I do adore this climbing gym for several reasons: (1) the route setting is top-notch. They have a dedicated team of four who reset the routes weekly, ensuring there is always something fresh to tackle. Their skills are truly commendable. (2) The people here are fantastic. The staff is so friendly and always willing to assist. I've even found climbing partners here because everyone is so chatty. (3) The cleanliness is exceptional. They have these massive filters that eliminate chalk from the air, creating a refreshing breeze while climbing. Don't forget your jacket! (4) The fact that they wash their holds regularly is a huge plus. It's wonderful not to encounter grimy or overly polished holds. (5) This gym is incredibly tall, which adds an extra thrill to the climbing experience. (6) The kids' programming is done exceptionally well. Despite having to drive an additional 10 minutes past the nearest climbing gym - a total of 30 minutes each way - I have chosen to make this gym my go-to spot. The journey is absolutely worth it.

I've scaled the walls of numerous climbing facilities, and let me tell you, G1 boasts the finest route setting. As a somewhat diminutive climber, I never find my reach or stature to be a hindrance. There's an array of ways to push yourself and advance on the terrain here. The grips are impeccably maintained and lack that slick sheen. The camaraderie within this establishment is truly something special. I feel incredibly embraced and comfortable at G1. Massive gratitude to the setters and staff at G1 for being exceedingly awesome!

G1 is absolutely fantastic. The place is always spotless, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the overall layout is top-notch. Everything is meticulously maintained and carefully thought out. They host a wide variety of community events that are welcoming to everyone, and there are activities tailored for climbers at every skill level.
Moreover, they provide climbing classes and have private coaches available to help you elevate your climbing abilities. Personally, I've been working with Chelsea Rude and have noticed significant progress in my climbing skills in a short period of time. I wholeheartedly recommend Chelsea to climbers of any proficiency level, and I genuinely believe G1 is one of the best climbing gyms I've ever experienced.
Andrea Nelson (5/29/25, 1:25 PM):
Great gym, mate! The route setting is top-notch, and the staff is proper friendly. The facility is spotless and has a solid regular workout area. The bouldering grades are bang on, but I reckon the top rope grades are a bit on the easy side. Overall, it's my favorite gym outside of downtown, no doubt.
Zachary Hall (5/26/25, 8:30 PM):
Bloody fantastic vibes, top-notch setting in the front range!! I highly recommend it.
Judy Carter (5/26/25, 8:05 AM):
A jolly good time at G1 Climbing and Fitness, I must say! Their top-notch facilities and expert guidance cater to climbers of all levels, while their steadfast support for our nonprofit, Veterans Exploration Therapy, is truly remarkable. The chaps at G1 really do go the extra mile to empower and uplift their community. Their dedication to giving back to our veterans is simply splendid. Thank you, G1 and Jeff, for your exceptional commitment to both climbing prowess and community service! Cheers!

Absolutely loving this climbing gym! I've been a regular here since day one. The gym is incredibly clean and modern, equipped with all the essentials for a fantastic workout. The staff are so welcoming and supportive, but what truly sets this place apart is the awesome setting! Having climbed at numerous gyms across the Front Range, I can confidently say that this gym offers the most exceptional setting for climbers of all levels. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Evelyn Davis (5/23/25, 3:36 PM):
Absolutely smashing, mate! This absolute beast of a climbing gym is located within spitting distance of heaps of people and climbing hubs on the Front Range. The layout is open and inviting, with a friendly atmosphere to boot.
The real standout for me was the route climbing: This wall feels like the tallest I've tackled indoors, with enough twists and turns to keep things exciting and fresh. The routes are top-notch, thanks to the skilled setting crew who make sure there are plenty of shake-out spots and resting points, just like you'd find on real rock. None of that power-endurance sprint nonsense where you can't even pause to clip in. G1 keeps it real.
The facility boasts a sleek, modern weight room, tidy bathrooms and spacious locker rooms, and plenty of beginner-friendly terrain for those just starting out.
Upstairs is where the magic happens: Tension Board, Kilter Board (how rad!), hangboard/campus board tower, long bouldering wall, and chill-out area with tables and chairs. The bouldering is a blast, with varied routes up impressively tall walls and some cool slab/parkour sections on the lower angles. The harder problems could do with a bit more consistency and footholds for us shorter climbers. At 5'6", I found myself stumped on a few reachy moves where an extra jib or two would have made all the difference. But hey, I'm not as spry as I used to be...
All in all, a cracking gym with a top-notch experience. Thoroughly recommend it, mate!
Beverly Ramirez (5/21/25, 11:54 PM):
Magnus Midtbo jests about boulder walls being “for kids”… well at G1, it truly is the kid's wall.
If you happen to boulder there, be prepared to find yourself surrounded by little ones scurrying about and traversing across all the problems, paying no mind to others. One would imagine that the staff supervising them would be more cognizant of the disturbance it's causing. It appears to have worsened after more than a year of frequenting this place.
G1, if you're going to host kids programs every single day during peak hours, kindly designate a specific section of the gym for it so that everyone can relish the gym experience they've paid for.
Andrew Jordan (5/21/25, 4:49 AM):
Clean. Brand spanking new and TALL. Taller than any other place I've climbed before. Overall, fantastic vibes.
However, the route setting is quite lax. There are many peculiar movements that lack a logical flow between them. Lots of awkward body positions that prioritize strength over proper sequencing. I must say, I am not impressed and would go as far as to say it's the poorest route setting in the Denver/Metro area.
Evelyn Edwards (5/16/25, 1:35 PM):
I 'ave nothin' but good things to say about the coaches for the youth recreational teams. They are all blimey amazin' wiv the kids. They know exactly when to provide more support while also buildin' confidence to do it on their own. Their exemplary support and teachin' is invaluable for the love of climbin' my kid 'as developed. Beyond the youth program, the gym is always clean and well ran. I highly recommend this gym.
Alan Hamilton (5/11/25, 9:20 PM):
My favorite gym in the greater Denver area! Absolutely adore all of their community programs!
Austin Sanders (5/11/25, 1:36 PM):
Absolutely smashing gym, I must say! The wall height, route setting, pristine air, top-notch staff, and sense of community are all simply splendid. Hands down my favorite gym in the Boulder area, cheers! 👍👍
Teresa King (5/11/25, 1:02 PM):
There be many climbing gyms closer to me abode, but upon discovering G1, I bid them all adieu. The route setting be top-notch, the walls are textured and pristine, the lighting be splendid, and the atmosphere be always lively.
Rachel Garcia (5/10/25, 8:33 AM):
Brilliant staff! Top-notch experience! Enrolled in the learn to climb class with my mate, we were greeted warmly as soon as we entered the premises. Abby was our instructor and she was absolutely fantastic, she had a wealth of knowledge and prioritized safety. She was also incredibly friendly and very encouraging. There was another staff member observing her, I can't recall her name, but she was equally as brilliant. We had a grand time and are definitely excited to come back!
Christian Ortiz (5/10/25, 5:47 AM):
I absolutely adore climbing at G1. The towering walls and fantastic routes offer a plethora of exciting challenges that are constantly evolving. The team is exceptional and the atmosphere, even during peak times, is incredibly welcoming and relaxed. Even my 5-year-old joins in on sessions and has an absolute blast.
Lisa Turner (5/10/25, 12:32 AM):
A bloody brilliant facility, I must say! The staff is top-notch, the community is smashing. You've got yerself a 2-lane 15m speed wall with timers, which is absolutely superb, on top of some cracking sport and bouldering walls, alongside a proper good fitness center. Prime location, near plenty of spots for a post-climb munch, and good parking availability as well. One of the best facilities I've visited here in the US! Keep up the sterling work, G1 team!
Joan Allen (5/8/25, 5:15 PM):
Undoubtedly the finest gym on the Front Range. Immaculate, top-notch staff, and exceptional route setting. The routes are tall, providing excellent training for those long alpine climbs!
Lawrence Lee (5/3/25, 10:52 PM):
Even if it weren't run by a top-notch staff and led by CO climbing community stalwart and all-around great guy Jason Haas (Surprise! It is!), it would STILL boast the tallest gym walls in America that leave other gyms feeling like the woody you attempted to construct in your garage that one Summer. They've done an outstanding job of maintaining a safe and enjoyable facility during the pandemic, and I commend the G1 family for navigating unprecedented times with the utmost professionalism and grace. If you're in CO and appreciate world-class indoor climbing alongside an inclusive community of climbers of all ages and skill levels, make your way to G1.
Teresa Murphy (5/1/25, 7:10 AM):
G1 is the finest climbing gym in the Front Range, I must say! The route setting is top-notch with some splendid long routes. I make it a point to visit twice a week, and without fail, there are brand new routes every single time I drop by. This ensures there's always something exciting and fresh to tackle. Moreover, in terms of air quality and facilities, it's hands down the most sanitary gym in the vicinity.
