This location is particularly noteworthy for its wheelchair-accessible car park and accessibility, ensuring that all members can enjoy their fitness journey.

Amenities at LA Fitness

LA Fitness boasts several facilities that cater to diverse workout preferences. The wheelchair-accessible entrance ensures easy access for all. Once inside, members can take advantage of the basketball court, swimming pool, and sauna – although many patrons have reported that the sauna has been out of order for several months, creating some frustration among regulars.

The locker rooms are equipped with showers, making it convenient for those looking to freshen up post-workout. However, some reviews point to cleanliness issues, with concerns about the state of the changing areas and the need for better maintenance.

Atmosphere and Community

The overall atmosphere at LA Fitness is often praised, with many visitors noting the friendly staff and welcoming environment. One member stated, “The staff is always friendly and helpful, creating a positive experience while working out.” On the contrary, it’s worth mentioning that some guests feel there’s a strong push for memberships and personal training packages, which can be off-putting for those simply wanting to work out.

Membership Experience

While the membership options can seem appealing — including promotions that boast significant savings such as *“31% cheaper”* — some customers have expressed confusion regarding pricing structures and hidden fees. Potential members should ensure they fully understand the terms before committing. It's important to know that membership is required to access the various amenities, including the pool and sauna.

Challenges and Areas for Improvement

Despite the numerous benefits, LA Fitness in Addison faces several challenges. Many customers have pointed out that equipment is frequently left unorganized, with weights scattered across the gym floor. Moreover, some report that machines are often broken, which hampers the overall workout experience. There are also complaints regarding the cleanliness of certain areas, with one visitor mentioning mold and poorly maintained showers.

In addition, issues related to guest service have surfaced, particularly regarding communication and responsiveness from staff when addressing concerns or inquiries. While many staff members receive kudos for their friendliness, inconsistent experiences can sometimes tarnish the overall impression of customer service.

Conclusion

In summary, LA Fitness in Addison, IL, presents a mix of strengths and weaknesses. With a focus on community and accessibility, along with a variety of amenities, it can serve as a great place for both novice and experienced fitness enthusiasts alike. However, potential visitors should keep in mind the importance of reviewing membership terms and being prepared for varying levels of service and cleanliness.

Whether you're drawn by the basketball court, the swimming pool, or the potential for a supportive fitness community, it’s essential to plan your visit accordingly. With careful consideration, you might just find that this gym meets your needs.

I reside in Lemont and make a point to visit this gym regularly. It's consistently tidy, the weight equipment is well-organized, the community is top-notch, and it offers excellent amenities.
Andrew Moore (6/4/25, 9:42 AM):
This gym is quite splendid. It's clean, with ample space between the machines, and the staff are quite friendly. Overall, it's rather enjoyable. However, I do wish they offered towel service. 😒
Sarah Bailey (5/31/25, 10:02 PM):
This gym is absolutely top-notch, mate! The vibes are just spot on, making it one of my absolute faves. The team here go above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly - Sal and Delia in particular always go the extra mile to make sure my time at the gym is top-notch. If you're considering getting a membership, I strongly suggest you go for it - you won't be disappointed, I promise you that!

That gym is an absolute disaster. They're fraudsters who sneakily swipe your card details and keep debiting your account for no rhyme or reason. Their transparency is nil; they claim to reimburse the annual fee on a pro-rata basis upon cancellation, but it's all hogwash. On top of that, they slap you with a hefty cancellation fee. Unbelievably, they shun cash and checks, insisting solely on snatching funds from your debit or credit card without authorization. Attempting to reach their headquarters is futile - calls go unanswered, and emails are left hanging in cyberspace. Absolutely abysmal in every conceivable way!!!

I've been attending XSport Addison since it first opened. Today, Brian went above and beyond to assist my guest in signing up and also ensured that my rates were accurate. Throughout my time here, he has been the only manager to make sure all my account details were in order. I highly recommend signing up with Brian!
Additionally, the XIT classes led by Alfredo and Brandon have been an absolute blast!
Thanks a lot, guys!

This gym is a complete disaster. The bars on the cable machines feel like they're made out of plastic, the sauna bench is practically crumbling, and don't even get me started on the lack of towel service. And to top it all off, the roof leaks constantly. But the real kicker is the weights – they're so smooth that they roll all over the place, making deadlifting a nightmare. Plus, there are no medicine balls, not enough bar clips, and definitely not enough equipment for the cable machines. It's a total mess.
Charlotte Hamilton (5/25/25, 10:22 PM):
This gym is often unfairly criticized. It offers everything I could want in a fitness center (just missing a steam room). The staff are friendly and the facilities are well-kept. Without a doubt, the best Xsport location in the area.
William Long (5/25/25, 3:16 PM):
I must say, this gym location does not meet the standards I'm accustomed to. Regrettably, they lack the convenience of hydromassage chairs and a standup tanning booth. Additionally, the malfunctioning timer for the whirlpool and the presence of mold and debris in the air vents above it are concerning. The quality of the exercise equipment falls short compared to what I've experienced at Planet Fitness. To top it off, one of the massage chairs is deteriorating, there's a shortage of towels and sanitation bottles for equipment, creating a less than pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the pool and sauna leaves much to be desired. All in all, this gym is not up to par with my expectations.
Mia Carter (5/24/25, 7:06 AM):
The gym is alright, but there's a bit of a snag - they only have one water fountain. Water is pretty essential for a gym, so I reckon it's quite daft that there's only one fountain available. It would be wise for this gym to consider adding more water stations, perhaps even install a sensor-activated water bottle fountain, especially for a larger gym like Xsport.
Emily Morales (5/23/25, 1:38 AM):
The staff at this GYM are really friendly and the facilities are spacious with plenty of equipment for a good workout.
George Jackson (5/19/25, 3:43 PM):
I absolutely adore the gym, it's always impeccably clean with a spacious layout and fantastic lighting (you'd be astonished at how dim other places can be). The front desk employees Karen and Christian are simply fantastic - attentive, pleasant, and so professional! I'm currently training with Personal Trainer Jimmy, who is extremely respectful, knowledgeable, and professional. I'm excited to see my progress!

I must say, the management at this location is top-notch. I believe that other locations could benefit from a change in management or perhaps some management training. Keep up the great work, Addison team! 🎉
Emily Morales (5/19/25, 12:40 AM):
This gym is an absolute gem! The vibes and the community here are top-notch. It truly feels like a second home, not just a place to work out. Love it!
Ann Ramos (5/18/25, 10:15 PM):
Dropped by this spot last night and the dude at the front desk halted me to say I needed to put on my face mask. I moved aside to grab it from my bag, and instead of waiting, he told me off and warned me not to enter the gym (which I wasn't even trying to do at that moment). To top it off, he referred to me as "you people" and even threatened to involve the police, all while I was simply trying to follow the rules. Xsport, clarify what "you people" means in your customer service book and why threatening with police is considered okay.
Willie Foster (5/17/25, 8:13 AM):
These folks are quite sneaky. They attempt to take advantage of you in every possible way. Take extreme caution before committing to anything, as getting out of any agreements won't be a walk in the park. It'll be quite the "arduous journey" to cancel any services. I suppose the best course of action would be to simply block your credit card.
Sophia Jenkins (5/17/25, 7:42 AM):
Lombard Gym is doing a fantastic job at maintaining cleanliness. I've been waiting for over 9 months for LA Fitness to fix the sauna - it's starting to feel like forever. There's also an issue with people hogging the swimming lanes for over an hour; perhaps we can come up with a system to share them. Despite these drawbacks, Lombard Gym is still much more enjoyable than X-SPORT on Finley Rd. The only downside there is the freezing temperature, but if you're a Polar bear, you'd probably enjoy their pool. I emerged looking like Papa Smurf after my dip.
Ruth Parker (5/17/25, 2:17 AM):
I cannot believe the ever-changing mask policies at the gym. Now, we are required to wear a mask around our necks at all times? Absolutely not. I was constantly harassed while trying to keep to myself in a corner, away from everyone else, just because I wasn't wearing my mask when others clearly weren't following the same rules. Additionally, they were not upfront about the maintenance fees. That was the final straw for me. I've already found another gym that is honest and doesn't tolerate mask nonsense. Best of luck to everyone else!
David Graham (5/12/25, 9:39 PM):
So, the gym used to be rather splendid. They went and switched the hours around, and ever since, it has been absolutely rammed. To the point where you can't even lay hands on the weights, gotta queue up, or might as well just give that particular exercise a miss.

Now, I work the graveyard shift, so when I attempted to pop by at a mere 7pm, they were shut on weekends. It's quite frankly unacceptable in my book, and they should rethink their 24/7 claim. I reckon I'll be switching to a different gym, one with fewer crowds and more accommodating hours. The sheer amount of high schoolers running about the place is bonkers. Between 3 and 7 pm, don't bank on a swift workout.
Linda Kim (5/12/25, 12:00 PM):
The gyms not too shabby, but it tends to be overrun with folks, making it a tad tricky to stick to your workout plan. And let me tell you, the responses to all the reviews here seem like they’re copy-pasted. Customer service feels a bit subpar, and I've heard similar complaints from others. Canceling membership? Good luck with that—it's quite the chore. It might be time to scout out a fresh gym spot, wouldn't you say?
Nicole Ortiz (5/9/25, 1:23 PM):
The gym atmosphere is top-notch, mate. There's a wide range of equipment to choose from, and the staff here are absolutely brilliant.
Aaron Young (5/8/25, 7:49 PM):
I had a dreadful experience at this gym location with the "manager" Ben. He was terribly impolite and quite unhelpful, showing no concern whatsoever for the members at the facility. I had bought a two-year membership that supposedly included all recovery amenities, and had been utilizing the Cryotherapy machine since I joined in June without any issues. However, all of a sudden, this individual informs me that it is not covered by my membership and would require an additional fee of nearly $50 per month just to use the Cryotherapy machine. Keep in mind that I live 20 miles away and suffer from Fibromyalgia, with the Cryotherapy being my only source of relief, making the drive worthwhile for me. He was extremely rude and dismissive, offering no acknowledgment of what I had purchased and displaying no empathy or consideration for the members. He insisted that it was my word against a former employee of theirs and that he was unconcerned about what I had been promised. Therefore, I essentially wasted $440 as he showed no regard for the services I had paid for.
