I ’ve been going to this gym for years... I will not be renewing my membership... it’s absolutely disgusting.... The bathrooms are worse than the public facilities in multiple third world countries I’ve lived in... I have spoken up multiple times to staff, which there is always 2-4 standing around talking to each other or on their phones not doing anything... They did toss some air fresheners on top of the mold, urine, and feces. Literally mold, urine, feces, and blood throughout the facility. This facility is a Petri dish of Staph, E.coli, Mold, and Hepatitis... I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone unless they are looking to write a thesis in the field of microbiology.

The amenities at the gym are quite lovely, but I found myself having to fork over a $45 annual cleaning fee after just 2 months of membership. On top of that, there was a $97 bill to cancel my membership. Also, even though my first month was supposed to be only $1, I ended up paying full price for both months. The pricing structure at Crunch is truly exorbitant.
Kelly Wright (6/4/25, 5:33 PM):
I 'ave been a regular at this gym for almost two years now. The facilities are more than adequate for the price of the entry membership. With plenty of free-weights, machines, racks, and cardio equipment the options available to meet a variety of fitness goals are 'ere. The downstairs space is a huge plus for people looking for CrossFit-like training. I've read other reviews about cleanliness issues, and while it's never perfect, a lot of posts confuse the Black Eagle location with the State Street location. Yes, that one is a straight-up mess. Staff 'ere are some of the friendliest around and are 'appy to 'elp to the best of their ability. They are not aggressive about tryin' to sell you another product or membership, but if you do need something, there is almost always someone around to assist. Just about every time I go in I see personal trainers doing their thing with clients.
To improve, the owners of the Crunch locations should take a look at the wet spaces and locker rooms of their location. They need work.
Layla Collins (6/4/25, 10:58 AM):
The staff was quite lovely, but the issue lies in the fact that this establishment seems more focused on swindling individuals. Over the summer, they promoted a deal where you could join for only $1 and then pay an annual fee (like most gyms). After just a week, I opted to terminate my membership, only to be hit with another $75 annual fee and a $45 monthly fee due to their 30-day notice requirement. Their policies are simply absurd. I should have taken heed of the reviews, but I was curious to experience it firsthand.
Elizabeth Cruz (6/4/25, 2:10 AM):
This establishment is quite lovely. The team is extremely helpful and friendly. Brandon is an absolute champ, very knowledgeable about fitness, it's mind-blowing. I will certainly return.
Bryan Garcia (6/4/25, 12:02 AM):
The support staff was nowhere to be found. If you needed to speak with a manager, there was never one on the premises.
When attempting to cancel the service, the staff refused to accept the cancellation letter and failed to reach out to a manager. Despite sending an email to cancel my service, it was blatantly disregarded. Upon noticing the next month's charge on my account, I made a call and once again, there was no sign of a manager. I requested a call from the manager, which never materialized. The following day, another charge from Crunch appeared on my account. After contacting the establishment again, the manager mentioned that they prefer in-person cancellations over email ones. He assured me that he would initiate a review for my refund, which would take 2-5 business days.
Crunch Fitness - Boise Black Eagle really puts extra pressure on folks. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Ella Morgan (6/2/25, 11:55 AM):
A rather splendid spot to work on your gains, I must say. Typically not overly crowded around 4:30-6 during the week, and weekends are also quite manageable. What truly enhances the charm of this gym is the patrons who frequent it, always courteous and mindful of sharing equipment. The staff is generally quite pleasant as well. It would be rather spiffing to see the inclusion of a lying leg curl machine, though.
Cheryl Green (5/30/25, 6:01 AM):
Nate is a top-notch coach with a wealth of experience. I've worked with several trainers in the past who either pushed me too hard or didn't challenge me enough, but Nate consistently evaluates my progress and pushes me forward at a perfect pace. I wholeheartedly recommend him as your next trainer!
Kimberly Butler (5/28/25, 4:00 PM):
They fibbed about the pool. I was informed back in February when I joined that it was undergoing renovations and would be up and running in a few weeks. It's still closed, and no one can provide a concrete opening date. But the bigger headache here is on weekends, when it seems like there's always a no-show to open the gym at the scheduled time, and there's no way to reach out and have someone come open it. It really throws off your routine when this becomes a regular occurrence. On the bright side, the weekday morning staff has been fantastic lately, especially since the summer ended.
Gary Gutierrez (5/27/25, 9:42 PM):
There are two major problems with this gym. The first is the overall maintenance of the facility. The showers are filthy, the children's area is a breeding ground for germs, and the pool and jacuzzi have a significant buildup of scum.
Secondly, they have serious issues with billing. I purchased a three-month personal training package along with a gym membership. Two months after my gym membership expired, they began charging my debit card $400 per month for personal training again. Despite speaking with management and being assured it would be resolved, I continued to be charged. I made phone calls and visited in person while they claimed it was being "processed." In the end, they charged me for an additional two months. I had to file a claim with my bank because they refused to issue a refund.
Marilyn Flores (5/27/25, 8:45 AM):
The gym was alright, but in March I phoned up and terminated my membership because I wanted to head in a different direction. Just received a letter from a collections agency claiming I owe them more than $350!
My advice, NEVER consider doing business with this company! If you ever decide to leave, you'll end up regretting it!
Donna Hernandez (5/26/25, 6:37 AM):
Definitely my top spot for working out, mate! I've got Peak Plus and I absolutely love being able to make use of the tanning beds, hydro massage, and even bring a mate along. The best time for me is in the arvo, as I always get a warm welcome and a friendly 'hello' from the bloke at the front desk. I'd give it four stars because the locker rooms could use a good scrub and some of the gear is a bit old-fashioned. But I really dig the whole vibe and atmosphere of the joint. Cheers!
Arthur Reyes (5/24/25, 2:52 AM):
The new manager, TJ Adams, swiftly addressed a persistent issue with poise and professionalism. If you've encountered any problems with Crunch before, I highly recommend giving it another go. TJ is approachable and committed to resolving issues, allowing people to focus on enhancing their fitness. Thank you, TJ!
Angela Gray (5/23/25, 7:24 PM):
Absolutely fantastic, absolutely splendid! The manager at this gym is incredibly friendly and personable. I had some problems with my account that another Crunch gym manager wouldn't assist me with, and I got off the phone feeling so upset. I phoned Crunch- Boise Black Eagle, and the manager promptly helped me without any hesitation. I'll definitely be sticking with this gym for as long as I'm in Boise!
Sophia Martin (5/23/25, 2:42 PM):
Absolutely love this gym! Renee is absolutely fantastic! Top-notch service and they're always ready to lend a hand.
Gabriel Brown (5/23/25, 5:47 AM):
I absolutely adore the spirited front desk staff and their unfailing friendliness.
Layla Bennett (5/22/25, 4:23 PM):
I am quite chuffed that the chaps at the gym are not getting back to me about cancelling my membership. I've been trying since December 2021 to inform them that I want to cancel in April 2022. When I talk to the folks at the gym, they direct me to email their corporate to sort it out. I've sent them four emails with no response and even had a chat with the gym directly. I've never had this trouble before; I reckon there may have been a change in management. It's all rather unprofessional, if you ask me!
Steven Flores (5/22/25, 3:38 AM):
The management doesn't appear to be very reliable. They are not the kind of individuals I choose to conduct business with.
Jennifer Reynolds (5/20/25, 3:53 AM):
I initially began attending Crunch Fitness on my brother's suggestion. The staff is quite friendly and genuinely interested in assisting members in maximizing their workout time. They offer personalized training sessions and group fitness classes, as well as the option to exercise independently at your own pace. While I haven't delved much into crafting my own workout routine, the facility provides ample equipment and trainers for those keen on getting fit. Working out helps me clear both my mind and body of stress, enabling me to think more clearly and boosting my productivity. The membership fees are reasonable - I pay just under $40 per month for full access to the facility and its amenities every day of the week. I opt for towel service, so I never have to fret about forgetting or not having a towel; at just $5.00 per month, it's a small cost for this convenience. If you're seeking a fantastic place to reach your fitness goals, consider giving the Crunch Fitness team a shot - they might just help you succeed where others fall short.
Stephanie Thompson (5/15/25, 6:18 AM):
First visit after signing up and I absolutely adored it. Loads of weights and machines to pick from. The staff are helpful and respectful, much busier than I expected at 6am so I'll experiment with different times of day. Overall, very pleased with the facility.
