Fantastic gym! Loads of gear and fantastic staff. 10 out of 10, would absolutely recommend!!
Logan Simmons (6/2/25, 8:14 AM):
Fantastic gym and incredibly friendly staff. Daniel was extremely helpful. Wonderful atmosphere too.
Ryan Myers (6/2/25, 3:12 AM):
I would give the staff a solid 5-star rating, especially the trainers and Eli in particular, for their personalized approach, professionalism, and always offering positive reinforcement. However, the facility itself could use some attention. The temperature of the pool tends to fluctuate, the hot tub is often not warm enough, and the jets don't seem to function properly. The women's shower room feels quite outdated, and the restroom areas could definitely be cleaner. In all fairness, it does seem like they are making an effort to make improvements.
Jordan Jordan (5/29/25, 7:28 PM):
I've been a member at Crunch for about a month now and I must say, I am absolutely thrilled with the top-notch equipment, the spotless facilities, and the friendly staff. On top of that, I've had around 9 personal training sessions with Eli Medina, and I can already feel and see a dramatic improvement in my fitness. Cheers to Crunch for such a great experience!
Adam Brooks (5/26/25, 7:54 PM):
This gym provides a plethora of fixed equipment and ample space for functional workouts. I never encounter any delays in using the machines. I commend Crunch for their efforts in renovating and modernizing this older facility. While it's still a work in progress, the staff is diligently striving to create a welcoming and friendly environment at the gym. Kudos for ensuring it remains affordable too!
Jesse Diaz (5/24/25, 9:38 AM):
Great facility. Initially had a problem with an extra charge, but Brayden, the manager, put in the effort to secure me a refund and compensate for the inconvenience. I value the quality of customer service provided here!
Bobby Cruz (5/23/25, 10:48 AM):
Review based on the management staff and cancellation policy. I had to change gyms because I needed a 24-hour gym. Usually, I dread having to cancel a gym membership, there's always a catch or something like that. The Operations Manager there (also named Daniel) was very polite and took care of my situation without any hassle or the usual guilt trip associated with cancellations. I would recommend this Crunch to anyone based solely on this interaction alone.
Janet White (5/17/25, 9:02 PM):
The gym equipment works a treat, and it's bang up to date. It's got all the gear someone might need for a proper workout. The staff are dead lovely. My only gripe is just how minging this gym is. It seems like no one has ever given it a good clean. The loos and changing rooms are absolutely rotten. I've seen dust and grime in the same spots the whole time I've been going to this gym, which is about a month and a half now.
Carol Wilson (5/15/25, 5:09 AM):
The staff and the gym-goers are what elevate this place.
No hard feelings, but it's clear that the owners don't prioritize the décor or invest in maintenance. The steam room has never functioned properly and the pool is shut down indefinitely. However, I adore the team and the patrons! That's what keeps me returning.
Douglas Parker (5/13/25, 9:30 AM):
Fantastic gym. Bradyn, the General Manager, has been part of the team for years and has always looked after my family and me. It's also one of the few franchise gyms that offers a wide range of powerlifting equipment. Overall, a superb experience.
Russell Hayes (5/12/25, 12:30 AM):
This gym is an amazing deal, mate! The staff are all proper chill, and there's always loads of room to workout, even when it's peak time. And there's plenty of parking, too – never had an issue with that. The only thing is the toilets could be a bit cleaner, but for $30 a month, you really can't go wrong. Those negative reviewers have no clue how underrated this place is, I tell ya.
David Jenkins (5/11/25, 6:37 AM):
This is by far the finest spot for crunches; top-notch machines and an exceptional staff. Ricky truly brightened my day, he was incredibly accommodating. He had all the answers to my queries, offered fantastic workout pointers, and took the time to thoroughly detail the facilities and memberships for me.
Christina Peterson (5/7/25, 10:59 AM):
Crunch is absolutely brilliant and jam-packed with top-notch equipment. Currently, I'm training with Eli and he's been incredibly motivating, pushing me through some stellar workouts!
Alan Hamilton (5/6/25, 2:06 AM):
We arrived at the gym in November 2023 with the goal of improving our fitness, but we hit the jackpot when we met Casey. He's been our personal trainer from the get-go. He's incredibly knowledgeable and always spices things up to keep them exciting. He plays a huge role in keeping us dedicated to our workouts. Thanks to him, I've become a strength training enthusiast, something I never thought would happen.
Zoey Reed (5/4/25, 8:50 AM):
The gym 'as been under new ownership so they are tryin' to improve, but the locker room cleanliness is so bad that you'll want to shower at 'ome after usin' their moldy grimy showers. Management says they are losin' tons of members but are not interested in makin' the effort to improve the place. Locations in Caldwell are great, but the state street and eagle locations are sub par. Do not join crunch fitness for a long period of time because they will not let you cancel.
Christina Barnes (5/3/25, 6:42 PM):
For all of you who may have ceased frequenting this establishment due to issues with cleanliness, staff, management, and such, reconsider! The gym now boasts a fresh manager, and the beneficial alterations are unmistakable from the instant you step foot into this fitness hub. I urge you to grant it another opportunity - you shan't be let down. Astounding work!
Ethan Patterson (5/3/25, 8:56 AM):
In the Boise area, the locations no longer provide services for pool, hot tub, or steam room surfaces.
Juan Gonzales (4/29/25, 9:35 PM):
This gym is absolutely covered in dust and cobwebs. It's dirty, most employees who aren't trainers are just glued to their phones. However, the other gym members here are pretty cool.
Stephanie Reyes (4/28/25, 1:50 PM):
The staff is top-notch and the equipment is rock solid. I absolutely enjoy my workouts here. A perfect 10/10.
John Turner (4/27/25, 8:37 AM):
Ever since Crunch took control of the gym, I 'ave noticed a gradual decline in quality. The hiccup durin' the peak of the COVID epidemic was easily understood, but the standards 'ave only worsened. 'Ere be some of the issues I 'ad noticed that 'ave prompted me to bid farewell to Crunch:
*The gym ain't clean—the workout area is frequently dirty; ye can spot the same dust bunnies and dirt piles lingerin' in the same spots for weeks.
*The locker rooms be in dire need of restoration and maintenance—many locker doors be busted and fallin' apart, mold and mildew be present, and they are generally not tidy.
*The lavatories are often dirty and I 'ave encountered multiple instances where there be no loo paper and/or paper towels.
*The roof be leakin' and durin'/after rain storms, the workout area be set up with buckets to catch the rain leakin' through the roof.
*Often there be no towels available and a couple o' times, I was given a towel that be so worn and torn it looked like a rag from me garage.
*The 'ot tub 'as been in constant disrepair for months/years—it be often dirty, the water be only lukewarm, the jets don't work, or it just ain't open. Several times in the past year or two, I went to the gym specifically to relax in the 'ot tub after a bout of skiin', only to find that it be either shut or not workin' properly.
*On that note, the 'ot tub also caused a recent outbreak of Legionnaires' disease: Idaho Statesman, July 23, 2023.
*Some of the staff be very friendly, but some of the front desk staff be so distant and uninterested, that they act like your needs be an annoyance to their textin' or chats with the other staff.
*Twice in the past 3 months, I arrived at the gym at 5:15 a.m. (gym opens at 4:30 a.m.) only to find it not open (and these weren't holidays).
*Much of the equipment needs maintenance/repairs, most of the Swiss balls be often not fully inflated, and equipment be not put away orderly—even though I usually work out early in the mornin', I regularly 'ave to search for various pieces of equipment coz they be scattered all over the gym.
