Idaho Fitness Factory Franklin: A Comprehensive Review
Idaho Fitness Factory Franklin, located in Meridian, Idaho, has been a go-to fitness center for many local residents. This gym boasts a wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance, ensuring that everyone can benefit from its facilities. However, recent changes and mixed reviews have prompted many to evaluate their memberships.
Membership Costs and Planning
Over the years, many loyal members have expressed their concerns over the increased membership required fees. The jump from $18 to $35 has left some feeling disillusioned, particularly when the quality of equipment and service hasn't mirrored this rise. As one long-time member pointed out, the gym should align its offerings with the new pricing to justify the costs.
On the flip side, several patrons praise the gym's cleanliness and consistent accessibility. Being a 24/7 gym, it accommodates various schedules, appealing to those who prefer to work out late or early.
Accessibility and Facilities
The accessibility features at Idaho Fitness Factory Franklin are commendable. Members appreciate the wheelchair-accessible entrance, which makes it easier for all individuals to access the gym. The location itself is convenient, making it an attractive choice for fitness enthusiasts in the area.
While some members enjoy the inclusivity and cleanliness, others have reported overcrowding during peak hours. Many have noted that the gym can feel cramped, especially when popular equipment is in high demand.
Member Experience and Staff Interaction
Member feedback highlights a mixed experience regarding staff engagement. While some describe interactions as friendly and helpful, others have felt neglected or unwelcomed. For instance, issues with card scanners or equipment usage were often met with minimal assistance, leading to frustration among users.
It's worth noting that the administration has received criticism for not being responsive to member suggestions, particularly related to child safety in the kids' room and group class scheduling. This disconnect may influence members' decisions on whether to renew their membership.
Final Thoughts
Idaho Fitness Factory Franklin offers a range of features that cater to diverse fitness goals, including a well-maintained facility and 24-hour access. However, potential members should consider the recent feedback concerning price increases, staff interaction, and facility capacity before committing.
With its focus on accessibility and community, it remains a strong contender for those seeking a reliable workout space in Meridian, but improvements in member communication and facility management will be crucial for retaining current members and attracting new ones.

There are simply too many classes which occupy a considerable amount of the gym space, thus presenting challenges for ordinary members to exercise...
Gloria Sanchez (6/4/25, 2:35 AM):
Exercising at this gym feels like being in a low-security, white-collar prison. It's too crowded, and the equipment I want to use is usually occupied. I faced an issue getting inside as the card scanner didn't sync with my card, and now I must wait until my availability matches their staffed hours to resolve it. No staff member has acknowledged me since I joined, so being friendly is clearly not their top priority. If it weren't for the convenient location and affordable price, I would have switched to a different gym within the first week of my membership.

Top-notch gym, I must say! The gear is splendid, the crew is top-notch, and the fellow members are stellar. Open round the clock, wallet-friendly, and conveniently located! I'd wholeheartedly recommend this gym to anyone!!
Terry Phillips (6/1/25, 5:58 PM):
This gym is a delightful spot to exercise. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the equipment is modern, and there is rarely a crowd. The facilities are kept clean and organized, and the other gym members are all fantastic. Five stars for a five-star experience.
Elizabeth Miller (6/1/25, 10:13 AM):
I've been at this gym for more than 3 years now. I initially joined while prepping for half marathons. It's a fantastic gym to pop in, get your workout in, and head home for my hectic days. But, I've also enjoyed taking Piyo, Zumba, and recently a women's weightlifting class. The fact that it's open 24 hours allows me to go early in the morning before my husband heads to work. The staff is incredible. I wholeheartedly endorse this gym.
Heather Jones (5/31/25, 9:16 PM):
Top-notch local gym - pristine equipment and never too crowded to smash out a full workout without interruptions. Prices are also quite fair.
Eugene Brooks (5/28/25, 12:58 PM):
It has always been wonderful for my family, I must say.
Raymond Hayes (5/28/25, 10:28 AM):
I absolutely adore Idaho Fitness Factory. I was previously a member at a larger gym, where I always felt like it was too pricey, but this gym is quite affordable and incredibly welcoming! I highly recommend this gym if you're searching for a place where the staff truly cares about you, top-notch equipment, and, naturally, 24-hour access! And as an added bonus, their rates are budget-friendly as well!
James Barnes (5/26/25, 7:43 AM):
An incredibly reasonable rate with a spotless facility! Getting signed up is a breeze and there's no contract required!
Grace Ortiz (5/25/25, 9:26 PM):
I popped in from outta town and was lookin' for a gym to get my sweat on for the week. The folks there were right friendly and bent over backwards to help me out. They made sure to keep the gym spick and span, which I thought was top-notch. It wasn't ever too crowded, and the atmosphere was spot on. I'd absolutely give it a thumbs up and suggest it to others.
Roy Ramos (5/24/25, 10:42 PM):
I am absolutely chuffed that I began frequenting this gym. There's simply no excuse for not finding time to go, as it's open 24/7 (yes, even on snowy days!!). The staff are ever so helpful and there's never a lengthy wait to use the equipment. Cheers!
Andrea Anderson (5/24/25, 10:12 PM):
Fantastic spot to get your sweat on.
Timothy Ramos (5/24/25, 5:24 AM):
One of the best things about IFF is the atmosphere. Every time I visit, I can count on receiving an excellent workout. There is never a wait for any of the machines, and it is open 24 hours a day, giving you no excuse not to go. The staff is also incredibly kind and helpful! Recently, the Franklin location welcomed a new manager named Kelsey. There could not have been a better choice for the position. Kelsey is exceedingly pleasant and always in high spirits. Assisting in her training is Kumari from the Fairview location. Kumari is just as amiable as Kelsey and always greets everyone with a smile. I recommend IFF to all my acquaintances.
Nicholas Allen (5/22/25, 1:37 AM):
I always enjoyed visiting this gym, the location is really convenient. It seemed to have everything I needed in a gym, but that all changed today when I was trying to get a new access card. I tried to get the attention of the staff so they could let me in, but instead, the person just sat there and gestured for me to use the other door with an irritated expression. Instead of getting up and doing his job with a smile, he just remained seated. Not great customer service at all. I don't feel welcome at this gym anymore. I will be canceling my membership soon.
Charles Myers (5/16/25, 8:21 AM):
Review revised, most of the machines are new, but there are still a few treadmills that have been out of service for several months. I do wish this gym had a sauna like the newest location they recently opened.
Lisa Cruz (5/12/25, 6:40 AM):
A handy spot to exercise that has all I require for my fitness ambitions, and the variety of TV channels enhances the overall experience.
Charles Walker (5/12/25, 4:43 AM):
Absolutely adore the gym, fantastic value for money and the staff are top-notch!
Brenda Reed (5/11/25, 6:43 AM):
The staff 're always friendly and helpful, mate! It's a smashing value for a low cost, innit? They 'ave all the equipment I need, and I fancy that their vending machines 'ave me favorite protein bars, cheers!
Larry Myers (5/9/25, 2:53 AM):
I 'ave been a member at this gym since it opened. The gym is conveniently located and being a 24/7 gym, times are fantastic. The gym is clean and the staff is friendly. The reason for the 1 star rating is due to the fact that management does not listen to members. Group classes are always changin' and takin' up the group fitness room even when there are only a few attendees. This causes problems for members wantin' to work out in the group room. Also, there is no monitorin' system for the kids room. I am not comfortable leavin' my child in there alone or with other children and have asked for a simple camera system to be installed so that I can monitor my child on the TVs while in the weight room. I was given an arbitrary answer and no response after a single follow-up email. I have a multiple membership account at this gym and have referred numerous people there. I am goin' to be takin' a look at the new YMCA in Meridian due to the fact that I am not bein' listened to or taken seriously. I am a business professional and understand the needs and wants of members, and I do not think a camera system it's too much to ask for and worth a follow up email.
Thanks for the quick reply. I would say that your group class times change and they are not always posted. Sometimes there are two to three people in a group class with 'alf a dozen members shoved into the small room tryin' to work out. That's a problem. The other thin' is I would like to know is when and 'ow you talked with your members regardin' child monitorin' as I am a longtime member who brings in a child and I was never consulted regardin' this nor 'ave I ever seen anythin' posted posin' the question. I would think child safety would be of the utmost importance. Even if there is a camera system in the room now, staff is not always at their desk as they 'ave other tasks throughout the day. The only benefit to this would be if somethin' did happen you could go back and see if there was an issue, but this is reactive and not proactive.
Katherine Hill (5/2/25, 5:26 PM):
I absolutely love this gym because there's never a queue for using the equipment, it's open 24/7, and the price is unbeatable!
