Teresa Torres (5/7/25, 12:16 PM):
I had no problems with this establishment until I decided to terminate my membership. The requirement to visit in person to cancel during the manager's availability hours was quite inconvenient. Additionally, the implementation of a 30-day notification policy means I am obligated to make an extra payment for another month. These practices seem somewhat deceitful and grasping, designed to retain customers and extract additional funds from them.
William Rogers (5/7/25, 2:44 AM):
As a member for over six months now, I believe I can provide some insight into my experience at the gym. I have rated it 3 stars (though I lean towards 2.5) due to my interactions with the staff, which have been less than satisfactory, particularly during last night's incident.

Pros: The gym boasts excellent facilities, a well-maintained changing room, and provides towels upfront.
Cons: The staff, especially those at the front desk, can be territorial and aggressive. Management seems unresponsive to requests like changing the TV channel (sports on Sundays/Saturdays instead of Antique Roadshow), and the rules regarding bringing guests and guest passes are unclear. Additionally, scheduling personal training sessions can be challenging.

I would suggest refraining from bringing guests here, as dealing with the staff, particularly at the front desk, can be off-putting. Interactions often feel like interrogations or confrontations, which can be embarrassing for members. I personally won't be inviting any more guests. Furthermore, don't expect the staff to accommodate requests like changing the TV channel; they often cite "management decisions."

Although I was scheduled for a complimentary personal training session upon joining, I missed it due to a scheduling mix-up. Despite it being only three weeks out, no one followed up or reminded me about it. However, I wasn't keen on the service, so it didn't affect me much.

In conclusion, the gym offers great facilities. If you can limit your interactions with the staff, you'll likely enjoy your time there more.
Rachel Nelson (5/5/25, 5:32 PM):
I've been coming to this gym for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. The staff here are incredibly friendly and always willing to lend a hand.
Ralph Barnes (5/4/25, 10:21 AM):
This gym is always bustling, especially during peak hours like most gyms. The equipment here is quite modern, and the space is generally kept tidy. Members are good about returning weights to their proper places.

Located near UMD, this spot sees a lot of college students. If that's not your scene, you might want to try another gym.

One area for improvement is customer service. The staff can come across as a bit detached and unengaging, aside from the initial sign-up process. (Many of them are students themselves.) However, overall, it's a solid gym.

To the management: A new gym is set to open nearby soon, and I expect many will switch over once it does. It's crucial to make some changes now to prevent a drop in membership numbers.
Willie Lee (4/27/25, 10:51 PM):
Top-notch gym! The staff here are absolutely fantastic. I'd give it six stars if I could, mate.
Justin Rodriguez (4/24/25, 6:17 PM):
Had a smashing time at the gym, I must say. It's spick and span, smashing atmosphere, music isn't blaring, and they've got top-notch equipment. The staff is still getting things sorted, but they're just so jolly and obliging. Sean, the trainer, is top-notch as well. Any hiccups or worries you have, he sorts them out straight away. Delighted I switched over.
Jean Cook (4/24/25, 11:13 AM):
Spotless and fully equipped. Great ambiance. Welcoming and knowledgeable team. Immaculate changing rooms and workout area. Rachel assisted me with my membership sign-up and was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.
Susan Clark (4/24/25, 1:42 AM):
I attempted to cancel my gym membership back in March. The manager informed me that he would place a 6-month hold on my account, after which I could cancel without any fees. Now that the hold has expired, my card has been charged for membership fees. Despite what the previous manager said, Megan mentioned that I will be charged again. I have not visited the gym since March, and they refuse to provide a refund based on the previous agreement. Their lack of integrity is disappointing, and I advise against joining this gym. If you need to cancel, make sure to cancel your membership completely.
Joe Reyes (4/22/25, 6:37 PM):
Ever since reading about issues with canceling memberships, I thought I'd share my experience from a few years back:

This gym used to be my spot when I was in College Park. Everything was top-notch - equipment, locker rooms, and the staff. Sure, there were some folks who hogged the machines, but I don't blame the staff for that.

When I moved to a new city, I swung by and filled out a cancellation form. Following their protocol, a manager oversaw the process. I completed the form and was assured that I had done everything necessary, especially since I was moving out of state in just 2 days.

Fast forward to six months later, and I noticed they were charging my account again. After reaching out to customer service, turns out they had put my membership on hold instead of cancelling it. MY CANCELLATION REQUEST WASN'T ON FILE. To top it off, I was hit with an unexpected cancellation fee that I hadn't been informed about initially.

I guess it's on me for assuming folks would do their jobs properly.
