VASA Fitness in Westminster, Colorado: An In-depth Review

VASA Fitness in Westminster, Colorado, offers a unique atmosphere designed to cater to a diverse range of fitness enthusiasts. With facilities including basketball courts, swimming pools, and various amenities, it stands out as a popular choice among gym-goers.

The Atmosphere

The atmosphere at VASA Fitness is generally welcoming, with friendly staff members greeting you upon entering. Many reviews highlight the upbeat environment that encourages a positive workout experience. The gym's spacious layout allows for comfortable movement, even during peak hours when it can become crowded.

Amenities That Enhance Your Experience

VASA Fitness provides various amenities to ensure all members have access to the tools they need for a great workout. Key features include: - Sauna and steam room for post-workout relaxation. - Swimming pool for those who enjoy aquatic exercise. - Basketball court for recreational activities. - Shower facilities available after workouts, although cleanliness has been a point of concern for some members. Many users appreciate the wide range of machines and equipment. However, reports indicate that some essential equipment often remains out of service for extended periods, which hinders members' ability to track their fitness progress.

Accessibility Features

The gym is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and wheelchair-accessible car park, demonstrating an effort to be inclusive for all members. However, there have been critiques regarding the overall maintenance of these features, which can affect user experience.

Challenges in Planning and Maintenance

While VASA Fitness has a lot to offer, several reviews detail ongoing issues related to maintenance and cleanliness: - Locker rooms consistently receive negative feedback regarding odor and sanitation. Many members report that the bathrooms require more attention and upkeep. - Reports of broken or out-of-service showers and toilets have led to frustrations among users, with some stating that key amenities have been non-operational for weeks. - Issues with repairs being neglected highlight a significant gap in management's attention to the facility's needs.

Membership and Pricing

A membership is required to access VASA Fitness facilities. While the pricing is competitive, some members have expressed dissatisfaction with hidden fees and billing practices, particularly concerning membership cancellation. Reviews suggest potential users investigate these policies before committing.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, VASA Fitness in Westminster is a gym with significant potential, offering extensive amenities and a positive atmosphere. However, ongoing maintenance issues and concerns about cleanliness must be addressed to enhance the overall member experience. As the gym continues to evolve, members hope for improvements that will solidify VASA as a top fitness destination.

"I am absolutely enamored with the VASA location on Federal Blvd.

The establishment exudes cleanliness and order, providing all the necessary elements for a fantastic workout experience. They offer a plethora of fitness machines, Studio Red HIIT workout classes, as well as yoga and Studio Flow classes. The personnel are amiable and always make an effort to greet you warmly and inquire about your needs.

However, the true standout is my personal trainer, Jaime. Jaime is undeniably incredible – he possesses a wealth of knowledge, is endlessly motivating, and displays an unwavering commitment to assisting me in achieving my fitness aspirations. Right from the beginning, Jaime grasped my requirements and devised a tailored plan to keep me on course. During each session, he pushes me to give my utmost effort while maintaining an enjoyable and supportive atmosphere. Thanks to his guidance and expertise, I have been able to maintain consistency, feel stronger, and have gained confidence in my fitness journey.

I wholeheartedly endorse both VASA and Jaime to all those who are dedicated to their health and fitness goals!"

This specific Vasa branch just seems to be on a downward spiral. One would assume they'd make an effort to upkeep the gear or even the facilities like the restrooms & pool area, but it just keeps deteriorating. There's also a rather foul sewer stench lingering for weeks now, making the entire gym reek terribly! I highly suggest opting for a different Vasa location than this one. Moreover, their employee turnover rate is incredibly high for some reason.
Johnny Wright (6/2/25, 7:01 PM):
I've embarked on my gym journey with Greg, and it's been an absolute blast! I truly appreciate his patience, the thorough explanation of exercises, and the warm reception I receive. The front staff, Z, and the trainers are always so welcoming every time I come in for a workout at this facility!
Kevin Barnes (6/2/25, 3:27 AM):
I am quite a fan of Vasa's other locations in the area, but I make an effort to steer clear of this particular one. The weights are frequently left out of place and the attachments are scattered across the floor near the cable section. The men's locker room is untidy, with graffiti on the walls and showers that are either devoid of hooks for towels or lacking shower valves altogether, not to mention those that are already closed off.
Dennis Taylor (6/2/25, 2:35 AM):
Jam-packed with people all day, every day, you'll find yourself constantly waiting for a machine to free up for what seems like eternity. Unless you plan on visiting exclusively on Saturday evenings, prepare to spend more time waiting than actually working out. I've witnessed numerous individuals come in with the intention of exercising, only to end up just sitting on a machine, headphones on, the entire time. This wouldn't be an issue if there were other machines available to use. The staff appear disinterested or downright rude most of the time. To top it off, I was charged for an extra month after canceling my membership following the agreed-upon 6-month plan. Vasa will drain both your time and money for a gym experience that simply isn't worth it. Given these circumstances, I have no intention of returning to any Vasa location in the future.
Barbara Graham (5/31/25, 9:52 PM):
Certainly one of the best-kept, spick and span VASA venues around, but the lockers could do with a tad more cleaning 🤢 showers are piping hot, yet lacking in space to keep your belongings dry as most hooks have disappeared. It gets quite packed nearly every day, but the atmosphere is welcoming. It appears to me that the pools, sauna, steam room, and machines are seldom closed for maintenance and seem to be kept up fairly well.
Lauren Watson (5/28/25, 3:55 PM):
Great gear and helpful staff with attractive membership prices, however, these positives result in an excessively packed gym. Be prepared to drive around the parking lot for 10 minutes before locating a space, then queuing for another 10 minutes to use a single machine that probably hasn't been cleaned. Vasa should consider putting a limit on memberships or increasing prices as this gym is currently impractical.
Jennifer Sanders (5/21/25, 6:33 PM):
Me and my 1 year old absolutely adore this gym! We visited a few different VASA locations before settling on this one permanently because of the daycare team, they are incredibly kind and caring towards my little one! I highly recommend it, 10/10!!
Isabella Garcia (5/20/25, 5:00 PM):
The equipment is forever on the fritz with a sign that reads "under repair," yet it remains in that state for weeks. They shut down the cycle room if there isn't a class happening, for no apparent reason. The gym is consistently jam-packed, and I swear not a single machine is available, so the fact that I can't even hop on a bike is beyond belief. I'll probably end up cancelling my membership because I'm paying for a gym I can't even utilize. Not to mention, it's a mess, the staff is unhelpful, and there's no parking to be found. Just an overall grimy atmosphere.
Donna Ramirez (5/20/25, 12:38 PM):
Vasa is absolutely brilliant! It's so reasonably priced and the location at Federal is stacked with stair masters! I adore making use of my guest passes to introduce my pals to Studio Red!
Eric Morris (5/19/25, 2:10 AM):
I 'ave been goin' to the Federal location for near three years and truly enjoy the Zumba and weight liftin' classes. The instructors are brilliant and props to Margie, Jared and Maria. We also enjoy seein' the general manager Mari because she is truly carin' and thoughtful.
Albert Morales (5/14/25, 4:03 PM):
I would strongly recommend this place. The equipment is consistently spotless and the vibe is top-notch. The General Manager, Mari, is warm and hospitable. She's always prompt in addressing any queries and delivers stellar customer service. Kiersten does a fantastic job leading the Studio Red HIIT classes. The only drawback is that there is a significant crowd during peak hours on Monday through Thursday evenings, so I suggest trying to visit outside of those times. Apart from that, I go 5 days a week and have a great time every visit.
Betty Torres (5/14/25, 4:46 AM):
This gym was quite splendid 2 years back, I must say. Though, at present, it has taken a turn for the worse. The men's locker room is in an appalling state. The lockers are decrepit with broken hinges, and the once pristine white shower floor has now turned a dismal shade of gray. The stench emanating from within resembles that of a sewer.
Russell Evans (5/12/25, 8:55 AM):
I relocated to this gym a couple of months ago and I must say it is the VASA to stick with. Always clean, machinery in good shape, not as crowded as the others, the main reason I switched to this one. And last but most important... the staff makes it more enjoyable, wonderful people and all of them are so kind and polite (even the kidCare team, which I utilize often). Great job guys! Keep up the good vibes!
Linda Wright (5/12/25, 3:00 AM):
It's a bustling spot. You have to queue for the machines. And when you're on a time crunch, it's frustrating. This usually happens from 4 pm to 7 pm. The maintenance is behind schedule. The water massage chairs are always out of order. They recently revamped their membership plans. There are no more buddy passes that you can pay extra for. If you had them and upgraded to the Premium Red membership, you lose your previous benefits, and there's no buddy pass included as promised. They say you can bring two people along only once a month. I wouldn't have upgraded if I had known. I would have stuck with my much cheaper membership and paid for the buddy pass as before because I had a special rate as an existing member. They claim they sent out notifications and posted notices in the gym. I never saw either of them.
Juan Richardson (5/10/25, 10:46 PM):
Zasha is fabulous! She possesses exceptional customer service skills and consistently ensures that checking into the gym is a delightful experience! You’ve got a dedicated worker there! As the opener, I never have to fret about the gym opening on time! 😊
Aaron Sullivan (5/10/25, 2:56 AM):
It's a bit odd that there's always broken equipment around—especially in the hydro massage room. I'm contemplating moving my home gym to another location because I can't rely on the equipment to be functioning smoothly or trust the staff to assist when things go awry.
Deborah Miller (5/9/25, 11:31 AM):
KIDS CARE!! It's quite a challenge to make it to the gym, especially with children on school break. It can be even tougher to motivate yourself to go. Having the option of kids care really helps make it easier to get there. The kids care team is fantastic and very kind to my girls. They are very attentive with the children and do fun art projects with them. I really value having kids care available at Vasa. Thank you all!
Anna Hughes (5/7/25, 4:26 AM):
The management at this place is absolutely rubbish! If you're thinking about signing up at a gym, just do it online with a prepaid credit card. That way, they won't be able to charge you if you decide to cancel your membership. If they try to send your account to collections, dispute it and make sure you have evidence like an email or recorded phone call where you clearly told them to stop the payments. No need to stress over it then!
Jack Green (5/4/25, 9:40 AM):
Cancellation fees and making you pay for an additional month on top of the fee for leaving. That's why I shan't be joining this gym or any gym that engages in such tomfoolery again.
