The staff at this rock climbing gym is absolutely fantastic, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. With an abundance of rope walls, boulder problems, and a 65ft lead wall, it caters to climbers of all levels. From children and beginners to seasoned climbers tackling the towering lead wall, there's something for everyone here. What sets this gym apart is its outdoor top rope problems, a unique feature in the area.

Moreover, the staff organizes various activities, climbing classes, and events for members, including USA Climbing competitions. As a newbie climber in the summer of 2022, I've made significant progress thanks to the array of classes available and the invaluable guidance from staff, coaches, and fellow climbers. The "Transition to Outdoors" and "Multi-pitch" classes were especially beneficial, equipping me with essential skills for outdoor climbing that have boosted my confidence.

If you're looking for a supportive environment to hone your climbing skills, this gym is a must-visit.

We absolutely adore this climbing gym! Whenever the grandkids visit, we always bring them here and they absolutely adore it even more. It offers fantastic value for money and provides a wonderful activity for the kids. Even the 3-year-olds agree, let's head to the climbing gym!

Me and my son popped into Vertical View today, and let me tell ya, what a bloody brilliant place! The staff were proper polite and helpful. The facility is spot on and you can tell they take cleanliness seriously. A+++ Cheers for the cracking day with my son...and thanks for being patient with us oldies while showing us the ropes on these adventurous activities!!!

Popped by this joint yesterday with my bird for a belay sesh and had an absolute blast! Our instructor, Felicia, was a gem, mate. She was dead patient with us newbies, like. It took us a couple goes to get the knots right and make sure we were on point, but she kept us motivated and boosted our confidence, even though neither of us had a clue about climbing. The missus and I can't stop gabbing about how keen we are to return. Top-notch experience!
Amanda Rivera (5/13/25, 3:54 PM):
I absolutely adore this spot!! Despite my lack of experience, it's completely captivating. Cayden is hands down the top employee there. He's incredibly informed, patient, enjoyable to collaborate with, and has a knack for making you feel like you're his top priority. Hold onto that one, for sure.
Nicholas Reyes (5/11/25, 2:33 AM):
This climbing gym is absolutely brilliant and the folks working there are just so friendly!
Brenda White (5/10/25, 6:08 AM):
I fancied Vertical View climbing gym quite a bit. It boasts an Olympic Level speed wall, a towering sport wall, and a splendid bouldering area. I've frequented numerous gyms in my day, and this one truly stands out as one of the finest (perhaps even the best gym I've visited in the USA). Hailing from Portland, Oregon, we occasionally make the trek to Boise solely for Vertical View. Speed climbing tickles my fancy, and this is one of the very few 15-meter walls in Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, and Washington (and likely beyond). The sport walls are impressively high and well-maintained, suitable for both leading and top rope climbing. The bouldering area also holds a special place in my heart due to its ample wall space. Despite the limited area they had to work with, they truly maximized its potential. The setters deserve major kudos for the diverse range of routes they offer. During my visit, they had everything from a VB to V9 and 5.4 to 5.14a. Another standout feature is the spectator area at Vertical View, which provides a fantastic vantage point to observe almost all the climbing action from a single spot. Additionally, they offer amenities that set them apart from most climbing gyms, such as conference rooms, a cozy lounge, yoga studios, and a fitness/workout area. All in all, it's a fantastic spot. I wholeheartedly endorse Vertical View climbing gym.
Evelyn Adams (5/10/25, 3:19 AM):
What a splendid climbing gym! The moment I stepped foot inside, my jaw just about hit the floor! The vast array of climbing walls and facilities surpasses any gym I’ve experienced before. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the premises were impeccably maintained. My partner and I opted to purchase a punch pass, despite not residing in the vicinity. We've made a pact to return this way come springtime. If you have yet to visit this climbing gym, hesitate no more... simply seize the opportunity!
Sarah Gray (5/8/25, 10:18 PM):
What a splendid QE event!! Thank you ever so much for hosting.
Keith Parker (5/7/25, 9:33 AM):
This place is like my sanctuary and second abode! Some of the finest route setters in the game, and they switch up the routes often. The facility is massive, with a top-notch gym, plus yoga and fitness classes. Everyone there is incredibly hospitable, and if you're in need of a belay buddy, you can just stroll up to a total stranger and voilà, a new mate. The reception team is exceptionally warm and inviting – they make an effort to remember your name and really get to know you, particularly Becca, Kyle, and Kaden.
Debra Ortiz (5/4/25, 10:43 PM):
I 'ad a proper good time visitin' from California. The staff was super friendly and the owner is a top bloke. It was a pleasure meetin' 'im and congrats to 'im on hostin' the upcomin' competitions. I can’t wait to watch 'em online.

The lead wall was proper tough. It’s taller than our 55’ walls at alpine in Ripon CA. The lead walls were definitely 'arder than our settin'. It’s anecdotal with me only climbin' 3 total. I also managed to climb 2 top ropes above my grade. I topped the 11c and 11d but also didn’t flash any routes either. I tried to send the 11a lead which was my 3rd climb and failed. I typically send over 50% of 5.11b at my gym and safe to say I’ll send 11a.

The route settin' was really fun. The verity in the type of 'olds was the best part. There was difficult crux moves in the 11b and 11d I climbed. I was on the 11b for 20 minutes.

Definitely glad I stopped in with the fam to stomp around in another gym, my first outside of my home gym.

Thanks for 'avin us!
Cynthia Harris (5/3/25, 5:01 PM):
This climbing gym is absolutely splendid, I must say. It offers a comprehensive range of amenities, from bouldering to lead climbing, fitness classes, and weight training. The staff is remarkably amiable as well! And the atmosphere is incredibly inclusive, regardless of your level of experience. Many climbing gyms can have a somewhat elitist vibe, especially for first-timers. However, this one boasts numerous individuals keen on guiding and assisting you in honing your skills.
Angela Richardson (5/3/25, 10:49 AM):
I mentioned the notion of placing a Wideboyz-style grip on one of the auto-belays, and when I returned, JRC had already implemented it! And on a fantastic route too. Even the small .8 nearby is quite cool. I'm pushing my climbing limits like never before. Huge thanks to JRC and VV, absolutely loving this gym!
Keith Richardson (5/3/25, 8:17 AM):
My daughter and son-in-law became engaged at this establishment. Their one year anniversary is today, so I popped in to purchase a gift card for them. A truly fantastic venue, with front desk staff that were absolutely amazing!! They were friendly, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. I truly value exceptional customer service.
Katherine Henderson (5/1/25, 7:28 PM):
This rock climbing gym is absolutely smashing! The vibes inside are just brilliant, so light and airy. The management and staff are top-notch, they truly look out for all the folks who pop in. The bouldering, top roping, and lead climbs are spot on, with some really tall routes to tackle. The atmosphere is simply fantastic! Cheers!
Linda Thomas (4/30/25, 3:19 PM):
Vertical View is an absolutely brilliant climbing gym. They've got the tallest climbing walls in the region and the routes are always so inventive. I mostly boulder and I love the challenge that each new problem provides. The routes tend to be quite tough, but I really relish the challenge and the creativity that's on show on the walls. It's one of the few climbing gyms I've come across that sets problems above V9; the highest grade I've consistently seen is V13! The staff are friendly, and the climbing community here is incredibly welcoming. Overall, it's my top climbing gym in the Valley!
Jack Thomas (4/29/25, 3:04 PM):
We 'ad such a jolly good time today at Vertical View. Blake was particularly helpful, going above and beyond to welcome a couple of beginners to the sport. Cheers for all the information and for 'elpin' us feel right at 'ome on the walls :)
Jessica Henderson (4/28/25, 2:15 PM):
We 'ad our company Christmas party at Vertical View and it was a huge hit with our employees! The staff were brilliant! Katie sorted all the details. We 'ad about 80 people who fit comfortably on the second floor. The caterer was very thankful for the conveniently located elevator. The price was great to 'ave such an awesome venue that included belay training and climbing gear for everyone at the party that fancied a climb (about 35 of the 80). Those that did not fancy a climb 'ad a cracking time spectating and visiting with each other. We 'ave been 'olding Christmas parties for 30 years and this will go down as the favourite. We will be there again next year (probably ought to get that on their calendar now!)
Beverly Myers (4/27/25, 4:23 PM):
Mark's bouldering league was absolutely brilliant! The community here is extremely welcoming too. It's a fantastic spot, largely thanks to Mark.
Daisy Garcia (4/25/25, 9:17 PM):
The staff were super chill yet incredibly knowledgeable. I absolutely adore how this place incorporates yoga studios alongside the gym. Even if you don't commit to a membership, a day pass is definitely worthwhile. I spent the whole day climbing, bouldering, and hitting the gym - never a dull moment, definitely got my money's worth! 🧗🏼‍♀️ ...
