I've been a member since 2009. There are some top-notch classes included in the membership. It's become a crucial part of my weekday regimen.
When one considers quality, it encompasses a staff that is caring, friendly, well-informed, professional, and maintains a clean environment while prioritizing health concerns. I only hope that I could sustainably afford it in the long run, but perhaps you can!
I've been a member of Onelife Fitness since 2020, and I've been doing personal training at the Rockville location. The company is fantastic and very responsive. However, when the Germantown location opened, I decided to switch my workouts there because it's closer. I hadn't experienced any issues until today (7/8/22) when I scanned my card and was told I didn't have access to that location. The front desk employee had a rather abrasive tone and didn't really engage in a conversation; he simply handed me a member services card and told me to call them to sort it out. This caught me off guard because with the new location, I'd expect some members from Rockville needing clarification on access.
After speaking with Sherry from member services, she helped me resolve the issue easily by updating my bank information on file. It seems like management could benefit from coaching their employees on proper customer etiquette.
I must say, this gym is absolutely fantastic. It truly feels like a second home to me. The trainers, instructors, and staff are all top-notch. The facility is always spotless and well-maintained. I've been a member at other gyms in the past, but none can compare to the experience I have at ACAC. I feel genuinely welcomed, valued, and supported here.✌🏾😬 ...
This gym is absolutely brilliant! I adore visiting it because the atmosphere is top-notch. They have all the facilities you could need, and the place is spotless, with a super friendly and helpful staff.
Dawn is a brilliant trainer! I've shed 40 lbs training with her and I keep coming back for more. Her Saturday bootcamp at 8 am is a must-try, don't miss out!
This gym may be on the smaller side, but it truly delivers a lot. You'll find all your necessary weights and machines, as well as a fantastic pool for swimming laps. Situated in the convenient location of Germantown, it's easily accessible for all.
Not a bad gym at all, decently clean and well looked after. I'd give it 4 stars if it weren't for how packed it gets during the busy hours. The staff, however, are quite friendly!
The folks at this gym are absolutely fantastic! I've been coming here for my allergy shots for more than three years now, and I must say, they have always been incredibly courteous and kind. Every single person on the team exudes professionalism and a strong work ethic.
The folks at acac Germantown are super friendly, personable, and always willing to lend a hand. The gym is consistently spotless, with everyone wearing their masks and practicing social distancing. The equipment is well-maintained and the variety is top-notch.
I've popped into this gym a few times while staying with the in-laws. The crew running the place were top-notch every visit. They've beefed up the weight room, adding some squat racks and deadlift platforms -- not something you come across often in regular gyms. Definitely my spot when I'm around Germantown.
It's got all the essential gear you need, but it's a bit short on extra perks and services compared to some of the other Onelife Fitness spots at the same price point.
This establishment has the potential to be top-notch, however, when compared to other Onelife Fitness gyms, this location falls short in various aspects. One of the key components of any gym is the free weight section. Regrettably, their free weight area seems better suited for a spacious home gym rather than a public facility. Since the opening of this location, it has become excessively crowded during peak hours, making it challenging for me to access the equipment. With only one piece of each equipment in the free weight area, finding what you need during busy times can be quite a feat.
To illustrate, there is a limited selection of free-weight equipment, the space allocated to free weights is small, there is an imbalance with too much aerobic equipment in comparison to anaerobic options, and some machines are outdated. Additionally, the inclusion of basketball and racquetball courts takes up a considerable portion of space in the free weight room.
I am hopeful that a complete renovation and expansion of the area will be undertaken.
Update:
A recent renovation of the gym has been completed. Overall, there has been a considerable improvement from the previous setup. The removal of the basketball court has allowed for more space in the free weight area, and they have now added several squat racks and bench press machines.
While it can still get quite crowded, especially with new members joining, the situation is not as dire as before. It would be beneficial to see the addition of plate-loaded machines in the future.
I recently joined this local gym, and let me tell you, it's a hidden gem. With a pool and sauna available, it's the perfect place to unwind after a workout. The locker rooms have just been renovated, giving them a modern touch. But let me tell you about the showers - each one has its own unique personality. You have to choose wisely, or you might end up with a scalding hot surprise!
The gym equipment is top-notch and always up to date. I usually hit the gym between 10am and 1pm, and I never have to wait long to use the bench press. However, the treadmills can get pretty busy on weekends, so be prepared to wait for your turn.
Located on the ground level of a medical office building, this gym is super convenient. I used to attend physical therapy in the same building, so having the gym right there was a huge plus. They even offer towel service for an additional $10 a month if you forget to bring your own. Overall, I highly recommend this gym for anyone looking for a clean and well-equipped fitness facility.
I do declare, this old antiquated gym deserves not a single star in my humble opinion. Dreadful customer service, absolutely appalling.
This gym has got all the gear you need, a fab pool, and offers a few classes. My favorite part is the kids zone - perfect for dropping off my little one for a bit. It's not super fancy, but it does the trick.
I've visited this establishment several times and thought I'd share my thoughts. Here are the advantages and disadvantages.
I'd rate it 4 stars for the following reasons:
1. The staff and employees here are top-notch! They're friendly and always willing to assist.
2. The facility is impeccably clean, and you hardly ever encounter any faulty equipment.
3. While the equipment isn't the absolute best, it's certainly not the worst I've come across in my extensive gym-hopping adventures. They have your standard bench press, dumbbells, and machines.
4. Despite its small size, this place has plenty to offer! There's a functional pool, a steam room, and a sauna – a real treat as many gyms only feature saunas.
I'm deducting one star due to poor lighting – better illumination would vastly improve the ambiance. Another reason for the deduction is the removal of the basketball court and racketball to expand the gym. While expansion is positive, some individuals join gyms solely for basketball, so this might be a drawback for them.
Overall, I'd recommend this gym. As for the membership costs, I believe it's around $38-39 per month, but it's best to confirm with the staff there.
The customer service desk personnel and the phone customer support are rubbish!! I was given the runaround when trying to cancel my membership! I had to resort to emailing in order to finally cancel. Dreadful experience!!
Lovely gym with top-notch equipment and facilities for a solid workout! No complaints here at all.
Latest update on 11/24:
Brand new lockers installed in the gents' changing area, with more enhancements on the way! Cheers!
