A jolly good spot for newcomers, a splendidly affordable option compared to dearer gyms. The only real bother is the change from being open 24/7 to just 24/5. I used to relish popping into the gym after a hard day's work on the weekends, but now, as they shut up shop at 7 on Saturdays and Sundays, my weekend gym visits are no more. What a pity!

For the money, this place is brilliant. Machines that break are sorted out pretty rapidly. It's a spotless establishment and even during peak times, it's not too shabby.
Rachel Sanchez (5/22/25, 3:33 AM):
Fantastic crew, top-notch spot to exercise and have a fabulous hydro massage and complete body enhancement.
Rachel Watson (5/21/25, 4:43 AM):
Thank you, Elma! 🌹

Having clean hot water showers is always crucial, and this PF locker room was one of the cleanest I've ever seen. The staff and members were all kind and friendly.

Elma truly went above and beyond to assist me.
Allison Ortiz (5/20/25, 11:54 PM):
For me mates out there on the road, the showers at this place are decent... IF you can handle a bit of mold and mildew, you know? The hot water runs out pretty quick, only lasts a couple of minutes. They really need to sort out that water heater situation. Cheers!

Becoming the filthest gym in Boise. The machiness are completely covered in dust, the locker rooms and bathrooms are always filled with trash on the floor. I haven't seen any employees cleaning ANY of the equipment. Even the front doors and windows where you come in are absolutely DISGUSTING and have been that way for weeks; it's as if none of the employees even notice them! Today, I had to walk up to the counter and ask for help. There were 2 guys standing back there on their phones, not even bothering to look up! I had to grab their attention, and they seemed as if they had more important things to do on their phones. Goodness gracious.

The Boise location on Milwaukee never seems to have any purple Tootsie Rolls! It's been like this for months now!
Andrew Rivera (5/19/25, 12:30 AM):
The staff on weekend mornings at Planet Fitness are the most unfriendly and serious individuals I have ever encountered. They do not offer assistance and appear irritated if you approach them with any inquiries. I stopped greeting them a long time ago. There doesn't seem to be any cleaning taking place, and the machines are in desperate need of oiling. The maintenance is terrible and practically non-existent. I have traveled enough to understand how these gyms should be maintained, and Boise has certainly missed the mark.

Today is April 2nd, and now three hydro beds are out of order, with only two bikes available as the others have mysteriously disappeared. There's no room for debate - the situation continues to deteriorate.
Russell Taylor (5/19/25, 12:00 AM):
The staff is lovely and kind. However, the ladies' restroom does not seem to be cleaned regularly. Despite there being four employees at the counter, cleaning activities are seldom observed. The floors in the workout area are often dirty. I appreciate the convenient location and the quality of equipment. Nevertheless, a public facility ought to be cleaned on a daily basis.
Nicole Carter (5/17/25, 9:48 PM):
A huge shoutout to John, the weekday morning staff, for warmly welcoming everyone to the gym with a massive smile! He really makes you feel like part of the family! I've been going to this Planet Fitness for over a year now and it's a very welcoming, cozy, and tidy place to exercise. Highly recommended!

The Club Manager, whose name is Chance, was really rude to me when I brought my 9-year-old son to the gym because I couldn't leave him alone. I am aware of the Gym's insurance policy, and Axiom insurance is fine with my son being at the gym. However, Chance, the club manager, was very impolite and insisted that I leave and cancel my membership. This is the first time in my life that my son and I have been so disappointed by someone like Chance and his actions in not allowing me into the gym. I have been to Planet Fitness locations across the United States, and all others have allowed me and my son to enter. I had to bring my son with me as I could not leave him alone. If you ever see Chance, please let him know that his behavior is unacceptable. I will not be returning to this branch, and Chance should not have the opportunity to be a club manager. Chance is the most disrespectful club manager I have ever encountered in my entire life and experience at Planet Fitness.

I 'ave been frequenting this gym every day for the past 3 months and I absolutely adore it! The weekday AM crew brightens my day. They are truly delightful and always greet me with a jolly smile. That chap with the splendid mustache is particularly grand, always bustling about and ensuring the gym is spick and span! They all certainly deserve a commendation!
Amy Moore (5/11/25, 4:09 AM):
This PF is the best I've ever visited. The equipment is brand new and spotless. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The "Black Card" areas are spacious and high-quality. There's a fantastic stretching area and free weights, which not all PF gyms have. Overall, it creates a great gym environment.
Katherine Myers (5/9/25, 10:01 PM):
I 'aven't 'ad any issues wiv the actual work out facility, mate. The chaps at the front desk are friendly and 'elpful. But me issues are wiv the billing, innit. Recently got a call about me account bein' past due because me card was "declined," but I 'ad funds in me account well past the price of the annual fee, so that shouldn't 'ave been a problem. And when I checked me bank account, there wasn't even a charge or an attempt to charge me account, or there would be an invoice on me account. There wasn't, mate. So I go to cancel me membership because I don't want to 'ave those issues again, and I'm told that I 'ave to pay for another month of membership even though I 'aven't and will not use that month. If there's a deadline for canceling membership, that should be something that is disclosed upfront. I shouldn't be told the second I go to cancel, and it shouldn't be something that's written in fine print on the agreement. Integrity is a thing, mate. Not to mention they're essentially stealin' because I 'aven't used yer services and won't, and you're still takin' the money from me. Honestly, jus' disappointed that the reviews about PF were true. Didn't 'ave no problem payin' the annual fee or even really payin' the late fee, but payin' for another month is ridiculous, mate.
Christopher Hughes (5/9/25, 12:20 AM):
I have visited many Planets Fitness locations, but the one in Milwaukee stands out. It boasts a variety of top-notch equipment and is consistently clean. The showers are also kept in pristine condition. This gym is conveniently located near major streets and businesses. The manager here excels in customer service with a calm, problem-solving attitude. Though his name is a challenge to pronounce, I affectionately refer to him as the Viking - red-haired and sturdy.
Joshua Nguyen (5/8/25, 9:16 PM):
I'm not sure what's up with Josh on the night shift, but his attitude is really quite terrible. As someone working at the front desk of a gym, I was pretty taken aback by how rude the whole interaction was. He even rolled his eyes after everything was settled. On top of that, he overcharged me despite us using a black card and scanning it. Hopefully the management addresses this lack of customer service. He's constantly rude and glued to his phone. Not at all impressed.
Mia Gomez (5/8/25, 12:43 PM):
Lovely gym, indeed. Folks let you do your thing while getting a sweat on, and everyone is real friendly. The gym is quite tidy.

I've been popping in here for 'bout 6 months now, and for some reason, the past month has been a real struggle in the women's locker room. There's toilet paper strewn about, the toilets are covered in blood and poop (you'll see the same mess for well over a week), and the showers... oh my, they're full of hair clumps, toilet paper bits, just plain gross.

Today, a lady gave me a heads up as I was scouting out the showers, she told me she picked up a nasty case of athlete's foot from 'em. I can vouch for that, got it from those showers myself. The shower with the big hairball? Been like that for nearly 2 weeks. Lots of folk use the locker rooms, they need to be cleaned and disinfected far more often. We shouldn't be looking at the same filth for days on end.

Update: 1/2
Never cease to be amazed by the state of those showers. From the mold to the soap gunk, it's a breeding ground for bacteria. The gym itself is clean, locker rooms are decent, even the regular bathrooms ain’t too shabby. But those showers? They'll have the same mess for weeks before getting a wipe down. The one with the conditioner splattered on the wall? Been like that for a whole week and a half. And now, they threw in some toilet paper for good measure. The light in one shower has been out for at least a month.

Those showers gotta get a good scrub at least once a week. It's revolting.

Seems like the staff got plenty of time to fix this, 'cause I hardly get a hello and they seem to be too caught up chattering amongst themselves or glued to their phones. Surely, there's a moment in their shifts to spruce up the bathrooms and showers.
Andrea Ramirez (5/6/25, 9:37 PM):
Such a splendid spot! Impeccably tidy every time I pop in as a guest on my missus's Black Card. The gym was always decent, but the improvements over the last few months are truly remarkable. The new management is simply stellar! Big shoutout to Tony. He made our day multiple times, and I'm sure other members share the sentiment.
Jason Hall (5/3/25, 4:03 PM):
I entered the gym to sign up for a membership, but when I was filling out the forms, I had to input my credit card details along with my checking information. It was a bit much for me - isn't one enough? The last time I gave out both, I got charged twice. I don't want to deal with that mess again. And on top of that, the lady at the front desk was terribly rude.

The explanation provided wasn't satisfactory. I was using my debit card, and if my checking information was also there and something went wrong, I wouldn't be able to prevent charges from both accounts. In my line of work, we only keep one card on file, and we manage without any issues like late fees.

Moreover, when I queried the person at the club's front desk about this, she didn't offer me any valid reason. Instead, she just brushed me off and made me feel unimportant as a guest or customer.
Logan Gomez (5/2/25, 8:57 PM):
I 'ave this feelin' like me biggest gripe right now is the random switch back to closin' on Sat and Sun. It actually almost made me switch gyms. Aside from that, this gym is pretty clean and tbh the staff always seems super friendly. They always remember me partner and I (probably 'cuz we are there 5 days a week) but still. Some of the really low reviews left 'ere are laughable at best. Complainin' about mask mandates or "hidden charges" 'cos they can't read or follow rules. Anyway, it's a cool place with some cool people.
