Last week I approached Milo Gonzalez, one of the managers, with a request for the ladies' gym to be equipped with a set of bar weights. He promptly took care of the matter. I was delighted to find the weights ready for me to use during my workout. It's great to see that the feedback from members is appreciated. Thank you.

I popped in for a trial membership to give this gym a whirl. Bear in mind it's my first time here. I didn't receive a thorough tour of the gym, nor were the rules clearly laid out for me. The place itself is well-maintained, and most of the gym equipment seems to be in working order. However, I encountered an issue with a staff member named Kim. I asked her where I could find the bikes, and she let out a sigh, pointed upstairs, and swiftly walked off. Later on, when I sought her advice on something else, she curtly responded that since I wasn't a member, she couldn't assist me. I thanked her politely and retreated.
As I settled on the floor preparing for some deadlifts, she came over and instructed me to leave because she thought I was using chalk. In reality, I was just using a tool to tend to my calluses, but my explanation fell on deaf ears as she simply said, "Doesn't matter, you're not a member." I won't be joining a gym that doesn't cater to potential members properly. Their management leaves much to be desired. So, I opted for Pharr Crunch instead, where everyone is greeted with a smile, the facility is superior, and it's half the price.

Why are they so pricey, I mean you stroll by from the exterior and it appears all posh, tempting you to step in. Once inside, you suddenly notice it's not as spacious as it seemed from outside, with not as many machines as other gyms, just seems generally overvalued for what's available indoors.
Grace Carter (4/1/25, 6:37 AM):
Brilliant gym. Just a quick stroll from my place, less than three minutes away. Top-notch equipment. Personally not too keen on the cardio setup upstairs. However, I do quite fancy their 50% off protein shakes offered daily from 1-3PM. Cheers!
Angela Thompson (3/31/25, 9:19 PM):
What a smashing atmosphere! The staff is ever so friendly, and the classes are top-notch. Every now and then a machine might be out of order, but the staff is quite good about sorting it out. The facility is always spick and span. The lockers are powered by batteries and let you input your own code, but a fair few of them have been flat for quite some time. Apart from that, jolly good experience overall! Cheers!

Pharr gym is like my second home away from home, I absolutely love to work out there. All the staff are lovely and it's always spotless!
Samantha Martin (3/29/25, 5:03 PM):
I enrolled my lad in their summertime camp and he absolutely adored it! What I appreciated was that I didn't need to be a member to register him. Throughout his stay, the staff were ever so amiable and greeted me warmly every time I strolled in.
Emma Bennett (3/28/25, 8:12 PM):
Fantastic customer service! Top-notch workout classes and brilliant instructors!!!
Alan Diaz (3/27/25, 10:02 PM):
I just wanted to give a big shoutout to Ruben for his unwavering dedication and consistency in always being on time to open the gym promptly at 5am. It's truly appreciated! He greets you with a cheerful "good morning" and sets the tone for a productive workout. A fantastic employee indeed...
Carol Ramos (3/27/25, 8:07 AM):
Absolutely brilliant! The staff are top-notch. The classes and instructors are absolutely fantastic.
Jessica Collins (3/26/25, 3:31 PM):
Superb customer service! Fantastic workout classes and fantastic instructors!!!
Ronald Collins (3/25/25, 4:28 PM):
Unlike other gyms, they offer a women's section! I would definitely recommend coming to this gym.
Ann Jenkins (3/25/25, 6:41 AM):
I absolutely adore the gym, fabulous atmosphere, and an abundance of machines for a solid workout session. The sauna is an absolute delight! However, it's rather off-putting that the lad at the front desk always seems preoccupied with his phone and put out when asked for help. It definitely takes away from the overall experience, you know? 🤔
Angela Lewis (3/24/25, 8:28 PM):
Hilton hotel guests can enjoy a workout here by simply presenting their room key. Fantastic opportunity to stay active!
Wayne Rodriguez (3/24/25, 7:59 PM):
For a facility that charges a pretty penny, the maintenance is absolutely dismal. A good portion of the machines are malfunctioning in some way or another. Many cable machines jam during use due to exposed wires and the attachments lack proper knurling. The benches are all torn up and the bars are excessively rusty. Furthermore, the free weight area is minuscule, hardly measuring 8x10. The one saving grace is that the cardio equipment functions properly and the staff is friendly. It raises questions about where exactly your membership fees are being allocated. It seems like they are likely lining the owner's pockets rather than investing in the upkeep of the gym. You'd honestly be better off exploring other fitness centers that offer more modern facilities and multiple locations, all at a lower cost.
Jerry Sanchez (3/24/25, 5:08 AM):
This gym is a fantastic spot for a workout. The trainers are more than willing to assist you if you ask for help. I've just completed three sessions with Adrian, one of their newest trainers, and I must say that the rates are quite reasonable. They are very helpful in ensuring that you perform your exercises correctly. Highly recommended!
Charlotte Jordan (3/23/25, 12:32 PM):
I don’t usually write reviews, but today I felt compelled to do so. Like many others, I have tried different trainers in the past, hoping they could help me reach my goals, only to be disappointed. It often feels like they think, "They need me, I don’t need them," right? Well, I have finally found a trainer who doesn’t see it that way, and his name is Randy Escobar. He puts in the WORK during workouts! What sets him apart is that he focuses on you and your specific needs during every session. Each workout is unique, unlike most trainers who repeat the same routine every Monday, Tuesday, and so on. If you’re in search of an exceptional trainer, choose Randy because you won’t regret it!!
Jack Morales (3/22/25, 9:20 PM):
The women's section is rather petite in comparison to the other branches. I am not content as the other branches boast a grander array of machines within their women's section than the Pharr location does. I firmly opine that they ought to be on par, for I am shelling out an equal sum as those frequenting the other locations. It would only be fair for us, as patrons, to access the other locations without incurring an additional monthly fee; it appears the company favors other cities over our own.
Ronald Patterson (3/22/25, 4:58 PM):
Fantastic gym after the refurbishment. Make sure to bring your headphones as the gym music selection leaves much to be desired. We understand your fondness for techno and female vocalists... but it's not a hit with everyone else.
Abigail Evans (3/21/25, 11:43 PM):
The gym was quite cramped and always bustling, making it difficult to have a proper workout. It seems like some folks lack gym etiquette as they just leave the dumbbells wherever is most convenient for them. Nonetheless, it's still better than not having a gym at all.
