Marvelous professional martial arts training establishment. I underwent training here for more than a year, and my experience was exceptional. I could distinctly observe my skill level improving week by week due to their training methodology. I have come across some adverse reviews concerning Jesse, but those must surely be fraudulent accounts. Jesse also conducted my consultation and was the first person I encountered at Combat Fitness - he was genuinely a down-to-earth chap. Even though I never trained with him, he always greeted me whenever our paths crossed. None of the individuals in the gym, be it the trainers or the practitioners, displayed any rudeness. While the fees may be slightly steep, I suppose that is par for the course with all martial arts gyms in this area. Highly recommendable.

I bloomin' well joined SBG three months before scribblin' this here review with hardly any MA experience and bein' well out of shape compared to the other folks in the gym.
I've been concentratin' solely on Muay Thai since joinin' and I've found a new passion and community. From day one, I've felt welcomed and respected not just by the coaches but by the other students as well, showin' what a crackin' culture the gym's got.
Right after signin' up, I took on 5 private Muay Thai lessons with Coach Becca and I absolutely loved 'em! Becca's a top-notch coach who's honest while still givin' some positive feedback when it's deserved.
I'm hittin' the gym 4 times a week for classes and doin' my own weight trainin' in the mornin'/early afternoon, and there's plenty of gear available whenever I need it.
Three months in and SBG has really smashed it for me, and I'm chuffed to bits to keep pushin' myself and progressin' in the Muay Thai program.

I absolutely adore SBG Idaho! They possess a pristine establishment, exceptional coaches, and a phenomenal curriculum. SBG is remarkably transparent, and I appreciate knowing what to expect! The coaches are incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and engage in ongoing training. Additionally, their kids' programs are fantastic. If you are ever considering training or having your children train, this is the place to be!
John Reyes (5/20/25, 4:17 PM):
The trainin' process be top-notch, and the staff along with all the folks trainin' be fantastic.

Fantastic facility for martial arts training and MMA classes.
Debra James (5/18/25, 9:14 PM):
I quite fancy my time at the gym, I do. I pop in mostly for BJJ, and occasionally for Judo. My work and life timetable is all topsy-turvy, and it's smashing to be able to attend class in the morning or early eve, depending on what's what. Each session, I reckon I pick up a nugget of useful knowledge or review something handy. The vibe is mostly friendly, with coaches and sparring partners being ever so kind, so no grumbles from me.
Diane Diaz (5/18/25, 9:01 PM):
I've enrolled at SBG with my son this year and it has truly been a top-notch experience for the both of us. Egos are left at the door and the staff and coaches are absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend SBG for experienced practitioners and newcomers alike who are keen on immersing themselves in the world of martial arts. The atmosphere is superb, such a great community.
Doris Sanchez (5/17/25, 10:45 AM):
Hands down the top spot in Idaho for mixed martial arts, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing, wrestling, and judo. The training staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always ready to lend a hand.
Matthew James (5/17/25, 1:07 AM):
Top-notch spot for MMA training, I must say.
Virginia Smith (5/15/25, 8:05 AM):
My lad has been attending the Kids MMA class at Combat Fitness for 3 months now and it's been brilliant all around. Since the very first day, the instructors have been incredibly welcoming and patient with the children, creating a truly nurturing learning atmosphere.
It's quite something to witness a mix of beginners and even professional UFC fighters training together on any given day. Without a doubt, Combat Fitness is the top choice gym in Idaho!
Gerald Clark (5/7/25, 9:05 PM):
The coaches at SBG Idaho are absolutely brilliant! The atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly. And the facility itself is just top-notch – roomy and spotlessly clean. I would wholeheartedly urge anyone in the Boise area to give these guys a go.
Diane Scott (5/5/25, 9:51 PM):
Combat Fitness is a brilliant MMA gym. From the moment I stepped through the door, I sensed the welcoming ambiance. Although I was a bit nervous at first, after just one class, I felt completely comfortable and at ease. Fantastic gym.
Mia Kim (5/3/25, 5:09 PM):
Top-notch staff!!!! They're so friendly and make sure you've got a good grasp of the techniques. I really appreciate how they create a welcoming environment for newcomers. It was a bit daunting being around experienced bjj practitioners, but they made me feel right at home and eager to learn in their classes. If you're keen on picking up some new skills, I can't recommend this gym highly enough!!!
Louis Hill (5/1/25, 6:25 PM):
Top spot to train MMA or BJJ. Top-notch facility with top trainers. The most professionally operated gym you'll come across.
Melissa Scott (5/1/25, 2:47 AM):
After a month of being a member, I must say I am pleasantly surprised. The folks here are much friendlier and more helpful than I had anticipated. Honestly, I checked out other places first because I thought this one was just for high-level MMA fighters. While there are definitely skilled athletes here, most of the people are regular folks like myself. I'm your typical middle-aged guy who's a bit overweight and looking for something more physically challenging.
As a complete beginner, the coaches have been really supportive and willing to chat and work with you after class. They welcome all levels of skill and fitness, encouraging everyone to push themselves at their own pace. There's no sense of superiority or bullying here; they're just happy to see you putting in the effort to better yourself. Whether you're older, overweight, not very athletic, or a competitive athlete, you'll feel at home here.
Safety and cleanliness are always top priorities, and the rates are quite reasonable compared to other places. The only downside I've come across so far is the limited parking space. Overall, my experience has been great, and I plan on keep coming back.
Noah Rodriguez (4/29/25, 8:16 PM):
I 'ad me trainin' 'ere fer about 3 months last summer in Boxing and Muay Thai. I 'ave plenty o' experience in other gyms, and this one is unforgettable. Great atmosphere, great athletes who are eager to learn, beginner friendly, and amazin' coaches and staff. I will be back 'ere again startin' in April and I can't wait!
Roy Morgan (4/29/25, 5:35 PM):
I moved to Idaho three years ago and began training at SBG shortly after. The staff and coaching at SBG Idaho have been outstanding. My son has been participating in their children's jiu-jitsu program for the past two years, and I am truly thankful for the dedication and support they have shown him. Whether you're an adult seeking to improve your fitness or have children in need of a positive activity, this is the place to be. Many thanks to all the staff for spreading their enthusiasm within the Boise community.
Wayne Gray (4/27/25, 11:23 AM):
Absolutely smashing gym, top-notch coaches and a cracking community of members. I've been having a jolly good time. As a bloke in a proper office job, this gym has really helped me shift from being a desk-dwelling champ to being back in shape with a renewed zest for life. I'll tell you what, that review moaning about the terms and conditions is a right numpty. The staff here are ever so accommodating. From my own experiences, they bend over backwards to work around your holidays and even offer extensions (which they don't have to do, mind you). Make sure you read the fine print and understand what you're getting into. This gym is top-notch, a real class act. Couldn't recommend it more highly.
Rachel Morris (4/26/25, 3:03 PM):
I've been training at this here place for over 3 years now and I must say I feel right lucky to have stumbled upon it. It's a grand gym, but it's got that cozy small gym vibe where the atmosphere is welcoming, friendly, and downright jolly. When I first walked in, I didn't know a soul nor a thing about martial arts, but before long, I had made some of my closest mates. They've got a top-notch beginners program, so you won't find yourself lost or out of your depth. The coaches are patient, kind, knowledgeable, and always willing to lend a helping hand. I get to spar with a right diverse bunch, from high-level black belts to folks just starting out, and I can honestly say, anyone would feel right at home here. Cheers!
